For under 40 a night, i have no complaints. The necessary living items were provided, bed, refrigerator, heater and air conditioner. No big deal, i had to walk to the bath house. No need for extravagance when all you do is dig in the dirt!
I was hesitant to stay here because of the reviews. As a woman in her 40's who travels alone, I like to be cautious. Ultimately though, my sole purpose for going to Murfreesboro was to spend a few days digging in the park. This site is right down the road and the price was right.Although dated, the cabin was clean. The bathroom was also dated, but also very clean. As far as other complaints in reviews about mold, Arkansas gets very hot and humid. Fighting mold is always going to be an ongoing battle in a campground setting there. Yes, there are people who live there in trailers. Yes, there are some older cars there. The residents all seemed very nice though. There were a few dogs that barked from time to time. But it wasn't excessive. If you're looking for luxury accomodations, expecting the atmosphere of a hotel, or searching for Instagram perfection, this isn't for you. If you're looking for a place to stay so you can spend time in the park and doing other outdoors things, this is perfect for you.

I was in town for two days and this was the perfect place to stop and enjoy the area. RIGHT down the road from the diamond mine. Definitely walkable to the diamond search area.

We never even opened the door. We pulled up and the property looked disgusting and not at all what was listed. So we drove on by and found some where else to stay.

It was exactly what I expected just a small cabin in a campground absolutely better then sleeping in a tent. And was very close to the diamond mine. People in the town was so nice make for a wonderful experience.

Great price! Better than a tent! Not that bad!
It's like camping. It's definitely better than a tent. The other reviews, people were mentioning how it smelled like mildew in the cabin, but it's not the cabin that stinks, it's the air conditioner. While we were there, it was cool at night, so we didn't need the air conditioner, i also brought a small fan. You will also need a power strip with extra plug-ins, probably wouldn't hurt to bring a broom. showers were a little moldy in some areas, but I packed some bleach cleaner, sprayed it and the floor. I still wore flip flops in the shower. It made the whole bathroom smell better. Idk, I didn't think it was that bad. It was me, my granddaughter and my dog. the the whole bathroom smell better.
It is very close to the diamond mine. No tv however...it is pretty cozy to lay your head. Sit on the swing and listening to the animals is so relaxing. The people there are very nice.
This place is horrible. Pictures don’t show the rest of the property. Entire property looks like a junkyard. Shower house and bathroom were disgusting. Nasty with mold and mildew everywhere. Old campers with green stuff growing on them everywhere. We walked in and saw it and just left to get a hotel room. I wouldn’t let my dog stay at this place.
We rented the cabin because it is right next to the Crater of Diamonds State Park. Just a small cabin with all you need for a quick Diamond digging excursion. Can’t beat the price. Bed was comfortable and you bring your own bedding. Bathroom and shower facilities were old but clean as was the cabin.

Cabin stay
Overall it was a pleasant experience. We never were contacted or approached by anyone who managed the place. The grounds, especially the center pond area, needed mowing bad! Overall for the price it was perfectly fine.
Don't go into this place with glamping in mind. It's a simple campground with lots of peace and quiet. The cats are super friendly! The campground, for the most part, is well kept. Could use some sprucing up. The cabin we stayed in was quaint and did its purpose. The bathroom needs attention but it's clean.

Bad bathroom
Rustic as advertised which was fine. The bathrooms and showers were horrendous and completely unusable.
I was really looking forward to this stay and it was very disappointing. Bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Smells like mold. Flies all in cabin. So bad we went and bought fly strips. The door was taped top to bottom on inside and there was a 2 inch opening between door and frame. Lucky for us nothing crawled in.
Property was as listed in description I used this to have a weekend of fishing just for me and the property was big enough for me. The only thing was the AC unit needed to be a little larger as it was hot but the property cooled down at night
It was nothing as advertised. The showersand bathroom were nasty mold growing everywhere.not happy
Poor upkeep of property nothing like you advertised. Mold everywhere. Beds nasty also. Junk and trash piled everywhere. Never stay there again. My vacation wasn't enjoyable because of the nasty bathroom i had to use. The mold flared my allergies up. Just bad.
We did not stay here because the place looked horrible it was scary. People live in TV’s situated next to the cabin. I would have never reserved this property. I want my money back!
Booked for a fun place to stay while visiting Crater of Diamonds. When you pull up, it's like a junk yard full of run down campers, tarps, trash, and a murky puddle that may have been a water feature at one point. The cabins were run down with holes in the floor, cracks around door, taped electric wires, flies all around the place (can't necessarily be helped but in March, sort of speaks to the cleanliness of the place). The bathrooms were so filthy we wouldn't use them. We left. Look this up on goo gle earth or something so you can see what it looks like before going here - it's not the wrong place if it looks like a dirty yard.

Miners camp
No one in the office. Pushed a ring door bell someone came from across the highway. Just was told key was in the cabin and that it was unlocked. Didn’t see a sole the whole weekend. We were left to find for ourselves. I cleaned the ac filter it was yucky and it worked better. The mattress was awful. Beds need replaced. We did enjoy the stay. It was within yards of the crater. Not sure if I will stay again.
