Homeport is a comfortable, inviting, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, centrally air conditioned home located on a quiet street within a short walk to town. Upon entering the home you are greeted by a large living room with a queen sleeper sofa, and a kitchen that opens onto the back deck and screen porch. Just down the hall you will find one bedroom with a queen size bed, second bedroom with 2 twin beds, and a full bath. The nice size yard is the perfect spot for spending a little time outdoors, but if you may need to work while on vacation this home offers high speed internet for your convenience.
Please bring your own lines ( 2 Queen, 2 Twin), towels and washcloths. This home has a NO SMOKING and a NO PETS policy. We ask that you leave the home in a neat and tidy condition.

Weekend getaway

Overall, the stay was good. The house is a outdated but in good condition, like walking into your grandma's house. On the surface, the home was clean but could use a good deep cleaning. Plenty of space, quiet street, close to everything.

family beach trip

We took a short trip to Chincoteague to watch the rocket launch and go to the beach. The house was extremely clean, probably the cleanest rental we've stayed in. We didn't have any problems, about a half mile to town/restaurants, and 15 minutes to the beach. Didn't have a problem with the mosquitos really this time, but put on lots of bug spray for outdoor activity's. There was a fun puzzle we did. There's also a playstation with lots of games, books, videos, and vhs's, The washer and dryer were good for our family.

Comfortable and Roomy

Everything about the house was great. We got there and it was nice and clean. In the pictures we were worried that it would be a little small for our group but when we got there it was far more spacious than we expected. Overall it’s a great place to stay if your looking for some time away from home.

Beautiful cozy house

We enjoyed spending the week at the house. It had everything we could need for on a vacation. Location was great, quiet neighborhood, but short walk from Main Street

Homeport stay

Cleanliness and location was good and overall we enjoyed our stay at Homeport. The only complaint we had was the queen bed mattress had a lot to be desired as far as comfort.

Worth the extra money

Visiting the area for many years we have always stayed further away at much cheaper places, however, tired of the drive to the beach each day, the lack of cleanliness, and the lack of kitchen items, this year we decided to pay more to avoid the above issues. It was worth the money! The house was very clean, a big difference from past places outside of the town, the kitchen was well stocked, and Property Manager very responsive. Although it seems normal post Covid that linens are not supplied, as we were flying in from across the country, we were accommodated for linens which was the only way we could do it. Only two very minor suggestions, that may be related to our family, a longer outside hose to wash off sand from beach items (it was very short meaning water collected right at the house and there were mosquitos. As well as a clothesline to help dry things each day, (as washing beach towels, etc. and drying each night is not necessary until you leave. Again, specific to our family. It was a very nice place and I will pay the extra money again as going "back to our cheaper options" is not worth the cost savings.

Amazing

Much bigger than expected. Full kitchen and double vanity sinks in the bathroom. I honestly expected less. The pictures do not so this place justice.

Wonderful weekend getaway

This house perfectly fit our needs. It was just the right size for our group of 4. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. We enjoyed the screened in porch, dish tv(especially the kid channels for the little one), the full size appliances, and the beach themed decor. I would definitely stay again.

So nice

Nice little home in a quiet neighborhood. Everything we needed was there. Loved the screened in back porch. Had some difficulty figuring out TV but called property manager and she was most helpful and followed up to make sure all was well.

Idyllic!

The pictures of this property did not do it justice. It was perfect! A real home away from home. Super clean, carpets seemed new, stocked with DVDs, PlayStation, sound system. We loved the beach-themed knick knacks in every room. This was one of the nicest places we have stayed at on vacation. Highly recommend!!

Dream Vacation

I have wanted to visit Chincoteague since I was a little girl. Everything about our trip was perfect! The rental house was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was quite and peaceful. Everyone we met were so friendly and helpful. Our first night we drove out to Assateague and saw the ponies grazing on the marsh at sunset. Absolutely took my breath away. We are hoping to come back in April, will definitely stay here again! Thank you so much for everything!

Great Property!

Very clean! Outdoor shower was so nice after the beach! The house satisfied all of our needs for our 4 day stay. Bring bug spray all over the island! You cannot escape the mosquitos but you can try to deter them from yoy.

Nice house to stay

furnishings and kitchen items more than adequate. Only complaint is the internet/wifi is terrible about 2 mbs. I was there for work and it was vary painful

Great house good location...one glaring issue

Came with my family for 3 nights. My wife and 2 kids. Plenty of room for 4. You can definitely sleep 6 no problem but with only 1 bathroom I wouldn't recommend more than 4 (there is an outside shower). Plush carpet and plenty of space. Kitchen is great. Bedrooms are nice size and living room is very nice. Master BR bed isn't all that comfy. Definitely could use a new mattress. Outside area is nice with a deck and screened in sunroom but you really can't spend much time outside this house because of the mosquitoes. It's really bad in that particular area it seems. Once you get about 500 yards from the house it seemed fine. The area though was very quiet and relaxing. The major issue with this house is the internet. Good grief I felt like I was in a time machine taking me back to 1998. It was actually a verizon DSL connection. One step above dialup. Not really acceptable in 2020. I know there are plenty of high speed internet options on the island because I googled it. If you want to be completely disconnected then this is the perfect house for you but if you need to do any kind of working vacation or want to online game or use streaming services on devices you can forget that. Even checking email was slow. It's not the wifi either. I plugged an ethernet cable directly into the router and tested the speeds. It was less than 1MB. Everything else about the house was an "A" but the internet is a giant "F-" and I likely wouldn't stay there again for this reason unless it was upgraded to a high speed connection.
