Everything was great and as advertised. Communication with the owner was excellent. Would highly recommend this property to anyone staying at Ke Nani Kai!! As a bonus we saw whales jumping in the ocean while having dinner on the lanai.....awesome
The property suited our needs very well. It was very clean, beds were comfy, plenty of towels in bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the pans/utensils we needed. The pool and hot tub were nice for afternoon relaxation. Nice grill near the pool. The lanai was spacious and comfortable for relaxing, dining and enjoying the view. Wifi was good. The owner, Vicki, had great ideas for what to do while on the island. Would definitely stay here again!
Lovely stay on the west side. Quiet and away from town. Close to beautiful west side beaches, some in walking distance. Spectacular sunsets and star viewing from
Perfect location and perfectly comfortable the night before we raced the M2O Paddleboard race across Kaiwi Channel. Would recommend to anyone looking for a spacious quite place to hang the day/night before the big race.
Beautiful property walking distance to the beach. The condo was clean with ample supples. My toddler loved playing in the pool and my husband served up tasty local venison and beef burgers from the poolside grill. Would love to stay here again on our next visit to Molokai!
The condo was roomy and well equipped. Being on the corner we had 180 degree view of trees and water. We even saw whales from the lanai! We will be coming back to stay again! Mahalo!
We have stayed at several places on Molokai, and this is - by far- our favorite! Vicki was super responsive to any questions, etc., the location was PERFECT! We could see both the sunrise and sunset, it was so peaceful: no looking out at neighbors on their lanai, just the gorgeous west Molokai vistas . . . and peacock babies! We can't wait to go back next yea!
Deb was so great with communication and always responded to any question we had. The guys did not leave her home as clean as we had hoped, but she let us know right away what her issues were and we worked together to solve the post check out cleanings. Deb was so gracious and wonderful as a host!
Vickie was easy to communicate with and more an anxious to please. With all new furniture and a wrap around terrace it shows well. As a new owner she is planning on new carpets and a new stove to make the place sing! Very nice, quiet, friendly community with excellent pool area and movies on Sunday night. It’s just a short walk to three of the most beautiful beaches on the planet. If you are looking for No crowds and No traffic you will love Molokai. Thanks Vickie!
Vicky was easy to communicate with, and very responsive.
We arrived and got into the unit with these.
Unit is clean and up-to-date.
It was upstairs, and in unit which means the ceilings are high in spacious, and we didn’t have to worry about noise or anything coming from above us.
Awesome ocean views with terrific sunsets. With the deer
Sunrises with the turkeys.
The pool is great in the hot tub was hot!
Can’t wait to return
The west end of Molokai is absolutely beautiful, with uncrowded beaches (like often deserted), and scrub forests bordering oceanside bluffs and cliffs. The Ke Nani Kai condo development is moderate in size, has a friendly atmosphere, is well run, has beautiful grounds and landscaping, and has a wonderful large pool and deck. Though not oceanfront, it is just a pleasant 5 minute walk down to the beach. Vicki's condo is a corner unit with a very private wrap-around lanai that has a wonderful view of the ocean and wildlands. From inside there is a 180 degree view through the glass sliders. The decor is vintage Hawaiian with a newly remodeled kitchen with high end appliances (quietest dishwasher ever!). Very comfortable beds, check-in was easy, and the owner was very responsive.
This end unit, upper condo is very private. The place could have been a little cleaner. Especially under beds or furniture. However, with all the red dirt and past travelers not removing shoes, I can understand how dirty the unit can get. Always remove shoes! The TV is going out. Not a big deal for us. Lastly, the unit is a dated. The kitchen has been updated and the flooring. However, I give this place 5 stars overall and I am to stay here again in the future.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at Ke Nani Kai.
The condo was private and quiet as listed.
The ocean breeze was wonderful as it flowed through the house. The kitchen was remodeled. New Insignia tv. Comfortable couch. The beds were fairly comfortable- softer than we preferred but adequate for the stay. We had a nice ocean view from the lanai and watched the sunsets paint the sky in the evening.
The grounds at Ke Nani Kai were well maintained. We watched turkeys and peacocks and their pea-chicks wander across the lawns. Myna birds, finches, cardinals and crested cardinals could be spotted here and there and often perched on the lanai’s railing.
Not much had changed on Molokai since our first visit in 2018. We were delighted with that. A bit more traffic and a few more visitors.
The nearby beaches were still beautiful and virtually empty of people. My husband just loved soaking in the beauty and the sounds of the ocean.
Vicki was absolutely amazing! Check-in and access was straightforward. She answered my questions promptly and handled a small maintenance issue immediately.
We would definitely stay here again!
Nice two bedroom condo on the second floor with a nice view.
The property is quiet as most of Molokai is. Wildlife viewing right off the lanai. Star gazing was fantastic when weather allowed.
The property owner as well as the cleaning person were fantastic.
We always enjoy our stays at Ke Nani Kai. This unit was nice and peaceful. Unfortunately we did not receive our unit number in the email that provided the lockbox code.
The floor was really dusty but other than that, no complaints about this unit!
The condo was an upper corner unit with beautiful view and a great breeze. There was plenty of room for our family of four. Host was extremely accommodating. Great place.

About the host
Hosted by Vicki Trevino
Once a military brat and now a military veteran, I moved a lot, but have set up roots in Northern California for the past 30+ years. I have family history on the USS Arizona, but had never made it over to Molokai until about 13 years ago.
Why they chose this property
I have been coming to Moloka'i for the past 13 years after I literally closed my eyes and pointed to a spot on the map. I fell in love about 10 minutes after arriving! I absolutely love the peace and quiet of this island and finally decided to invest in my own little piece of heaven. This isn't just a rental property, it's my home away from home. I love looking out to the ocean while I'm in the kitchen cleaning up or cooking, and listening to the deer and ocean at night, and the birds in the morning. To me, there is no better way to relax!
What makes this property unique
You can do as much or as little as you want! Beaches, diving (best reef in Hawaii!), snorkeling, whale watching, fishing, hiking, take the mule ride or fly in for the Kalaupapa tour (don't miss it!)--sadly this is currently closed due to COVID. Take a guided hike to Halawa falls--great learning experience! Late night hot bread from the bakery, Saturday market, canoe races, hula, sugar mill, coffee plantation, Kumu farms, Purdy's macadamia nut farm (crack a few open and try some, and learn how they are grown/roasted), and so much more to explore!
