About this property

Tranquil, well-equipped Cottage in historic '1066 Country'.

Honeysuckle cottage has been converted from one of Park Farm's original dairy buildings and spans two floors connected with a spiral staircase. Its stable-door entrance accesses a fully equipped sit-down kitchen and comfortable sitting room with fire place and full central heating. Both bedrooms (ground-floor double bedroom and first-floor twin bedroom) are ensuite and there's an adjacent coin-operated laundry for the convenience of our guests. Outside there's a private patio with lampost illumination and from the first floor bedroom window our donkeys and shetland ponies can be seen grazing in the nearby paddock. Park Farm is the ideal base to either unwind alongside the natural world or explore the many historical castles, country houses and formal gardens that '1066 Country' has to offer. Nearby coastal towns and beaches include Hastings, Bexhill, Eastbourne, Rye and Camber and London culture and sightseeing is easily accessible from nearby Crowhurst and Battle rail stations

Holiday at park farm crowhurst

We were very pleased with the stay everything was as advertised clean and tidy very tranquil setting owner and everyone else was very friendly nothing to much trouble would go again and recommend it big thank you to everyone.

Honeysuckle Cottage

A clean, comfortable, well equipped cottage. The owner was there to welcome us and show us round. He also explained the upgrades that are about to take place. The cottage is at the end of a long lane so very quiet. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed sitting on the sunny patio.

Peaceful and quiet

Es war ein sehr erholsamer Urlaub im Honeysuckle Cottage. Mr Edwards ist ein überaus freundlicher Vermieter. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet, v. a. die Terrasse und das Turmzimmer mit Bad für die Kinder haben uns gefallen. Die Lage ist mitten in der Natur und absolut ruhig. Im nächsten Ort gibt es ausgezeichnete Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und in der Nähe schöne Ausflugsziele und Strände. Wir würden hier wieder Urlaub machen.

Sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man es ruhiger mag

Wir haben die 14 Tage sehr genossen. Das Cottage liegt zwar etwas einsam und für Einkäufe benötigt man ein Auto, dafür ist belohnt es durch viel Ruhe und einer sehr guten Ausstattung. Einzige Verbesserung wäre tatsächlich WLAN bzw. Internet. Der Eigentümer, Mr. Edwards, ist ein sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Mann, dem man anmerkt, dass er für seine Gäste das Beste bieten möchte. Trotz aller Hilfsbereitschaft hält er sich aber dezent im Hintergrund, steht bei Fragen aber stets zur Verfügung. Wir haben uns bei ihm sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Für alle, die sich gern selbst versorgen und eine tolle "Basis" für die vielen Möglichkeiten in Sussex suchen - und da gibt es viele - ist die Park Farm sehr zu empfehlen!

Honeysuckle cottage

If you want "quiet", this is where you'll find it. We stayed in the Honeysuckle cottage, a cosy 2 bedroomed cottage sleeping 4. The cottage is well equipped and the beds very comfortable. There is a large private verandah leading from the lounge with 2 folding deck chairs, and 4 smaller chairs with a round table. One can braai (barbeque) there, but you need to buy a grill, which you can get at Tescos (massive shop about 5km away with everything you need, and Petrol station) The only noise you'll hear at Park farm, are the cooing of doves, clipity clop of horses hooves from time to time, and Jessica the donkey at feed time. Both the Edward's brothers were very polite and helpful. If you're interested in history, 2nd World War etc, Mr Edwards senior, is the one to chat to..... when he has time👆. There is a Pub within walking distance, leading you over the meadows, takes about 35 to 40 mins. All in all, Park farm is a super place to stay, the only set back is the very narrow road (2km) long leading to the farm, just drive cautiously and slowly, everything should be ok. For those of you who want to visit London, there is a direct train from Bexhill, takes 90mins. Cheapest way is to buy a travel card for off peak times, costs around £25.00/person, you can use all busses, trams, subways trains in and around London for 1 day. Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey) which we visited is about a 2hr drive, as is Duxford War Museum, so possible in 1 day. Have fun👍 Christopher Williamson & family - Germany.

Tolles Cottage in ruhiger Lage

Das Cottage liegt absolut ländlich, fast einsam, ist aber daher auch absolut ruhig und erholsam! Perfekt eingerichtet und gemütlich. Wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt. Der Vermieter Ist angenehm zurückhaltend aber dennoch sehr aufmerksam, hilfsbereit und freundlich! Empfehlenswert!!!

Liebevoll eingerichtetes Cottage

Sehr schönes Cottage, liebevolle Details, viel Platz, sehr sauber, schöne Umgebung. Sehr abgelegen. ca 20 Minuten bis zum Einkaufen, Strand 30 Minuten. Die letzten 2 km sind sehr eng zum Auto fahren. Wer Ruhe liebt, ist hier richtig.

Abgelegen, aber guter Ausgangspunkt für Erkundungen.

Gute und ordentliche Unterkunft. Die Lage ist abgelegen und ruhig. Supermarkt und kulturelles Leben ist mit dem Auto in 5 - 10 Minuten erreichbar. Der Vermieter, Herr Edwards ist sehr höflich und hält sich zurück. Wenn Fragen zur Unterkunft und Reisezielen bestehen, ist er immer sofort Erreichbar gewesen und hat kompetente Hinweise gegeben. In der näheren Umgebung ist ein Reitstall, in dem Reitstunden und Ausflüge zu Pferd angeboten werden. Auch hier waren die Menschen sehr freundlich.

excellent cottage

Très agréable , très bien équipé et très confortable : le charme anglais très "cosy". Le gite est en parfait état et très bien tenu. Au calme dans un cadre très agréable et avec un accueil et une attention de la part des propriétaires tout à fait excellents. Très bien situé, proche des stations balnéaires comme Hasting et Brighton... A 1 heure 30 de Londres en voiture. Nous avons visité pleins de chateaux, de très belles abbayes. Pas de déception, la description et les photos sur le site Abritel correspondaient à ce que nous avons trouvés. A recommander pour nos amis pour des prochaines vacances....

Ruhig gelegenes Cottage

Wir wurden von dem freundlichen Vermieter Mr. Edwards empfangen und haben die Woche in dem Cottage sehr genossen. Es ist alles da, was man braucht, auch sehr geräumig und mit zwei Bädern praktisch. Das Wetter war sehr gut und so werden wir uns noch lange an die schöne Zeit dort erinnern.

Tengo que decir que estoy impresionado por el lugar, las condiciones y el trato de los dueños. Los dueños fueron muy amables a pesar de que nosotros llegamos mucho más tarde de lo acordado por un problema de obras en las carreteras, nos estuvieron esperando hasta tarde y cuando llegamos ninguna mala cara, todo muy bien, el lugar limpio, todo según el anuncio. Recomiendo el lugar 100% sin duda. Muchos lugares de interes en los alrededores.

Schöne, ruhige Unterkunft mit toller Umgebung

Wer Ruhe sucht wird sie hier finden. Wirklich schönes, mit allem nötigen ausgestattetes Cottage mit herrlicher Umgebung. Die Küste und andere Städte sind nah so dass man von hier aus gut Ausflüge starten kann. Man hat hier die Gelegenheit sich dann davon auszuruhen und zu entspannen. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer ansprechbar, hält sich aber sonst sehr zurück. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können dieses Cottage ohne Wenn und Aber nur empfehlen.

A fine place to discover the region

A great cottage, very nice and quiet, and a warm welcome from the owner. We really enjoyed our stay at Honeysuckle cottage, deep in the beautiful English countryside, and it was a good place to visit the region, from Rye and Hastings to the white cliffs of Beachy Head. We do recommend it.
