It was so peaceful and so quiet it was a nice place to kick back and relax I enjoy the whole week. It was a perfect location. I could do it again thank you.
We loved our stay, so relaxing, beautiful stream in front, lots of property to wander and semi-private. Cabin was updated beautifully. There were some gaps in the entry doors, and the combo lock system getting in was a bit tricky, but we figured it out. Comfy furniture & bed, lovely bathroom. Can't wait to come back.
Nicely furnished, roomy cabin. Great for a quiet weekend away with spouse or partner! Or best friend :) Lovely property with room to explore. Walking path directly across the lane from the cabin that takes you to a magnificent view of the river. Cabin is well insulated - we were there in winter and only needed the one gas-log fireplace in the kitchen to heat the entire cabin! Bed was very comfortable, towels were thick and fluffy, lots of blankets and pillows are available, lots of seating and lighting in the living room. Would love to return during summer or fall in order to enjoy the outdoor seating areas. We enjoyed our stay very much and felt like we were away from everything, even though we were still close to many things.
We had a great long weekend here away from the city! Beautiful scenery and good location between York and Lancaster.

Mixed feelings
My partner and I came for a romantic weekend hoping for a quiet getaway. The cabin was lovely and peaceful, but there are some notable issues. Cons:- Communication with the host is terrible. We did not receive checkin information and had to reach out to VRBO support to get the code to the lockbox. Unsure why the host was unwilling to respond.- Several small issues with the cabin. For example, no shades/curtains on any windows or doors and the gas system is incredibly loud at night. Earplugs and facemask are a must if you want to sleep.-listing isn't super accurate. There is only one bed/bedroom, not sure why it lists 3 beds. Laundry is listed as an amenity but the host tells you not to use it. -They charge a cleaning fee but expect you to sweep the cabin and more when leaving, ridiculous.Pros:- Lovely quiet property. The babbling stream is a delight and we did get the quiet getaway we were looking for. - Fireplaces do a great job heating the place and bringing a cozy vibe- comfy bed, nice bathroom, good amenities.
The location was excellent for my husband and I with our two dogs.. there are awesome trails across the street with beautiful views. Great dead end road that is super quiet. Adorable creek for pups to swim after a long hike.
The cabin itself wasn’t the cleanest (we saw some mice droppings which isn’t a shock in a rural setting but worth noting). Other than that it was nice and warm with gas fireplaces and very dog friendly with bowls for pups and a casual vibe.
Some things advertised on the Vrbo listing were not as expected. There was no laundry, soap or shampoo for shower and we had to ask for more TP. Not the most hospitable host but the location made up for it.
We loved this cabin and its location in the woods. We had a couple of issues, one being the cleanliness of the cabin, I cleaned the kitchen floor and the screened porches so we were able to enjoy them. Also has an issue with the TV remotes. Other than those two issues we loved the cabin and we would probably rent this cabin again.

I cannot seem to add photos but have manyso look for them online in my other reviews which I will title the same.
this was a lovely, charmingly quirky cabin - by a gurgling stream and in a quiet wooded area - near the Susquehanna for those who desire boating, as well as the hiking in the area.
Loved this cabin! We went to Gettysburg and visited all the Amish attractions during the day but loved having a firepit to sit by at night. Having tea in the screenporch listening to the sounds of the brook in the morning was awesome!
This was a great location for touring the surrounding areas. The home was set up so well for spending time on the go AND at home. We enjoyed the brook and screened in porches! Such a perfect spot for our long weekend getaway! We WILL be back!
A 30th wedding anniversary getaway ruined. The cabin was infested with ants, especially the bedroom (hundreds of ants on the bed, the bedframe, bed linens, and mattress. We notified the host immediately and sent videos showing the severity. The host provided two options: we could check out or she could "try" and get a cleaning person to come out and clean the bedroom. Knowing the cabin needed more than a "cleaning" we opted to check out immediately. It's been two months and we have yet to receive the full refund. We've contacted Vrbo numerous times and they said it was the Host who needed to refund the remainder of the funds.
Have spoken with the Host numerous times and she said it was Vrbo's responsibility to refund us. At this point, we have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau making them aware of our situation. To say the least, I am very disappointed and frustrated.

Not what I expected.
My husband and I were excited when we booked this cabin. We stayed at many cabins in Hocking Hills, Ohio and loved it. We thought what a great idea to take our dog, meet our cousins in town and relax. Most of the cabin was clean and neat. The outside screen in porch smelled like smoke. The ashtray were emptied but not cleaned, you can smell the stale smoke. The porches were covered with debris, because of a storm the night before we came, and the internet was out. There were lots of spider webs on the furniture, so we could not sit outside on the porches without getting bitten by something. When we got there, we found out that they had a septic tank, and we could not use the washer, if we had known that we would not have stayed there. When I spoke to the owner about the internet, she said that storms were beyond her control, which is totally understandable, but she should have had someone go out there the day we arrived and clean off the porches and spray for bugs, so we can at least enjoy sitting outside on the porches. When I message her about getting some compensation because we did not get what we paid for, she came back and said that the cabin is meant to be a place to get away for that type of atmosphere (without internet), and that the internet being out was an inconvenience for everyone in the neighborhood, my husband and I still work on vacation for our jobs. The neighbors did not pay for our cabin. we are disappointed, the owner should of reach out to us.
Everything was as described. Enough room for 3 people to comfortably stay. Would recommend to anyone who needed a quiet place to stay either close to the river or near Lancaster. Just be aware of the steps if you are unsteady on your feet. Other than this i highly recommend stay here.
thank you for offering this sweet cabin and also, for allowing dogs.
our time there was perfect...
we went to Sight and Sound, and the next day back to Lancaster for a buggy ride. Not a bad drive, at all.
this place is blessed, serene and lovely.
got to visit with a neighbor walking her dog, nice and quiet...
we hope to return again.

This was our third stay at this delightful cabin, and the first in the spring. It is a family favorite and we will certainly be coming back. Enjoyed the hiking trails and nearby Lancaster county attractions, as well as charming local businesses.
This is the second time we spend a long winter weekend in this cabin and it’s our favorite winter getaway. Enjoy the hiking trail right across the street, proximity to historic and cultural sites. Beautiful place in a beautiful area.

Why they chose this property
This quaint boating community is one of the few navigable areas along the Susquehanna River. We purchased this secluded cabin because of its central location; only 35 minutes from Hershey, 20 minutes from Lancaster & York and less then an hour from Baltimore, with all the conveniences of shopping, dining and entertainment.
