About this property

Simplicity. Nature. Peace. Explore. -Enjoy a Nourish Farm Stay!

During our growing season, April -October, seasonal organic vegetables, freshly picked flowers all grown here on our farm awaits and welcomes you in your suite that overlooks the farm, forests and mountains for your enjoyment! Wake up to an amazing view and sip a cup of coffee and relax on your deck. For your convenience, we will also have our farm stand open Monday- Friday between April and October to purchase more if you have a bigger appetite for more veggies!:) Although we can only provide seasonally grown veggies and flowers between April- October we welcome everyone to getaway and come enjoy crisp fresh air, peace and relaxation that our farm provides year round along with the ability to explore all the local attractions.

We have two new self contained awesome suites at our working farm, Nourish Farm! :) They are located on the top of our new barn, each offering an amazing view of the mountains and overlooking all the growing fields of vegetables and flowers in our growing season. Relax in our Easterly suite and unwind in your comfortable queen bed, snuggled up while enjoying the view from your large window looking out at the forest and mountains. You may just end the night tucked in a warm blanket outside on your large deck staring at the stars eventually leading to a well deserved restful night's sleep.

Each suite is cleaned and bedding is washed with eco-friendly products ensuring you a healthy stay and aligning with the values of our organic farm. In the growing season you will feel the growing energy of food all around you, experience the exceptional taste from the food picked right under your own eyes and cook a delightful meal in your fully equipped kitchen. Each suite is 455 square feet, offering an open floor plan which provides a wonderful space for a relaxed atmosphere during your enjoyable holiday. The queen size bed, live edge shelves and bathroom vanity are all made from old growth cedar logs left behind when this area was first logged during the early 1900's. We salvaged, milled and hand crafted these items here on the farm for your pleasure to enjoy during your stay.

Travelling together or want your own space? The suites are connected and share a stairway, however each are completely self contained and have their own patio set and BBQ. You can either enjoy a large deck (12x48') together or we can make it private with a privacy divider.

Disconnect and get away from all the hustle and bustle while immersing yourself in nature surrounded by young and old growth forests along with many rivers, lakes and great beaches. Enjoy all the great outdoor adventures like hiking, fishing, biking, caving, swimming, and local parks or take a stroll on the beach. Tucked away from city roads yet only a few minutes' drive to sandy beaches or 8 minutes to town, this is an idyllic hideaway making it easy for exploring the beauty of all the attractions in Qualicum Beach and around central Vancouver Island.

We take pride in being a friendly and hard working farm, and you will be right in the midst of it all, you can sit on your deck overlooking the vegetable fields. We are thrilled and proud to have built our new farm stay accommodation suites with our own hands and some help and knowledge from amazing friends! We look forward to helping you have an awesome vacation!

Wonderful Escape!

Truly amazing stay. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. The property is perfect: extremely clean, well appointed and well designed. Several fresh organic vegetables and eggs were provided which was a lovely unexpected treat. The property is located in a lovely area: the country atmosphere is extremely relaxing and calm. The flower borders along the driveway look beautiful as you drive in. Can’t say enough good things! Perfect place to stay and hope to be back very soon!

Nourishing for the soul

My husband and I were looking for an escape from our city life and were sure found it. Cindy and Lorne have established such an amazing farm with fresh produce and eggs. We were able to enjoy the beauty of their property from our deck and enjoyed feeding the chickens. The room was so tastefully designed and cozy. A real 10/10, there is so much to do around Qualicum. We will definitely be back.

Million dollar view!

Brand new studio apartment. Everything that you need to stay for a week or more. Good advice in the guest book on the table, which we used to buy fresh fish at the French Creek marina and then grilled on the barbeque. Very comfortable bed and very quiet a night for sleeping. Plenty of parking for cars on site. Good location for a one day trip to Long Beach and Tofino and great area of beach nearby at Quallicum,. Tourist areas of Coombs and Cathederal grove are very close. Everything in the unit is up to date, great shower in the bathroom and everything you need in the kitchen.

Tranquil getaway

Lorne and Cindy are the perfect hosts. They accommodated our late arrival and early departure with driving directions and a sunflower bouquet on our car door. The unit was immaculate, well equipped with a wonderful mattress and duvet and a kitchen with all amenities. A big deck overlooks their organic farm and distant mountains, and has a bbq and seating area to enjoy the outdoors. We have rented units all over the world and this one is top notch.

About the host

Host profile image
We weren't always farmers, in fact we were completely the opposite as we knew nothing about growing food. All we did know was that we bought an amazing piece of property and we were determined to make it shine not only in our eyes but to everyone who visits. We planted a vegetable garden the first year we bought our land which was once just a stump farm. We were so excited to see everything grow and amazed by how flavorful it tasted and 10 years later we still share that excitement.
Growing our own food opened our eyes to so many more things, the most important one being our health. We both grew up eating processed food, everything seemed to be in a box or a can and we didn't take the time to understand or value what we put in our bodies. Now the choice is easy for us, we understand and feel the health that is in the food we grow and we love being able to offer that to our friends, family and community.

Living in such a beautiful place, surrounded by trees and mountains made us realize how grateful we are. Our vows to each other were that our life together would have the same seasons and needs as this magical land. There would be growth like spring and loss like fall, there is giving as the blossoming flower and rest as the seed beneath the snow. Now we eat healthy, live right, laugh lots and care deeply for the life we have together and nurture it with the utmost love and respect.

As we continue on our path to share the food we grow we want to now share the bigger picture and allow people to see why we choose to live where we do surrounded by so many amazing places and why we love doing what we are doing. We decided to hang up our farm hats temporarily and become builders in early and late 2018 when our farm did not demand so much of our attention. After some serious determination and fishing withdrawals in our slower seasons, we worked hard to take on the task to build our new barn which has two amazing rental suites above.

Why they chose this property

This property was just a stump farm that we used to walk our dogs on before it came up for sale, it was definitely a place you needed to have a vision for and we are so grateful we did!
