Everything about this house was perfect! Easy access for my mother-in-law who use a walker 100% of the time. Location was easy to find. The size was perfect. Thank you for a lovely stay in your extremely friendly city!
4 adults, including my 98 yr old mother. stayed at the cottage 4 days while attending another relatives BD party. 3 guests were in different stages of mobility challenges. Inside was perfect. Rooms were large, doors were workable but beds were high. Although listed as available we didn't find any extra linens of any kind, only 1 towel per person and when asked no more were produced.(I did purchase new towels but took them home.)
The cottage is beautifully restored and has quite a history ,Sidney shared with us on his visit to bring the missing hair dryer. Furniture is adequate mostly but sparse(had to use DR chairs in bedrooms.) Internet was chancy and never got 1 TV to work. The outside ramp into the back door was much needed but was very steep and some of my family needed help to use it both up and down.
All in all the cottage was an interesting and comfortable choice, with time should become even better. The off street parking. although tight was adequate.
Thank you Sidney

Perfectly adequate
This house is located in a very central area, we had no problems getting to a variety of destinations. Definitely a rental only space, the master room didn’t have a dresser, just a place to hang some close and a desk. We had to buy TP, dish soap and sponges, paper towels, and laundry soap. They left us 8 bath towels for a week with 8 people and no where to hang them up, so we had to wash them frequently. At least the humidity was moderate. We donated it all to a homeless shelter on our way out of town. Definitely needed extra blankets.
But it was clean and let us have a common space to hang out in, so it was perfectly adequate.
This house was spacious but sparsely appointed. It worked well for us since we didn't cook while we were there. The showers were a little tricky - standing shower was very small and tub/shower had a shower curtain that was too short and blew in on the bather. Beds were comfortable but had very soft/well used mattresses. Overall a decent house with about a 10-15 minute drive to the quarter.
We enjoyed our visit to NOLA! This rental is right next to the but route which can get you everywhere you want to go! Sidney was very responsive but we didn’t have any issues while we were there.
Sidney was still have trouble with his property with effects from the hurricane. He went above and beyond in helping us relocate to a house close by before we arrived. We had a great experience.
We came to New Orleans to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday. We arrived earlier than check in time but our hosts were kind enough to allow us to check in early. The house was beautiful. It was clean and nicely decorated. My Mother wanted to stay indefinitely!! The neighborhood was quiet and we were very comfortable staying here. The home is really close to the French Quarters where my daughters spent most of their time. Vaughn came over and introduced himself and gifted us with a bottle of wine. That was a kind gesture. I definitely recommend this property to future guests! You won’t be disappointed!
I am a New Orleans resident and 1st time VRBO user who was renting this property for visiting relatives Wednesday to Monday. We were met, coincidentally because we were arriving just after dark, by the owner as he came by to turn on the exterior lighting for our late check-in. He was gracious and informative of the particulars of the property. All the rooms were clean, well appointed, and accurate to the pictures in the listing. The schematic added to the listing was essential info too in that a "4th bedroom", with queen bed, exists but is accessed only through one of the other bedrooms. Probably would be perfect for an accompaning child, an estranged couple, extra space, or whatever one might envision. Bedrooms were large and the open space common area was very comfortable. Very easy access to Interstate, Fairgrounds, City Park, and short drive or inexpensive Lyft ride to the French Quarter and other NOLA attractions. My guests LOVED the property and suggested only a few improvements that may have enhanced their stay:
-A hook in the bathrooms
-ceiling fans
-kitchen towels
-more bath towels and/or a washer dryer
-extra sheets
Those minor issues notwithstanding, I would definitely look to reserve this property again under similar circumstances.
This was a very nice house. Very roomy and clean. The owners made sure that we were able to get in ok and were responsive to issues. It made our New Orleans trip easy and comfortable.
We enjoyed this rental and it was a quick Lyft ride to the French Quarter. The only drawbacks were that it’s not equipped for a lot of cooking (but I suppose most people eat out in Nola) and it was it was pretty chilly in the house (but it was also abnormally cold during our stay). The accessibility was nice for our needs with a wheelchair, but there are no grab bars in the master bath, which would also help with accessibility. Overall it’s a beautiful, well-kept home in a convenient location with friendly folks to oversee your stay.
