The gravel road leading to the entrance was quite bumpy. There was an odd bump out that is directly over the bed impacting the head of the bed. No window in the bedroom. Decent location based on the activities we did. Not sure we would stay here again.
I visited my daughter who lives in a tiny place so the place was conveniently located and big enough to be together. I was able to prepare and host dinner for 4 then, one night my girlfriend, from another part of the state, stayed with me and then my daughter stayed with me the following night. This gave us ample room for a cozy comfortable visit. The view of the lake was stunning. The location and seperate entrance was both private and safe feeling. I would recommend it for others who visit our girl while she is living there. Very happy
The suite was cute. Full kitchen, nice view of the lake. Big bathroom and closet. Coffee pods and creamer were a nice touch. A few things that might keep us from booking again - The step up to the bed in the bedroom was unexpected. The lack of an air conditioning vent in the bedroom was unexpected. A fan helped but was not ideal. The Wi-Fi was very bad so I would not recommend trying to work remotely if staying here.
The place was clean, comfortable and peaceful. The setting was amazing. Right on the lake. It was so fun watching the wildlife and boaters all with Nashville as the backdrop.
I woukd definitely recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay. It was very quiet and private, and being by the lake was amazing. The house was stocked with everything we could possibly need. We plan to return soon!
Unfortunately our stay was tainted by the recommendation by the host of the kayak rental “company”. We rented a single inflatable kayak from this guy for the weekend who’s caller ID came up as Ashley’s (the host). Long story short, the kayak was damaged and couldn’t keep air in the water. He came by the next day to drop off a new one and that one couldn’t even keep air from the walk from house to the lake. Then of course no response from him. Faulty equipment and NOT a way to run a “business”. Total waste of $200 and clearly got ripped off by this guy AND Ashley since they were clearly affiliated by having the same caller ID/phone number.
The Wi-Fi and TV service in the house only worked right half the time and we found a few large spiders in the bedroom so it clearly needed a spray.
Pros, the property was right on the lake and had a gorgeous view from the kitchen window and from the outside seated area. We loved fishing off the dock and just relaxing there. The Keurig was a nice plus.
If you like water sports I recommend not going through them and checking your own inflatable rentals or just buying them from academy sports store down the street, you’ll save money.
The area is very quiet and peaceful and the view of the lake is picturesque. The home is very nicely updated and unexpectedly stocked with everything non food that you would need if you were at home. I had a wonderful time.
If you are wanting a relaxing vacation this not the house to consider.
The view of the lake is only from the kitchen window.. the only window in the house, it was like living in a cave! There are french doors that look onto the driveway and the neighbors houses, no screens so doors have to be closed. Bring your own lawn chairs as the couch is as hard as a rock, the kind you find in a Dr’s office! Bring your own BBQ as well as decent plates, 5 were available and 3 of them were chipped! Hardly any utensils, no sharp knives etc… what a huge disappointment!!! So much for having a relaxing vacation!
This a gem of a rental. Don’t worry about it being a downstairs rental you would never know. The outside was peaceful and relaxing looking out at the lake. Lots of deer at night. You are near nature and 5 minutes later you can go for dinner. Best of both worlds
