About this property

Waterfront Walden's Creek•Hot Tub•Deck Firepit•10 min from Pigeon Forge

Two bed room/Two bath family home. Located 15 minutes away from The Island in Pigeon Forge and 30 minutes from Gatlinburg. Cabin is beautifully decorated and filled with lovely antiques. Large spacious kitchen, beautiful eat-in kitchen area. Plenty of room in the bedrooms and baths. Sit on the deck and absorb the sounds of beautiful Waldens Creek and wildlife. Bears have been present all summer.

All you need to bring is your clothes and food. We supply all the linens, soap, dish detergent, cups, dishes etc.. with every rental. Whaley's grocery store is 3 miles away for additional supplies. This is our family vacation home and upgrades will include Wi-Fi, Hot Tub, Tabletop firepit, Grill and Family games provided. Beautiful deck overlooking waterfront creek. In fact, one pylon sits in the water, that's how close. Patio furniture on deck including rocking chairs and table. Again, it's our family home and Looks the part, it will look different from other commercial rental cabins. Board games, cards, Checkers, Pool Table, Jenga, Coffee maker (Folgers) and few other items.

Stock kitchen with all utensils, microwave, stove, grill. Washer/Dryer is available if you need to wash clothes during stay. New softner & Hvac recently installed. It's well water, bring some bottled water is recommended. Basic local Cable & Wifi included in master and living room. DVD provided with a selection of 60 movies, not many kid type DVD'S. This is a 2bd/2 ba cozy home. Bedrooms have queen size beds and an additional pull out sleeper sofa. Extra sofa is available for additional sleeping option. New small Roku TV added to Living Room. Please bring logins to watch. Free App channels included like Roku & Pluto

Home is on a septic and well water system. A 2019 Culligan Filtration system has been installed to remove minerals and iron. During drought conditions there may be a sulfuric odor at times from well as you enter. It quickly dissipates. Just by closing Hallway bathroom door you may never notice it.. You may see red staining in hot tub, bathtub or sinks from hard water iron stains. Cabin cleaners bleach tub and bathrooms to try and remove redness. Creek level is based on rainfall. I've seen it look like a raging river to very low during long periods when lacking rainfall. Water pressure may be low at times from well when showering.

Things to bring: Bottled water, Bag of Ice, additional toiletries and supplies for longer stays. Bring Fire starter log or stack to use fireplace, available from Sept to March. Cabin feels secluded because only two year round individual residents, 1 other vacation homes in same area but homes are nearby.

3125 on the cabin is home. Mailbox looks like its in front of cabin but it's for the home down the road. No mailbox for 3125.

If you would like your favorite groceries or needing additional supplies before your arrival or after we recommend Shipt or Instacart.

This is a older decorated family lived in, homey, imperfect cabin. Please come with that in mind and you will love it like my family does. Screen door may stick, leaves are abundant on the deck, ants or dust may be present. Creek may wash debris up by the cabin. Trash container is in Shed. Bears kept putting it into creek so it's locked inside Shed. Key provided.

Hot Tub on deck. 110v not 220v. It may take 12+hrs to warm up after clean. Longer in winter.

There is a $100 security deposit for incidentals that will be returned by Vrbo. New LVP installed through cabin. Newer Deck Grill and Newer Table Firepit added. Full size starter propane tank provided. You may need to refill if it runs out. Please do not leave empty for next guest.

Quaint but Questionable

Quaint little cabin tucked away in a nice neighborhood with a creek in the back. The floor was unstable in parts of cabin, the fans had not been cleaned in quite some time, black ants all over the bathroom counters, the water dripped in both bathrooms and the smell was a STRONG sulfur smell and nasty taste. The water pressure overall was very weak. The floor in the hallway bathroom was unstable and unsafe—tiles lifting and caught our socks multiple times but we were lucky to not cut ourselves. Pans for cooking are for an induction over not a regular electric stove and they were incredibly old. No broom to sweep, short a pillow case—had to purchase one and the Roku TV worked at times.

Buyer Beware

This house is not what it appears to be. The furnishings are very old and not inviting. The smell of moth balls in this cabin was overwhelming. So much so that we weren’t able to stay and had to book a different cabin in spite of not getting any refund on this one.

Great place

This was an awesome place to stay. The creek in the back with the deck overlooking it was fantastic. Very serene setting. Neighbors were friendly. Host was easy to communicate with and very kind. Would recommend anyone staying there. Would suggest that you take blankets as there were not enough but great place to get peace and quiet.

Great location

The home was dated. Looked like a funeral home decoration. Had issues with lighting and lamps with no bulbs and switches that did not work. Did contact owner and did get the switch fixed. The two burns on right of the store would not come on due to knobs not turning. The view of creek out back was wonderful. The home could be better up to date for the amount you pay. Great location from pigeon Forge 20 minutes.

Needs some upgrades

Fully functional stove needed, front porch steps are loose and no handrail, extra towels would be great and some better pans to cook with and some baking/casserole pans.

Quaint home and quiet area.

Quiet place to stay, well away from the hustle & bustle, which is what we were looking for. We enjoyed the fireplace nightly, pool table often, and the hot tub one night. We were forewarned of possibly sulfur smell of well water, but didn’t encounter it much except when showering & washing dishes — decided to take next showers at home. Water pressure in kitchen was very low and it was difficult to wash dishes. Place seemed cleaned but exterior/yard appeared to have little or no upkeep. There were soap packets for a dishwasher so it was funny watching my husband hunt for the non-existent dishwasher. I’m guessing the cleaners weren’t paying attention. :-) We can tell from reading the guests books that many people have enjoyed their stays there!

Lovely Vacation Home

This was a nice vacation home. It was within 30 minutes driving distance to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Great Smoky Mountains. The hot tub was great. The background sound of the stream was very soothing and relaxing.

First time visit for son-in-law to mountains.

It was stress free. I was able to handle all arraignments before leaving home. There was no check in hassles, no room not ready and no other inconvenience. I would recommend this to family and friends.

We had to keep the windows open in the bathrooms and the doors closed in order to tolerate the sulfur odor. Bathrooms could be cleaner. Outside of that, it was a comfortable stay. I wouldn’t stay again because of the smell.

Snowy Christmas Vacation

Vacationing the week of Christmas, we wanted a nice relaxing place to unwind from this crazy year. David's cabin did just that. We spent most of our time in the hot tub, or playing games and watching movies. (We introduced our teenager to some classic 80s hits!) The cabin was perfect for our needs. The best part was getting snow on Christmas Eve and waking up to a beautiful White Christmas! The check-in process was smooth, and David did a great job explaining everything in his check-in information. Thank you for a great stay and a memorable Christmas.

Not what we expected

Very disappointed with this cabin. The pictures and info made sound amazing. Upon our arrival, the sulfer smell smacked you in the face, and the smell was constantly taking over the guest bathroom. Ants were all over the place. There was rat/mice poison, along with mice droppings in the both bathrooms. The guest bathroom shower looks to have mold growing on the wood that is in there, so we all shared the master bath for showers. The hot tub took well over 24 hours to heat up, and upon inspection of the hot tub, you can tell it hasn't been cleaned in forever, there were all sorts of particalls floating around, and as soon as you would get out, you would feel slimey. *note: we didn't notice how dirty it was until we turned the jets off*. Both beds seemed to have some sort of pet hair on them. As for the owner. We never contacted him during our stay. We didn't want cleaners coming while we were on vacation. I will note. He seems like he likes things very clean, and organized, but this house said the very opposite. There were even dead bugs on the window seals. He says its a "family" home, but upon doing some research, he only bought the home in 2019, and it came fully furnished. You only have 4 or 5 channels to choose from to watch TV, and the DVD player wouldn't work. The house has settled so much, you can't play pool, because the balls constantly roll, and its also missing a ball. The doors are not level, part of the cealing is higher than the rest, the molding is cracked at the top. And part of the kitchen/bar area is not flush with the floor anymore. I honestly don't deem this house to be safe, at least not until some major renovations are done. Also, upon arrival, the front door was unlocked, and all the lights were on. All in all, we will NOT be back to this cabin. It was way over priced for the condition it was in. I could've gotten a very NICE and CLEAN hotel, with comfortable beds, for cheaper. Best part of this cabin was the location. Everything else was trash.
