Wesley and Marsha were extremely friendly hosts and a huge help as I figured out my travel plans. Their space is also a beautiful home on a nice, quiet property, just as advertised!
The house and location was perfect for us. We really appreciated having the large house to stay in during our hunting trip. Along with 5 adults, we had an infant and a toddler and had plenty of room. The house was very clean and comfortable. And we enjoyed our brownies!
Property was accurately described and very comfortable. We were in town for the loss of our uncle and they made us feel so welcome. The host even helped us with the clean out of our uncles home and invited the church to donate a lot of the items in the house to families with needs. We would definitely stay again if in town and highly recommend staying there. Thanks again!
If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place to find it. So very quiet and relaxing. Very convenient to several beautiful trails. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Yakoke!
This property was perfect for our stay. I'm a coach and usually have to travel with extra kids so the layout of this home was perfect.
It was difficult at times with only 1 restroom but we managed!
We had a wonderful time. The owners are in the property. We got to tour the farm, engage with the animals, and utilize the state park that was just a few minutes away. It was the perfect weekend getaway for a busy family. We swam, hiked, rented a little boat and fished at the state park. Just awesome!
This house is comfortable and roomy. There are enough beds in the 3 rooms for 3 families. The hardwood floors makes cleaning simply. The kitchen has all of the cooking and preparation supplies you need. The property manager is right next door, and is very responsive to any request. It is very well a farm, and I would recommend it to anyone.
Overall the stay was nice. I did have a few concerns though: the house is right next to the owners house...basically the same yard. Really, the only problem I had with that was there were no curtains or blinds on the windows in the porch , kitchen or living room and anyone could see right in--& that area was the main part of the house. The owners were nice and accommodating-Marsha showed my grandsons around & the animals: but really didn't want them outside by themselves. (the purpose of our stay was for them to run and play ) The pond was not within walking distance from the house, was really grown up and the docks didn't look very safe to walk on. We did go to the White Oak State Park which was a few miles from there and fished. I am a country girl myself and realize there are mice on farms; but we saw about 4 or 5 on the porch by the loveseat...may need to put out some traps. One other review said this place was not kid-friendly...I would have to agree as there are many 'what-knots' inside and on the porch and with the not being able to play outside situation. Overall, for a couple or elderly just wanting to get away for a weekend, etc...it's a nice place to stay.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house is sparkling clean and has everything you could possibly need. Our grandsons especially enjoyed petting the donkeys and exploring the farm. It's remote and you can see the stars and fall asleep to the sound of frogs and crickets.
