Lovely two bedroom cottage in a peaceful location in the village of Portesham close to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site with fine beaches and spectacular views from coastal footpaths. Walks in the rolling Dorset countryside. Sandy beach at the popular resort of Weymouth 7 miles. Dorchester, Bridport and Lyme Regis, with shops, markets and other attractions also easily accessible. Pub with food within walking distance. Sailing, windsurfing, horse riding, golf all available nearby.
Ground Floor: Living room, dining room/kitchen. sun room, Cloakroom with toilet.
First floor: 2 bedrooms, one with king size (5ft) double, one with twin beds (2ft6in). Bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and wash basin.

Cosy and pretty cottage’s near the attractions- Durdle door- Corfe Castle- Weymouth- Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens ( amazing place), Dorchester. We had a great time so my little dog .

Great Location
Very clean property in excellent location. Fresh, comfortable bedding and towels, great WiFi and the Alexa device was a nice touch. Very pretty village with a good local pub and farm shop/café. We would give 5* on everything but the garden wasn't suitable for dogs as its virtually impossible to keep them off the neighbours' property as there is no fence between the two gardens. The lady next door to that runs a feral cat sanctuary in her garden. She has at least 8 that roam freely. This is just something to bear in mind as otherwise it is a great base to explore Dorset.

Peaceful location in lovely village
Lots of places to visit close at hand. Nice garden but no boundary with next door, a disadvantage with a dog. Poor shower, needs either stronger pressure or a better shower head. Bedrooms nice and beds comfortable. Downstairs could be brightened up. Expensive for what you get.

The property was spotlessly clean with every comfort considered. Easy walk to The Kings Arms and the Farm shop. Such a pretty village which so close to the coast. Highly recommended.

Lovely cottage in pretty quiet village. Recommend the local pub. Sunday roast excellent. Unfortunately, not suitable for disabled or elderly dogs as need to go up steep steps to access the garden

Gemütliches Cottage
Das von außen unscheinbare Cottage ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und liegt sehr ruhig. Es gibt keinen direkten Parkplatz, aber auch keine Parkplatzprobleme in näherer Umgebung (ein paar Schritte die Straße runter). Der zugehörige Garten ist wunderschön. Sollte es einmal windig sein, kann man sich gemütlich im kleinen Wintergarten aufhalten. Für längere Aufenthalte sind alle notwendigen Hilfsmittel vorhanden: Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine, Staubsauger, Bügeleisen... Alles in allem perfekt.

We really enjoyed our stay at jurassic cottage, it had everything we needed and was in a great location. Jacky was helpful and responsive to any questions. The only slight issue was parking but other than it was great.

Lovely cottage in portesham a bit remote no parking overall very good av recommended to our friends
Very good we a small leak in twin room it had rained all day and gutters were blocked I rang jack and her husband and a builder came round straight away and fixed the next day parking is a real problem one day I had to park half a mile away

Portesham May 2021
We enjoyed our stay at Jurassic Cottage. It was very clean and tidy when we arrived and felt welcoming. Due its location, there are few places to leave the car after unloading and we feel this could have been made clearer in the website details. The cottage sleeps up to 4 people but the plates and bowls were different sizes. We had one issue with the property during our stay and contacted the owner who responded quickly and helped us fix the issue. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the cottage.

Ideal base for exploring the lovely area.
The property contained everything that you needed. Clean cozy and very comfortable beds. Great location in a lovely village. Great walks in the area and a good pub and farm shop a short distance away

Perfect Location
Great Cottage in superb location in Dorset. Village has farm shop, cafe and family Pub with large Garden. Used all 3 recommended. Cottage was perfect for family of 2 adults 2 kids.

A pleasant break
Overall we were pleased with the cottage. However the kettle desperately needs descaling. We found the double bed uncomfortable resulting in using the spare bedroom. And the bathroom in our View needs a facelift. That said we enjoyed our holiday.

It is a home from home! The cottage is well equipped and the location is central to all the attract.
The description of the property is accurate and the only draw back is that the garden is not really easy access and next doors garden is only define by a path! We cannot let our dog in the garden without supervision!

Lovely cottage, convenient location
We enjoyed staying at this cottage. It had everything we needed for a week stay. Great location, lovely quiet street, walking distance to pub and farm shop with great cafe. Parking was helpfully marked out on a map so it was easier to see where it was most suitable to park. Whilst we knew the garden was accessible only by steps we didn’t realise it was so detached from the house so we couldn’t have the young children play there on their own. Jacky responded quickly to any issues we had during the week and resolved them for us. Overall we had a lovely week.

Quaint cottage in a beautiful village
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. The owner left us tea, cookies & milk which were well appreciated after our journey, and the folder was really helpful telling us about the local amenities and best beaches to explore. The only slight negative was there was dog hair on the sofas/rug, but I do understand it is dog friendly accommodation and that this is not completely avoidable.
