We enjoyed a two family friends-giving. There were 8 of us and there was plenty of room, beds, supplies, and space. It was nice to have three bathrooms and for the teens to have their own space downstairs. The hot tub was awesome! We loved waking up to the beautiful mountain views. The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed for a big holiday feast. Just a note for those shopping ahead of time, they have a traditional coffee maker, not a Keurig and if you plan on cooking a lot, you may want to bring some Tupperware or Ziplocs. Downtown Blowing Rock was only a few minutes away. Great experience!
Pros
Gorgeous views

Plenty of space for everyone
All the essentials
Cons
Long, bumpy dirt road
Have to dispose of your own trash
We loved our stay! A great location with such a nice, well equipped cabin and a big yard loved by kids and adults. A perfect place for our family vacation! We would love to stay again.
The cabin is so close to being great, but had many draw backs.
First and foremost, cleanliness was lacking to say the least. There was sticky residue on the dining table, bugs everywhere, and debris left under the sofas from previous renters I assume.
The bedrooms were fine. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable, and two of the bedrooms upstairs had no storage to unpack into, and maybe 10 hangers in each closet.
We did use the grill that we had to clean quite a bit before actually using it.
The cabin has good bones, but it needs some higher quality cleaning as well as furnishings/appliances in general.
The landscape also needs to be trimmed back as all of our cars were continuously scratched when entering and leaving the driveway.
We wouldn’t stay again unfortunately.
My friends and I loved staying in the Three Bears Cabin to celebrate my husband's 40th bday! It was clean, organized, and had everything we needed for a great stay! 5 mins from Blowing Rock, NC, and convenient to many places to eat and drink.
We enjoyed our 4th with the Family of 9, had plenty of room.
the weather a little rainy but the cabin was comfortable an cozy. The cabin was well appointed and clean, the microwave broke and the road to the cabin was rocky and steep but it was a great place to stay.
Stayed here with 2 other couples and our kids. Great space, loved that it had a fenced in yard for the kids to play in and a downstairs bunk room and game room.
Wendy was very responsive to all of our questions.
If you plan to do much cooking here you’ll definitely want to bring your own Tupperware for leftover storage and possibly even your own sauté/frying pan (there were ample pans but not in the best condition, as is the case with most rental properties. The pots were all fine however.)
Would definitely stay here again!
Cabin was perfect size for our two families. Very clean and the kids loved having their own floor in the basement. Hot tub and fire pit were big hits as well.
We really enjoyed our stay as the property was in close proximity to Main St. The kids really enjoyed the foosball table as well as the hot tub! There was plenty of yard for them to play in and most mornings, we were able to wake up and see deer roaming around the property. The beds were comfortable and cabin layout perfect for hanging out when we weren’t out exploring all Blowing Rock had to offer. We did use the firepit to make smores with the kids and we all enjoyed it! Only complaint is…we didn’t stay long enough!
The cabin was very spacious. We housed 9 people (4 adults, 1 teen, 3 kids and a small child). We never felt cramped. The cabin provided the basics and we were able to pull off Thanksgiving dinner away from home with no problems.
The kids loved the foosball table and fenced yard area. The hot tub was also great. The kids stayed downstairs which was a bit cooler than the rest of the cabin. There were lot of extra blankets and they didn't seem to mind.
The cabin is located 1.5 miles down a narrow dirt road right out of Blowing Rock. It was a little nerve wracking for us Floridians, but we managed.
The cabin is a great location for what the local area has to offer. It was about 15 minutes to Boone and 30 minutes to Grandfather Mountain. We didn't see any bears but we did see deer on our first day there.
We really enjoyed this beautiful property! The hot tub and Foosball was great! The WiFi was disappointing. The accommodations were good, lots of room. Tweetsie Railroad was just minutes away, so we enjoyed a day there, as well. We made smores one night by the fire pit. Make sure you bring your own coffee maker if you love coffee like we do. :) We definitely want to come back!
We had seven grown men who met for our yearly get together/ golf trip there. Everyone got their own bed, with the exception of brothers that shared the King. We did not use the top bunk, as it was clearly a kids bunk bed, but all the beds were very comfortable. Because one used the downstairs sleeper/sofa, we only used the upstairs to watch tv/gather. It was plenty of room and very comfortable. The view was great, and it was not difficult to get to the cabin at all. Would definitely stay again!
This property was amazing! We were looking for a property in Blowing Rock and I was a little hesitant because this isn't technically Blowing Rock but it was perfect! It's the best of both worlds, secluded but yet only 2 miles from Downtown Blowing Rock! The house had a big dining room table which was great for our family of 6 and the kitchen was well equipped. The downstairs is great for the kids to play and watch TV but while we were there they didn't sleep down there because it did get a little cold. Our visit included a winter storm which really made our vacation amazing considering we are from Florida! The kids loved the yard and did some sledding. Thank you for opening your house to us!
We had a great time at this house, which was actually much roomier than we were expecting! It was great location very close to downtown Blowing Rock. We loved having a fire pit in the back yard to hang out by at night! Would highly recommend!

Great long weekend with friends!
This home was perfect for our long weekend with friends. It was clean and more than enough space for the six of us to spread out. It's also within 10 minutes of several restaurants, bars, shopping, and 15 minutes to App Ski Mtn.
***Disclaimer for anyone booking-This home is literally on the side of the mountain down a narrow gravel road. 4x4 suggested.

Fun, relaxing, conveniently close
We had a fun extended weekend with our 2.5 year old grandson. Very nice cabin, close to town, but still secluded down a gravel road.
Child-friendly accommodations with a nice layout.
Great communication with the owner. We'll definitely return!

Beautiful, secluded property yet close by!
Three families enjoyed this beautiful home in seclusion, yet also close by to downtown Blowing Rock. Kids were all downstairs while adults enjoyed upstairs. There were plenty of kitchen necessities to make meals on site. We had some difficulty with bifold closet doors staying on hinges as well as standing water in the upstairs hallway tub/shower that was slow to drain during showers but other than those few issues everything else was great. On another note, the owners may want to install or provide a heater for the downstairs den area, it was never at a comfortable temperature and our kids didn't mind but other adults or teens may find it a bit chilly during winter months. It was a milder weekend while we were there reaching 30 degrees early morning and 50 degrees during the day.

Amazing property
This house was perfect for our skiing weekend. There was everything you could imagine or need at the house. Views, games, amenities, kitchenware, it was great! The location to downtown Blowing Rock was perfect and we could get to App Mountain in about 5 minutes, Sugar in about 40. I will say that 4WD is a plus to have when navigating the unpaved road to the house.
