We was not sure where to stay but we found this cabin to be the best spot. It was so beautiful and close by everything. Perfect place for piece and quit the owner was so nice to deal with. It’s a must stay at!
Our goal in renting the cabin was to avoid staying in a typical hotel room...the cabin met that need. It was located about a 10 minute drive to the downtown area, so the location was good. We were never given any info on where to take our trash, the wifi password, and I had to call the owner to ask how we get in the cabin the day of our arrival. The communication could have been better. However, I do understand that we came right at Christmas which can be a busy time of year for anyone. The living room area was set up odd such that you had to watch the TV looking towards the kitchen (side view and not straight ahead). Not a deal breaker, but just a bit odd in my opinion. Bedrooms did not have a closet. The shower had a lot of mold in it. This could be easily resolved with bathroom cleaner with bleach. I actually considered buying some and cleaning it myself. The owner was nice and even provided a tabletop Christmas tree since we stayed during Christmas. Overall the cabin was nice.
Enjoyed our stay immensely! The cabin is so beautiful and clean! Nicely equipped with kitchen accessories, linens. Just the right distance for easy travel into Asheville or the surrounding areas for all your adventures. Owner was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Definitely would book again!
Cottage was great and very clean. Only complaints would be Fitted sheets wouldn’t stay on bed in one bedroom. Elastic on fitted sheet wouldn’t hold sheet on. Also, we were a little surprised at the location. We didn’t expect the cottage to be in a neighborhood. The picture makes you think it is more secluded. Would definitely rent again.
Located in a neighborhood in the mountains, close to all the main sites and attractions. Clean and cozy. The loft was great for our kids since we brought a couple of cots. We stayed for 10 days and had something to do everyday. Great spot.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was clean, comfortable, and it felt safe as well. I do wish there had been more toilet paper. It was a precarious situation in the middle of the night to learn that there wasn’t enough. Other than that, the owner was extremely nice and we enjoyed our visit to Asheville very much.
The cabin was perfectly clean and modern but cozy - everything you need. Located in a residential area but within 15 minutes of everything you want to do in Asheville. Perfect getaway location.
This cozy cabin was perfect for our family of 4 to get a way for the weekend. It was super clean which I greatly appreciated! It had everything we needed. I spoke with Mr. Ingle just before checking in. He's a really nice man. If we are in the Asheville area again we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Does Not Disappoint
Positives: Furnishings are upscale compared to many VRBOs I have stayed in. Also, It was really appreciated that pets are NOT allowed to include crated animals. Our family has pet dander issues and finding this place is truly “NO PETS” was awesome! The owner also bought a toaster for us upon request, another awesome! Negatives: Trying to locate WiFi password with elderly eyes was challenging. This can be easily remedied with a sign on the bar. Another challenge was trying to figure out the luxury 3 head shower. I LOVED the shower but it was really problematic trying to figure out to pull out knobs. This is easily remedied with a sign by the shower. Finally, the following has a caveat...communication regarding check in/out was not good. HOWEVER (caveat) we were told that the owner was sick with Covid during our stay so I am going to assume that communication would have been stellar had illness not been an issue. FINALLY, thank you for a great place!
My fiancé and I rented this home for a long weekend getaway and it was perfect! Check in was easy and the place was very clean upon arrival. We loved the woodwork on the walls and ceiling and the bathroom was beautiful! The location is about 15 minutes from downtown Asheville and about an hour to DuPont Recreational Forrest, which has great trails for hiking. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely rent again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Burt’s Cozy Cabin. It was immaculate upon entrance and everything appeared to be new. Despite the very noisy frogs at night, once you stepped into the cabin all was silent—it was amazing! The cabin is well stocked with dishes, glasses, utensils etc. Communication with the owner was helpful and prompt. Our only difficulty was with Google Maps. Google maps had the cabin listed At the opposite end of the road the cabin sits on. It was after dark when we “arrived” and the numbers on surrounding houses were not even close. Bewildered we called the owner ( it was after 10 pm) who kindly directed us to continue down the road to find the cabin. He also kindly encouraged us to call him again if we had any further problems in spite of the late hour. We reported the error to Google Maps and they approved changing the cabin ‘s location on their map. Hopefully this will help future tenants. We liked the location of the cabin. It was easy and quick to slip into Asheville or travel on further to Cherokee for the day. While not remote, it was set nicely in a mountainside neighborhood, which we enjoyed. Overall we loved staying in “Burt’s Cabin” and highly recommend this property to future travelers.
According to Goggle.
The cabin was clean and perfect for a family! Great location for getting to all of our activities The owner was extremely helpful getting us there late and in the dark.
Cute & well maintained cabin. Perfect for a weekend visit with our adult son. The one downside is the kitchen lacked any staples (only salt and pepper) not even coffee.
We enjoyed our visit to the cabin. It is a beautiful house. Very, very clean. We got to meet Mr. Ingle and he is a delight. It was close to the family we were visiting in Asheville but also gave a time to enjoy the country side of Asheville with all the views and winding roads. We were also able to enjoy some snow which was a bonus!
