Welcome to lovely Baker City! We hope you love our home as much as we do! The house was built in 1935 by the local high school students. We offer a large fenced yard and small patio in the back for barbecues in the summer. The house offers three bedrooms which are smaller rooms due to the age of the house however they still accommodate queen size beds. Located minutes from Main Street you can take an easy walk into town for dining, shopping, parades and other festivities offered. We also have a full finished basement which we call our Man Cave, a nice cool spot to relax in the heat of summer.

The house was nicely updated and extremely clean. We appreciated the small touches such as coffee available. Just a few blocks from eating and shopping. Definitely recommend this property.

This home is beautifully renovated yet still has all its original character. Quiet, comfortable and convenient. The kitchen is very well equipped. The beds are comfortable. It has a record player with a large collection of classic albums and a juke box in the basement. The large back yard has a great sitting area, a grill, and a propane fire table. The shower in the basement bathroom is fantastic. We enjoyed our stay very much and will stay here again if we have occasion to be in Baker City.
We have stayed here many times and love this little house. It is a perfect location to walk to all the restaurants and shops. The house is fun with the turntable, dartboard and mancave downstairs. Plenty of supplies and room for 6 with the 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Love it!
The place was wonderful! Everything was clean and comfy with some fun amenities.
For a small house it had a ton of space! The open kitchen was lovely. The downstairs movie room was awesome. Beds were comfy - everything was super clean. The backyard patio with privacy fence was also nice and off-street parking!
Enjoyed our visit the place was nicely done and beds were comfortable. Very close to city center. Fell in love with the Sweet Wife Baking - were there every morning!
We were blown away by the beautiful decor and all the extra amenities (record player with great old albums! rain shower! art!). Beautiful home, comfortable furniture, lots of dishes & cooking supplies (inc. many spices, oil, etc.), great yard & patio, great location. Would definitely stay again.
Check in was easy. The house was very clean and had just about anything you might want. The only thing missing was A/C in the 3rd bedroom. It was a very hot week! The men were super impressed by the downstairs shower that was handmade out of copper. Loved hanging out in the backyard. Appreciated the fenced in parking to keep our motorcycles out of view. Only a short walk to downtown. Our overall stay was great and would come back again!
Jukebox, record player, firepit and totally unique decor makes this house amazing! This house is super comfy and stocked with everything you need!. The detail of the renovations are unique just like the special items listed above! We have already booked for another stay! Communication top notch and location is perfect for walking to main street or hitting the road up to Anthony Lakes! AWESOME!!!
The Stucco house is a great place to stay. Loads of memorabilia throughout the house. The “man cave” was a great place to stay cool. And the proximity to the town is great. Definitely will come back for a stay.
This was my second time staying at this house. That’s how great it was - I’ve stayed here before and chose again! Ideally located within walking distance to Main Street and all the happenings. Very cozy.
The Stucco Cottage is cozy and comfy. It’s a quiet neighborhood with a train or two coming through south of town, but that just adds some historical atmosphere. Loved the large, private back patio area!
This is our first experience renting a house online for vacation and it was great. This house was charming and comfortable, very clean and well organized, plus the beds very comfy w/ Posture Pedic mattresses. Im hoping we can rent this house again next year.

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer Greenwell
My husband and I are from Western Washington and started traveling with our young family to Baker City in the early 2000's to dabble in some small time gold mining. We quickly fell in love with the Mayberry feel of town. It's the little things, less traffic, having people stop when you approach a crosswalk, being able to visit with local shop owners. Our favorite thing though is the weather, we love the brightness of the area as we come from a much grayer and wet region. We hope to retire here in the near future!
Why they chose this property
After many trips and many hotel stays locally we started having fun "window shopping" homes in the area that were for sale. Our young daughter found this house listed on Craigslist and begged us to drive by. We fell in love with the house immediately and the story continues from there.
What makes this property unique
We decorated our home to make it feel historical, yet still practical for todays lifestyles.
