About this property

Cozy studio cabin close to Lake Michigan.


This is a open studio cabin, 1 queen size bed, 1 full bathroom also has a full kitchen, air conditioning, furnace, outdoor fire ring, free wifi and cable TV all for you to use. We are on a busy state highway so traffic noise can be load during the day. However as the sun goes down so does the noise. We have installed double pane windows, constructed a private fence all to help with traffic noise.
We are just about 10 minutes away if you ever need anything.
We hope you appreciate our cabin location beyond being so close to Frankfort/Lake Michigan, Crystal Lake, rails/trails bike path, Crystal Mnt, you could also take advantage of the Little River Casino 30 miles away, Sleeping Bear Dunes only 26 miles away, and Traverse City is 36 miles away. There is world class golf, fishing, hunting, sightseeing, fall colors, kayaking, canoeing, skiing, snowboarding all near by. Our area was voted number 1 place to visit by US News and world report.

Perfect Getaway!

Loved our stay at this charming cottage! It had everything we needed including peace and quiet. Cottage was very clean and decorated so nice. Also there's a nice outdoor grill and a place for an evening campfire. Cottage is just a few miles from several small towns and also close to a biking/hiking trail. We brought our bikes with us and had some really nice rides. Would definitely stay here again.

Cute little place

Over all a great place. Only downfall is the road noise. We spent a lot more time there than planned due to the weather. Just miles away from a beautiful beach and great little towns.

Love the upgrades that were done over the year. Perfect location to all the places we go every year. Only downfall is the traffic noise but we knew that already. Weather was beautiful so we were not there much. Great communication

Perfect Getaway Cabin

We loved our stay in this peaceful, quiet and lovely cabin. Hosts were very pleasant and made us feel very welcome. Location is close to Frankfort, Beulah and Benzonia and we visited, shopped and dined at all 3. We also brought our bikes and rode them on the nearby bike trail. Cabin decor was very cute and cabin had everything we needed. Loved our stay and would definitely consider staying here again.

It was vey comfortable and cozy. It had just the right amount of space for my husband and I. It is close to the boat launch where we were able to launch each day we were there and go fishing. The only thing we thought that may have been a bit more accommodating was a bit larger refrigerator. It was a great stay!

Sister Vacay

This was the first time my sister and I took a sister vacation. Super cute place and Lesa and Randy were awesome. Especially when we locked ourselves out…lol All the little ant hills freaked us out a bit, but other than that we had an amazing time and will most definitely be back!!! 😊

Very close to Frankfort

The cottage is rustic but very clean . We knew this from the listing . We wanted the “up north “ feel . The road is a bit noisy during the day , but that was also stated in the listing . We were gone most of the day anyway . Owners were very attentive . It worked fine for us .

Really enjoyed Carol's Cabin. Quietly tucked away. Very clean and reasonable price. Comfy bed. Much more offerred than a hotel. We were at a local wkd event at Frankfort. 7min away. Good communication. Perfect for 2 people. Kitchen has everything. Breakfast coffee teas provided. Bathroom well stocked. Its on a highway, but felt hidden and noise was not an issue. Will return! Model experience! Perfect.

This is our second time at Carol’s Cabin … we appreciate the attention to cleanliness , the breakfast extras -and that everything -cable, internet , shower works well . We will be back again next summer !

Wedding weekend

This studio cabin was the perfect place for us this weekend, as we attended a wedding at the Cherry Barn. Lesa left breakfast sandwiches for us, along with granola bars, juice, etc. which was a nice touch. We would stay here again.

This was a very nice cabin and the owner provided complimentary snacks which was a nice touch. We didnt realize the exact location of the cabin until we were provided further details upon confirmation of our reservation from the owner.

Absolutely Perfect

We stayed here with our 3 year old son for 2 nights and it couldn’t have worked out better. We hiked in sleeping bear (30 min away). You must go to Frankfort to watch the sunset and walk to the lighthouse! The bed was comfortable and we appreciated all the little extra touches. We would definitely stay here again!

Cozy, comfortable cabin

Perfect for our visit with family near Frankfort -we were really just there to sleep and shower -( comfy bed and good shower ..) -this cabin is bigger than it looks in the photos and was VERY clean .A/C worked well and everything was just as described . One rarely finds coffee, oatmeal, breakfast sandwiches , juice provided by hosts .. a little extra touch that , as others have mentioned -is just really nice! Lesa and Randy are very friendly and responsive with communication - We have already reserved for next year again !
