Welcome to Relaxation! Gulfside Villa 408

This is a studio villa located at Destin West Beach & Bay Resort on Okaloosa Island!

Relax on the fantastic balcony with a panoramic view of Okaloosa Island, to the left Choctawhatchee Bay, and to your right you will find the Gulf.

This Villa is on the Gulf side of the resort. Walk in and be prepared for a relaxing stay! New decor with flat screen Smart TV. The kitchenette has everything you need for your stay including fridge, 2 burner stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker & blender.

The Villa sleeps 4 with a queen bed in the bedroom area and sofa sleeper in the living area. Bathroom features large garden tub with stand alone shower.

The Destin West Resort offers a huge 5,000 square foot pool & children's pool on the Gulf side of the complex, in addition to a partially covered heated pool. Access to the bay side is easy by walking via catwalk over the highway to lounge around the signature 700' Lazy River Lagoon, pool with waterfall, two oversized hot tubs or just to check out the bay! Access is easy by walking via catwalk over the highway.

Destin West is within walking distance to so many amazing activities! The boardwalk and fishing pier, Wild Willy's Adventure Zone and the Gulfarium.

We booked this last minute as a halfway stop from Ft. Myers to extend spring break with our 9 year old. The room was perfect, great views, quick access from the parking garage to our room and was within walking distantce to multiple restaurants, shops and putt-putt

Great place to stay for the whole family. Close to great beach, pool, places to eat, shop and the pier and boardwalk. Prefect area to stay!! Walking distance to it all.

We loved our stay here. The condo is nice but only big enough barely for 2 people. Bed was comfortable. Only complaint I have is the rug in the living room is very dangerous as it rolls up and it's a trip hazard. Beautiful beach area and clean sparkling pools. Great place, will stay again!

Accommodations at west Destin

We’ve stayed several times. We usually stay at the Villas on the Gulf side. This year we were surprised to see a fine paint job both inside and out. Made the place look new. We also noticed security checking people going to and coming from the beach making sure they had wrist bands. There was security present at the Lazy River. I hope the leadership will continue to keep up security, it is a necessary element to give renters confidence with safety. Overall we liked what we saw. Destin is a fine vacation spot for sure.t

As advertised. Nice, clean space, close to everything. Easy communication with the property owner. Parking was literally steps away from the unit. If I had one “complaint” it would be that I have short legs and it was a little hard to get into the bed because it’s high off the ground.

Perfect unit for our needs

This unit worked out perfect for our family of four. 2 adults, 2 kids under 12. We did not miss having a bigger unit, as we spent most of our time at one of the many pools, or the beach. Everything was very close. Beach, pools, dining. In fact, we spent 3 of our days walking to the restaurants we ate at. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is large, and that was definitely appreciated. We would stay here again for sure. Oh yeah, as a pleasant surprise is that the island resort next door allows those staying at destin west to use all of their pools and facilities as well. Awesome!

Our first time to rent a condo in the Villas section of DestinWest. Very convenient to parking garage and not a bad hike to the beach. Road noise is a problem, would be my only complaint.

Summer Trip

We really enjoyed our stay! The unit was clean and had a great view of the bay and Gulf. You could see the dunes from the balcony as well. We extended our stay by one night. The process was quick and easy! We will definitely stay here again!!!

The property was very clean and we enjoyed the amenities while there. The condo was tastefully decorated and supplied. Good water pressure. Very disappointed with the bed, was extremely uncomfortable and were unable to have 1 comfortable nights rest.

A peaceful and relaxing getaway!

First and foremost, let me start with the awesome service. Booked two nights and received a message from the property manager right away confirming booking. Received another message confirming check-in and wishing us a peaceful and relaxing vacation the day of, a Thank You message afterwards. To the property manager, thank you for being so thoughtful and awesome! Second, check-in was a breeze. Everything was ready to go when I got there no wait time at all. A wowed moment 🙂... Let me also highlight this part of my stay before getting my villa. Listen, I stayed on the fourth floor and the convenience of having an attached parking garage was a major highlight. Getting out of my car walking a few steps to my room, made my stay much more beautiful and added extra comfort to my stay. Now, rating my stay. Walking into my villa, I was so speechless, it was way more than I expected. The villa, was very spacious, clean and just so beautiful plus it’s on the Beach. Everything about it was perfect. I also had access to the pools, beach, fitness center, bar and etc. The location of the villa was perfect, I was in the middle of a good time. I visited Destin Harbor Boardwalk, Fudpucker’s, Mezcal Mexican Grill, Pepper’s Mexican Grill and Chick-fil-A. To conclude, everything about our stay was five stars. I would stay here again and I would also recommend this villa to others. The cleanliness of the property was top notch. The service was above average. The location of the villa was perfect. The check-in/ checkout process was very simple. Everything was perfect!

Spring Break

I felt like the description online was very misleading. Our villa was not on the beach, in fact, you could barely see the ocean. The villa was not cleaned very well, and I thought for $155.00 extra, it should have been. The lazy river and the laundry was at another hotel adjoined to ours, which was very inconvenient. And wasn't described that way. It was just a disappointment.

Family vacay

The property was beautiful. The room was amazing!! My son and his family had rented a larger unit so we had two on the property . Excellent location beautiful facility ! A lot of walking to get from pool to pool but otherwise we had a wonderful time ! Weather was exceptional staff courteous property owner responded very quickly with any questions I had! We had a wonderful time

I have been traveling to Ft. Walton Beach with my family since I was a kid and always stayed at the Ramada with the amazing waterfall! When the opportunity came to own a condo that was part of this facility I jumped at the chance. Now I can bring my family whenever we want to a beach that holds memories for me.
