Such a great little gem in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The cottage had everything we needed for an extended weekend stay, with great proximity to all shops and restaurants. The hosts were super-friendly and very quick to respond to questions. I would highly recommend this property!
This little home was perfect for our visit to NOTL. Great location within walking distance of the main street; lovely neighbourhood; responsive communication with our hosts; charming, clean, and had everything we needed. After our busy days, it was a welcome and relaxing place to return to each evening.
Location was A++ and we walked to Main Street daily for the shops and stores.
Cottage was cozy as advertised with everything we needed for our stay.
Exterior front and back decks need some maintenance. Builder grade finishes but all in every way functional. Not a posh place but comfortable and clean in a really nice neighborhood and minutes walk from town.
Quaint well maintained property in quiet neighbourhood with easy access to all facilities offered by town. Excellent outdoor space for relaxing. Great stay.
Sweet William was the perfect place for a trip with my mother to NOTL. This cozy cottage had everything we needed. It is a short walk to town and out to view Ontario Lake. Communication with the hosts was effortless, and they ensured we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this little gem!
Sweet William house was a great property. Very clean. Great location- close to main drag- queen street. Outdoor space also very nice and private! Highly recommend!
The cottage is as described. The backyard is a nice oasis. The kitchen has everything you need-and then some-if you plan to cook. I appreciated the excellent communications from the property managers. It’s a 4 block easy walk to the start of town and a food market. Two blocks in the other direction is a bakery. There is easy access when you are driving out of town. There is a welcome book with many suggestions.
This little cottage was perfect in so many ways. The distance from downtown was very walkable & the neighborhood always felt safe to do so! It was spotless and so welcoming when we arrived, Pat was so friendly to work with, always responsive to questions and concerns. Thanks for the hospitality, our stay was so relaxing, we can't wait to return!

This house is a .5 mile walk to the main tourist district, which is good since parking is difficult. It is also near to some restaurants (including Tim Horton’s) and a small grocery store. The neighborhood is also a beautiful place to walk due to all the well maintained gardens.
My daughter and I stayed for the weekend. The cottage was within an easy and lovely walk to the main area. We just wanted to be together and play card games and explore. The house was perfect for that!
The location of this property was perfect for our weekend in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Walkable to everything on Queen Street as well as short walks to Pillar and Post and the Willow Cakes and Pastries cafe meant we often left the car at the house to enjoy a pleasant stroll. The house itself is perfect for a couple: cozy, with anything you might need in the well-appointed kitchen (even though we were out for most meals). The neighborhood is also quiet, making for a pleasant break from the hustle and bustle on Queen Street. We hope to return again one day to enjoy this spot again.
Great cottage for our time at the Shaw festival. 10 minute walk to the George, 20 to the Festival theatre, There was everything we needed to prepare meals. The little private patio was just right for eating outdoors. There is also great light coming into the living and dining rooms. Arrival is easy. Erica was very responsive both before and during our stay. Before we arrived, She kindly helped us with a something we needed during our stay. While we were there, the tub drain was a bit slow and she dealt with it right away. We had a wonderful restful week. The was our second stay at Sweet Williams cottage. We are Looking forward to our next.
My daughter and I had an enjoyable weekend at Sweet Williams Cottage. The place is not large, but suitable for two people. Is cozy and well appointed. The neighborhood is quiet and just a short walk to downtown. The cottage is clean and bright. I would only suggest a second lamp for the living room, as the one lamp does not provide enough light after dark.
Property was a little smaller than I anticipated from the photos but it was big enough for our needs while in town. Everything was cleaned well. The host was very accommodating with a very late checkin on our part. The only let down was the bed in the primary bedroom. My wife and I both had trouble getting good sleep due to the mattress.

Niagara-on-the-Lake is a destination of choice for me. There is something so special about this town - the wineries, world class Shaw theatre, restaurants, biking trails etc. It really doesn't matter what season you visit because there is always something to do. I love the ice wine festival in January, and the Peach festival every August. Christmas is wonderful in this town with many festive events such as The Holiday House & The Christmas Carol playing at Shaw Festival.
Why they chose this property
Niagara-on-the-Lake or NOTL is a charming, picturesque and quaint town. It has world-class wineries, restaurants, shopping and theatre. This cottage captured my heart and the superb location could not be matched. Walking the tree-lined streets in summer & winter was magical.
What makes this property unique
You will enjoy being able to walk everywhere. The private backyard, the tall majestic trees and the history of the home makes this place so special. Our home is built on a former Vineyard with vines still growing today. Guests have told me they " loved being so close to town" & "wonderful place for our girls' weekend" & "loved this cottage. A lovely place with a big heart."
