A HISTORIC RESIDENCE

Amid an abundance of restaurants, cafés, bars and markets, you'll be able to have a comfortable home! This is the 3rd floor of a building constructed shortly after the San Francisco earthquake and fires of 1906.

This is a hosted rental meaning that I live here in the home.

There are 2 other rooms available for guests to rent:
* The front room has a queen bed with 2 large windows, a beautiful red antique bed frame and other vintage pieces.

At the end of the hall is a sun-filled kitchen and dining area. The kitchen has a gas range and oven, fridge, and various kitchen tools to make home-cooked meals. Coffee, cream, eggs, butter, fruit, oatmeal, maple syrup, bread, milk, and other cooking supplies are available for guests. Breakfast is self-made. I do not prepare breakfasts for guests. The bright dining area is a wonderful place to enjoy drinks or meals. I custom made the dining table and other furniture. There is seating for 8. Feel free to just use the dining table as a desk/work space.

My house shares one vanity/sink room and one bathroom (with toilet and shower). Walk through the kitchen to the sink room which, has a sink, vanity area, various supplies, and windows to the ceiling, various supplies. Through another door is the bathroom with a toilet and shower/bath. Having these two separate spaces makes it possible for one person to be using the toilet or shower in the bathroom while another person may brush their teeth in the sink room.

I provide a make-up mirror with a light, blow dryer, cotton balls, q-tips, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, earplugs, band-aids, sunscreen, and a few feminine products in case of emergency.

The house doesn't include a clothes washer and dryer, but there's a laundromat a half block away and laundry supplies are provided.

Abundant Parking Options:
There is free street parking in the neighborhood. Most of it has a 2 hour limit between 8am Monday - 9pm Saturday. So, you can park for free in a spot from 7pm in the evening to 10am in the morning before you have to move. Since the time limit doesn't apply on Sunday, you can leave it from 7pm Saturday night to 10am Monday morning for free.

There are also parking meters in the streets immediately around the house. They are enforced Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm. So you can park for free from 6pm to 9am and all day on Sunday. After that, it's around $2.25 per hour which you can pay at the meter with change or a credit card, or from your smartphone with an app called PayByPhone. You can even pay in advance for the first 2 hours of parking in the morning the night before by using the app.

With any street parking or meter parking, *please* be sure to read the *signs* and the *parking meter* itself for any limitations such as street cleaning hours.

There is a parking lot right in front of the house. It costs $15 for each 12 hours. If you use the car during the day then you could just pay $15 for the night. Or you can park in the lot during the day for $15 and park on the street for free at night if you want to.

You can also park in a number of nearby parking garages. There are 2 parking garages a half block away on Vallejo. The Vallejo Garage charges $3-4 per hour. The North Beach Garage charges $4-5 per hour. They have an "Early Bird Special" where Monday through Friday, if you enter between 4:30am to 9am then exit before 10pm, the Vallejo Garage charges $18 and the North Beach Garage charges $20. They both charge $36 for 24 hours. So you could park in the garage during the day then park on the street for free and save $16-$18. They are open 24 hours a day.
The North Beach Garage 735 Vallejo Street, San Francisco, CA 94133
Vallejo Street Garage 766 Vallejo Street, San Francisco, CA 94133

There is a parking lot across the street at 626 Green Street which charges $11 until 7pm.

The Powell Street Parking garage is usually $12 for a weekday from morning to about 6pm. The price goes up in evenings and weekends, however as stated earlier you can park for free in the evenings on the street. They close between 10pm and 2am depending on the day. So you could switch off between the garage during the day and street at night and save money if you wanted to.

San Francisco weekend

Sara and Aaron were amazing hosts. The house is so lovely and has the character you’re looking for when you come to SF. We were impressed with Sara’s directions and suggestions upon arrival and absolutely fell in love with Chinatown and all surrounding neighborhoods.

Extraordinary host!!!

Sara is above and beyond the term “super host”. Her carrying and nurturing nature makes you feel at home and loved. I would definitely stay with her again and cannot recommend it enough! The home is perfectly located within the walking distance to the center, restaurants, grocery shopping and some attractions. The room I stayed in is super quiet at night and the bed is the best! It’s super comfy, like a cloud... The problem is you don’t want to get out of it 😉 Thank you Sara for being amazing!!!

Sara corbett's room was a very successful event for us on a four-days trip to Sun Francisco. Niza&Of

It was avery successful event for us on a four-days trip to Sun Francisco. Although the conditions are modest (and the price accordingly!), the location is excellent and the landlady is wouderful. Highly recomended for a few days in town. Ofer and Nitsa

Great time in San Francisco

This was the first time my wife and I booked a shared açcomodation, and we were unsure about how it would be. The result was a very pleasant surprise as Sara was the most gracious and welcoming host, making us feel comfortable and enauring we had everything we required to make the most of our stay. She created an atmosphere where all guests were comfortable and as a result it was very pleasant social experience with everyone. Many fun discussions and many laughs. Sara would be the first to contact if we are thinking about returning to San Francisco, and we would not hesitate to recommend to our friends and family.

Amazing stay in San Fran!

We had an absolutely great stay with Sara. The apartment was clean, easily accessible, within walking distance to many things to do in the city, if not multiple public transport stops nearby, was well stocked with breakfast foods and everything you could need on your stay. Sara was a beyond amazing host, she had great and detailed advice/suggestions, she went above and beyond for the guests. Don’t hesitate to ask her for something, she probably has it tucked away in the apartment just waiting for you to use. Such as reading our minds and providing us with a picnic blanket for wine nights in one of the multiple parks. I would definitely recommend Sara and Aaron and will stay again when I come back to San Francisco.

Wonderful!

The property is clean and well-situated for travelers who enjoy walking to different sites. The rooms are very clean and Sara is a wonderful host who will provide recommendations and help if you need it. Note: You may be staying with other people. Two other couples stayed in the other two rooms while we were there, which made things a little tight (eg. there is only one bathroom). However, as they were lovely, respectful people and as everyone was doing their own thing, it was not a problem. 100% would recommend this home for anyone visiting San Francisco who is looking for a nice room, a great host, and a good location.

Sanctuary in the city

Very positive experience on all levels. The room was clean, and surprisingly quiet. I wanted to sleep in and I was concerned that city noises may wake me early. I slept like a baby. Not the real baby that wakes up every 2 to 4 hours crying, but the baby of lore and metaphor that sleeps long and deep. This room has no outside facing windows, hence the quietude, but I am used to sleeping with a window cracked for constant fresh air, Sara made extra accommodations for me and kept the hall facing window open with a fan in the room and open windows in the rest of the house during the day that made a huge difference for me. This brings me to Sara. an amazingly caring conscientious hostess. Her communications were detailed and thorough leaving me feeling confident in unfamiliar surroundings. She gave recommendations for parking and restaurants, easy to understand instructions and house rules. Awesome neighborhood BTW. In the heart of the North Beach. Fabulous everything in walking distance. Other amenities in the house were excellent. Very clean and orderly. Kitchen was easy to navigate and well stocked with breakfast basics. Teas, coffee and creamers, eggs etc... Bathroom was very clean and a great shower. I was in the city for a weekend long dance festival and was arriving back at my room very late (early in the morning) and slept as late as I could. I could not imagine a better fit for me.

Sara and Aaron, the hosts are wonderful, warm and welcoming people. They made me feel at home, provided some special food for my GF diet. Sara is an amazing guide and gave me plenty of suggestions for places to visit and discover. I was sad to leave this excellent home. Thanks again to Sara & Aaron!
