Extended Stay Large Waterfront Home in Secluded Bamboo Forest in Burlington NC
Are you in need of a temporary home? This fully-furnished contemporary house in Burlington is a perfect alternative to a long term hotel stay. Our ideal guests are companies/individuals working long term projects in the area; corporations needing housing for sales teams, management teams, executive relocations; owners displaced while building or waiting for a home etc. This house features an open floor plan perfect for entertaining. Built entirely out of repurposed materials, the beams and flooring are 100+ year-old heart of pine. Barn wood and reclaimed tin accent the entrance and sunroom. The 600 sq. ft. sunroom has 4 garage doors opening to a 600 sq. ft. deck overlooking the water to create a perfect outdoor retreat. There are 5 bedrooms and 2.5 baths; two of the bedrooms have lofts for additional sleeping areas. The kitchen is modern and fully furnished. The setting is very tranquil and private, nestled in a 10 acre compound with a bamboo grove and majestic oak and hickory trees providing shade and privacy. Lots of wildlife around including deer, foxes, rabbits, squirrels, and herons. The location is close to everything (grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, hospital, movies, etc) but it feels like you are in another world. Try to catch a bass or bluegill in the two acre pond, hike thru the bamboo trail or use the kayak or canoe over by the gazebo. The setting has to be seen to be believed. Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome.

Stayed for Elon graduation. This place was perfect. Plenty of room to relax and visit with family. Rooms are very comfortable. The outdoor space was a welcome treat. And, the decor was so fun. Thanks for sharing the place with us. We loved it.
We had 7 adults and 3 children (6yr, 6 yr, 4 yr) all stay together in the house. We thoughly enjoyed it. The house itself is very unique and beautiful, and was very comfortable for such a large group. The kids loved exploring the bamboo gardens and pond, while the adults enjoyed the outdoor deck area and the ping pong table. Kitchen was well supplied for family dinners. Overall, a truely wonderful place to make memories!
I stayed at this property for a month, with various family members visiting during that time. The setting is serene, and the owners were extremely responsive and helpful. The garage doors opening to a view of the lake really made this house extra special. I thought in the heat of the summer that it would either be too hot or too buggy. There were only a few very hot and humid days where I kept the doors shut, but the bugs were not a problem at all. The house is spacious and conducive to large gatherings. The beds were very comfortable. Note that only nimble people (i.e. kids) will be able to climb up to the loft beds! Overall, this was a lovely and quiet place to stay with the luxury of being 5 minutes from the highway.
Great place for our family to stay for HPU graduation
We came as a family of 9 for a graduation at HPU. The house is very unique and relaxing. We spent most of our free time on the patio area with countless ping pong games, card game and naps while listening to the pond fountain. The drive to our sons college was only about 35 minutes and all highway so easy to get around.
Enjoyed our stay at this unique property. Even though the property is very close to the interstate, it is both convenient and secluded at the same time — you are not bothered by traffic road noise. Ample bedrooms and well stocked, the only note would be about TVs. There is plenty to keep you occupied without TV, but if you like TV as a distraction, be prepared to use your own channel service accounts and know there are not TVs in some locations where you would expect them to be. Otherwise, you will find this property to be perfect for a get away with family and/or friends.
This place was amazing!! So much detail, character, and love went into this home. We loved our stay in preparation for our wedding. Thank you for making this a truly memorable way to kick off our wedding preparations. We would love to stay here again!

We stayed in two homes on this amazing property. My family was not only comfortable but overwhelmed by this hidden gem. Wished we could have all stayed so much longer. So accessible to everything but felt like we were in our own oasis.
Plenty of room for the 8 of us. The living room was spacious and we especially LOVED the room with the ping-pong table and the glass garage doors that opened to the back yard
Loved this property. Clint and Rebecca were communicative and amazing host. Looking forward to staying again if the opportunity presents itself. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a comfortable and fun space to stay in- this is your place.
Great indoor/outdoor gathering space in beautiful custom home
This house was custom designed and built by the owner for his family to live in. They ended up living elsewhere, but we are the beneficiaries of the artistry and thought put into this unique home and property. It far exceeded my expectations and gave our group of about 8 adults both the spaces we needed for privacy and the gathering spaces to be together. We spent most of our time out on the enormous porch next to the pond and fountain (which cuts out the nearby highway noise for this home). One of our guests got Covid but was able to stay in one of the other, smaller homes and join us on the deck. It exceeded all our needs. Book it - you won't regret it.
Great house for family with small children. Plenty of room to run and play. Also park nearby. Beautiful scenery out the back doors. Close to lots of restaurants, stores. We were attending a wedding in Liberty NC and it was perfect for our family.
This property, as well as the home were very unique. It was a convenient location that was private and had the feel of being secluded. There were many artsy touches. It was an adventure and overall great experience!
We rented the property for our son’s college graduation weekend. We had all our family in town and needed a large space to gather. The house and grounds were perfect! We loved the house, and there was room for us all. Everyone loved the unique features of the house, and the outdoor space was our favorite!
The house was comfortable and looked great. We would want the smoke detectors to be installed, and the beds in the descriptions/pictures did not match the layouts of beds in the actual home, but that wasn't really too much of a setback. Loved the openness to the outside.
