We are French, living in California, and rent our property in Madagascar. We operate in harmony with the residents of Nosy Be and Nosy Komba. We care about the wellbeing of our staff and respect the Malagasy traditions. We share with you the local beauty of this site with a Westernized expectation.

The three lodges have contemporary, minimalist interiors that use luxury materials with responsible environmental design. The villas are all built from sustainable tropical wood, and the roofing is made from dry palm tree leaves.
This combines to provide a tropical experience while leaving a minimal footprint.

Such an amazing place to relax and enjoy a slice of paradise. The beach was perfect for relaxing and swimming, the accommodation was beautiful and the food delicious. The excursions were fantastic. The opportunity to go snorkeling with the turtles and fish, to see the Lemurs shouldn't be missed. What a place! Everything is set up perfectly and it is highly recommended for anyone and everyone.

Top Hideaway at Nosy Komba

The three houses are located above a small privat sand beach and have enough space to accomodate six adult easily. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated with absolute amazing views. The facilities are all working well. In the top house is the kitchen and a sleeping place for the manager/chef. Our Manager/Chef was the nice Valerie and she did a brillant job: Food was delicious, everything was always tidy and spotless. And she helped to organise trips to the lemurs on Nosy Komba or to the powdersand Island of Nosy Iranja. 100% Recommandation! We will come back for sure!

Paradise.

Honestly, no other word for this vacation other than paradise. You arrive by boat from Hellville directly to the private beach that the villas overlook. Sergio, the muscle man, takes our 30kg suitcases over his head and carries them up the stairs to our room. The master villa is beautiful, bathroom is spacious and clean, open-plan style shower and large sink, and a large mirror with great bright lighting. Mosquito nets over all the windows, doors, and of course the bed. Master bed was beautifully comfortable. Terrace was spacious with amazing loungers and views of the beach. The sun sets over the horizon. Further upstairs is the restaurant/ living area. Chef Jean Baptiste was the highlight of our entire stay in Madagascar. A kind, honest, humble man who is fantastic at his job. As a chef myself, all food was perfectly cooked, ingredient selection was perfect, presentation was beautiful. His service really made our stay feel 5*. Pricilla, the maid / housekeeper was also wonderful at tidying and refreshing our rooms every day, which further made the experience feel so luxury. Honestly, nothing but good reviews for this place. Everything was stunning, and clean, and homely. The views are just... speechless - and that beautiful starry night sky. I miss falling asleep to the sound of waves and crickets. You may also get visits from Lemurs in the trees above. Perfection. Thank you Dominque.

le paradis existe ici-bas

Nosy Komba demeure l'un des derniers endroits sur terre où la main de l'homme travaille en symbiose avec la nature dans un rôle d'interdépendance. La villa Maki Vari s'inscrit pleinement dans cette démarche .Construite en matériaux locaux, le ravinale, elle s'intègre dans son milieu avec un luxe jamais surfait et le confort moderne en pleine jungle. Nous avons néanmoins été surtout subjugués par l'équipe officiant en ces lieux pour la satisfaction des clients. Mario le chef cuisto transforme les spécialitès du terroir avec un talent qui n'a rien à envier à celui d'un chef étoilé. Prisca la gouvernante oeuvre en toute discrétion pour une propreté et un rangement impécables. Marlin et le capitaine ne sont jamais à court d'idées pour vous faire découvrir les richesses de ce paradis terrestre. Ces queques jours passés en leur compagnie resteront à jamais gravés dans notre mémoire comme une escapade magique en dehors du monde connu.

Very relaxing beach and garden property

Get away from it all (only accessible by boat, with your private captain), don’t worry about working (cook and femme de menage take care of everything including running errands), only need to decide what to do first: swimming , snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, scuba diving, nothing. Great communication with the hosts.

Paradise

We loved our stay here. This was our first stop on our 3.5 week of travel in Madagascar. The bar was set pretty high! We swam with whale sharks on our first day, the colour of the water cannot be put in words. The ocean here is by far the most beautiful we have ever seen. We were the first guest to stay at this private home so they do need to work out a few things, but besides that it s a fantastic place. Just some info you should know. The captain and boat is only accessible in the am. Because of the winds in the afternoon they will not take you anywhere and will want you back by 1:30 latest. Make sure to have a meal plan before you arrive so you can stop at the store and stock up on arrival (once you get to the house you cannot leave until the next morning). WE just finsihed traveling for 30 hours so we walked around the grocery store in a daze and were not sure what to buy. The driver did suggest we only needed to buy a few things and we could come back the next day, but honestly I wouldn’t want to waste my time going back and forth to Nosy Be, so stock up on arrival. The chef is fantastic, he will make you anything you ask for as long as he has the ingredients. This place is paradise.
