About this property
Apartment 'Ira' in Kerveli Luxury Villa, Pool & Folklore Museum
Kerveli Luxury Villa is a newly stone-built villa with 3 large apartments designed in a traditional Greek style and can offer all modern comforts. It is open all year round and located amongst colourful gardens of bougainvillea, fruit & olive trees and aromatic herbs. For more details you can also visit our web-site:
Charmingly & traditionally furnished to provide a most comfortable holiday all year round, the two-bedroom apartments, 'Artemis' & 'Poseidon' and the one bedroom apartment, 'Ira', reflect discreet taste and a sense of elegance with a large living room and dining area with a fire-place, an open plan fully-equipped kitchen leading out onto shaded terraces for alfresco dining, overlooking the garden and the Aegean Sea.
The swimming pool within the tranquil grounds surrounded by stone- built walls is the perfect setting to enjoy the sun and swim in privacy.
This romantic spot is an ideal honeymoon destination and appropriate for unforgettable holidays with family & friends. Only a minute’s walk from the beach and surrounded by cypress trees, olive groves and beautiful gardens, is the perfect place to relax.
Small Folklore Museum & Wine Cellar: Situated in the basement of the 'Kerveli luxury Villa' is a small folklore museum, displaying mainly objects from the beginning of the last century which the owner’s family predecessors used in their home, fields, olive groves and vineyards. Farming tools, household utensils together with old pieces of furniture, clothing, antique cameras and miscellaneous objects give an insight on the way of living on the island of Samos throughout the years.
There is a broad selection of Samos wines also on exhibit in the wine cellar as well as the owner’s own biological red and sweet wine which guests are welcome to try. The family vineyards are located in the north west of the island in Agios Dimitrios near Karlovasi.
Samos Island, a brief tour: Samos is an island of incomparable beauty combining a significant historical heritage with spectacular natural landscape. It is the birthplace of famous intellects and artists of the ancient era, such as the mathematician & philosopher Pythagoras and the astronomer Aristarchos. Impressive archaeological findings reveal the grandeur of this civilization, the “tunnel of Efpalinos” an aqueduct built in the 6th century BC by two teams who dug simultaneously from both sides of a mountain and met within marginal error. It is considered a wonder given the minimal means of those times, and alongside the Temple of Hera and the largest “Kouros” (male statue) to be found in the country, is to mention just a few of the important sights awaiting your visit.
Samos also produces the worldwide acknowledged by annual golden medals Muscat wine; a unique wine enjoyed for many centuries and praised by Lord Byron (1788-1824) in his poem “The Isles of Greece”.
Kerveli Bay & Samos Island: Kerveli Bay, apart from its unsurpassed surroundings of every imaginable shade of blue & green in nature and the prettiest sheltered beach with the tamarisk trees, is only a 15 minutes drive from the north coast and the south part of the island. This makes it an ideal place from where you can explore the scenery of Samos, which is bound to leave every visitor breathless with its ancient sites, unspoiled bays & coves with crystal clear waters, steep mountains, forests, the wide variety of wild flowers & orchids, vineyards, olive & orange groves.
The aroma of blossom, the taste of fruit and salt water is enough to make you picture Samos as a part of paradise on earth…
