Comfy and cozy

The view is awesome. You can see mountains valleys and Sugar Mt ski slop. Planning on renting again from Vacasa but next time I want to be beside the slope....come on February.

Wonderful view

The “decor” and appliances could be updated but that didn’t keep us from LOVING the condo. The wall of windows and view were beyond words. We will definitely stay there again.

Clean and fantastic view condo

It was clean condo, but needs some renovation. (Sofa in living room is scratched on the side by a dog, I think) Management sent us the wrong door code, so please check it before you come here- it should be 4 digits. Also, Google map gives the wrong directions for the last 0.5 mile. To reach the location, you need to take a right at the fork on Shelter Rock circle and continue to Skyleaf Dr. If you see a gate with code lock-go back about 0.25 mile Overall, it was a nice stay. A clean condo with a beautiful view from the balcony.

Great place to stay!

The view was phenomenal! Facilities were dated but that wasn’t an issue! Would definitely stay here again!

Worn out and dated

Property is in poor condition. The only positives were the view and the fireplace Everything is very dated. Furniture is worn out. Sofa sleeper is terrible with a bar in your back the entire night. Carpet in both bathrooms…gross. We put towels down. Owner needs to seriously update all flooring, furniture, hvac etc. Do not recommend this place.

Bad Experience

The condo is very dated, more so than the pictures make it seem. This is acceptable except that some things don't work, such as the entry light dial switch that had fallen off and multiple of the room heaters didn't work. We got to the condo late after a cold and rainy hike and were ready for a nice warm shower, but when we went to take a shower there was no hot water. And being 45 degrees outside, the water was extremely cold. I found the breaker panel and noticed that a breaker labelled WH was OFF, so I flipped it to ON. This had not tripped off, but was fully in the OFF position intentionally. So we waited another 30 minutes and were both able to take lukewarm shower. That was the biggest issue while we were there (other than the group of people above us who stayed up drinking and dancing all night except about 3 hours from 3:30am-6:30am. (Not Vacasa’s issue). But as we were leaving we realized that we both had multiple (10+) bug bites. I can only assume that these must be from bed bugs since it was too cold for mosquitos and I did not notice any mosquitos anyway, and the bites are in groups like bed bugs are known to do. I looked at the bed sheets to look for bed bugs and didn't see any since they are small and hide well, but did see evidence of them being there (tiny blood marks along the ridges of the bed sheets and mattress). Hopefully the bed bugs only did their damage at the condo and did not follow us back to our house on clothes/etc. Would not recommend.

Ok

This place had a wonderful view and I always had a phone signal. I didn’t love my stay here however. It is very outdated with stains on the chairs, stains on the walls, dust and cobwebs on much of the walls and wall hangings. There was a lot of noise from the upstairs unit on the weekends. The bathrooms were clean and the kitchen was stocked fairly well with utensils and such, which is nice when you’re there for an extended stay. Having a washer and dryer in the unit is also a nice plus.

Amazing trip

The location of the property is excellent. It has a breadth taking view of the mountains from the balcony. All the conveniences and sight seeing places, trails, Blue Ridge mountain parkway are very close by. The unit needed to be thoroughly cleaned especially carpets and sofas. The utensils (pots and pans) needs to be replaced as they were very dirty and scratched. The main lock needs to be replaced as we could not lock it from inside. This was reported but was not taken care of until we left. These are small things but the location is so superb that we overlooked all other things.

Over priced

The extra fees on top of the price should be stop . This property did not have batteries in the bedroom remote . It kept making a scary sound through out the night coming from the walls and it’s overprice and dated.

A lovely stay, a comfortable place

The apartment was exactly what it looks like in the pictures. The view is gorgeous and even though the furnishings are old, we knew that in advance and were comfortable. The only reason that I am not giving 5 stars is because there was no firewood to start a fire. We got in very late and had been looking forwards to a cozy evening by the fireplace and were very disappointed to find not a single piece of wood inside or outside. We feel that Vacasa should make that clear as the pictures clearly indicate the presence of firewood. We would definitely come again though.

Sky leaf Villa #801

View and location were second to none. General condition of property was poor, out-dated, and in disrepair. A/V equipment was strewn about with wires haphazardly draped on walls, counters, etc. Property needs a facelift to put it nicely. With some much-needed TLC, this property has the potential to be a slam dunk.

Not following Covid-19 precautions, and other safety concerns

Walking up to the door I was struck by the great views, so the first thing I looked at when I walked in was the sliding glass door to the balcony. It was covered in child size handprints and foggy smears of who knows what. If you have kids, you know what this looks like, but you also know how gross it is. It usually involves child drool. It is unsanitary that this wasn’t cleaned, especially during a pandemic. My kids found 2 pills on the floor in their room! Most likely ibuprofen that had been dropped but it shows the floor had not been vacuumed or inspected. I’m thankful they are old enough to know not to touch things like that. In the bedroom with twin beds there is a sign that says do not put anything up against the baseboard heater, yet we noticed the bed was pushed right up against it. The headboard has a burn mark on it from this! We opted not to use the heat in that room because the placement of the bed did not feel safe. The pictures make this place look a lot nicer than it is. The beds were comfortable though. Clean linens and the kitchen and bathrooms seemed clean.

Nice place!

Pros: Easy to access, beautiful views, well appointed, comfortable beds, no weird smells. Cons: Dirty. Dust so thick on the bookshelf I could draw in it. Very moldy shower curtain liner. Obvious leak in shower ceiling/wall. Very old, matted and stained carpet. A little TLC would go a long way.

Good place to stay

This place has a great view! There were some safety issues here, though: in the parking lot, there is a big drop off Between the parking space block and unit that is totally invisible at night. Backing up and then getting out to unpack is extremely dangerous. The shower hand rail in the first bathroom was not at all secured. My husband took it upon himself to secure it. And the toilet seat in that bathroom was askewed. The towel rack fell off the wall and my husband secured it also. If these things were addressed, we may recommend this place for others to stay.

Germy green carpet abound

Been in many ski resorts and condos, only this one HAD NO CABLE TV! The Kitchen utensils were few and damaged.Cannot cook with Teflon scratched frying pans. The front door lock does not work unless it is locked. Only a small breeze will force the door to open without assistance.

Average spot

This little condo was the perfect size for our little family and had beautiful views. The listing says they provide everything you need, but if you are staying more than one night I would recommend bringing your own shower supplies. Our biggest issue we had was that there was a little piece of raw chicken in the kitchen sink when we arrived, so we had to dispose of this and clean the sink thoroughly before using. Also if you want to make coffee, bring your own filters! Overall, I have definitely stayed at nicer places with more amenities, but this place was cozy enough for us for the weekend.
