Inspired by the adventurous pirate ships of old, Mermaid’s Moon is a one-of-a-kind, ground-floor haven at Moondrifter. Ten footsteps out your front door puts you on the beach boardwalk. Open the gates of your two private, beachfront patios and you’re at the pool.
Mermaid’s Moon has just been completely renovated to give you 21st century amenities while staying true to the romance of the past. It boasts smart TVs with 214 channels including premium sports and movies plus newly-upgraded WiFi throughout, all free. The living room opens onto a huge, beachfront private patio and features a 65-inch TV and a hearty selection of books—enough to keep the testiest crew entertained.
The kitchen boasts stainless-steel appliances—double-oven range with glass cooktop, warming center, and convection option; including refrigerator with crushed and cubed ice; large microwave, dishwasher, and a separate ice machine for drinks or loading coolers to tote outdoors. You’ll also find an Instant Pot and a crockpot. The dining table and breakfast bar each seat six.
Mermaid's Moon has four bedrooms and three full baths (including two master suites) as well as a bunk room and can comfortably sleep 12 in real beds. (Pirates do not believe in sleeper sofas.) It has two separate air conditioning systems and two water heaters.
The Captain's Cabin features a supremely luxurious memory foam king bed, a 50-inch TV, and views of both the pool and the beach through the window wall with sliding glass door that opens onto its own poolside patio. The en-suite bathroom has double sinks, a separate shower, and a gloriously oversized soaker tub.
The Quartermaster's Cabin has a luxurious memory foam king bed, a 43-inch TV, and views of the beach from two walls of windows and a sliding glass door that opens onto the big main patio. The adjacent full bathroom is off the private hall that links it and the bedroom.
The First Mate's Cabin also features a luxurious memory foam king bed, a 43-inch TV and a beach view through the nautical mullioned window.
The large Second Mate’s Cabin sleeps four with a double sized bunk and has a 32-inch TV.
The Forecastle sleeps two in a bunk room tucked off the living room. It has its own 24-inch TV.
In addition to the Captain's and Quartermaster’s en-suite baths, Mermaid's Moon has an additional well-appointed bathroom with a large shower.
The Main Deck (or ‘patio’) stretches almost the full length of Mermaid's Moon and can be accessed from both the living room and the Quartermaster's Cabin. From here you can also slip out the gate onto the short path to the pool. The Aft Deck, right off the Captain's Cabin, gives you easy access to the pool and has views of the entire pool deck and the beach.
You'll find a spacious patio with barbecue grills and picnic tables right outside your front door. The resort also features a tennis court and shuffleboard deck, and a local company offers parasailing adventures, wave runners and banana boat rides in season. Mermaid’s Moon has room to stash beach chairs/toys in its Cargo Bay with full-size washer and dryer.
