Much needed getaway

Road trip/getaway with friends to Yosemite to relax and take in nature's beauty. The house was perfect for our group with plenty of space, quiet, clean, and beautiful views of the forest. Hosts Laura and Robert were very accomodating and responsive to any questions and gave excellent recommendations for dinner in the area. We had a nice dinner at Savoury's in Mariposa. Yosemite was only an hour drive up Hwy 140, gorgeous views of the Merced river along the way, and the sights in Yosemite exceeded our expectations. Would stay here again in the future. questions

Awesome Mountain Chalet

Loved this place! Stayed here to be close to friends in the valley and Yosemite. It did not disappoint. Great view and super relaxing. Loved the wood stove to take the chill off cool mornings. Thank you!!

There are beautiful views to enjoy from this house. I love the amount of room and cleanliness of the house. A short drive to Mariposa where my niece owns a restaurant or Yosemite Valley. Look forward to staying there again.

Absolutely Wonderful! Plus a great view!

This place was a really lovely place to stay and the magnificent windows gave us such nice views to enjoy during breakfast! The cabin is so pretty, very comfortable, and the additional playground set in the backyard gave me some lovely memories with my niece and nephew. The hosts are very responsive and everything was very easy to figure out, thanks to their great help! I highly recommend this place and would definitely come here again!

Homebase for Yosemite

The cabin is located well for a visit to Yosemite. The home itself is basic. In fact, it's a bit of a missed opportunity to have a spectacular place. Although it's well equipped, it's furnished with old unmatched and cheap furniture. The bed was comfortable, but the bedding was cheap. The sofa is old, worn and uncomfortable. I was surprised when the footrest popped up and caught my leg. Artwork looked like garage sale items, and nothing matches. The view was very nice, and the deck was good place to sit and look around the landscape. Overall a mixed bag. I thought it was too expensive for the quality of the cabin and furnishings.

Wonderful home off the beaten path. We saw wild turkeys and there is an orange tree in the yard. Easy to get to Yosemite and just what we needed for our family of 6.

Great house, deck, view and location

We all really enjoyed our stay at the Mountain View Chalet. The house was clean and exactly as described. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. We loved the views from the deck and really enjoyed our morning coffee listening to the birds and enjoying the view. We saw deer the first night when we arrived but they didn't appear again. It was also very close to Yosemite as well as Visalia and Mariposa.

We booked Mountain View based on its proximity to Yosemite Valley, and it was a great choice. The house is well kept and well stocked with necessities; it felt more like a house than full-time rental. The check-in/out process was easy to understand and went smoothly.

For those travelling with adult children or couples this is good place to stay near YOSEMITE.

Saw mule deer, wild turkey with babies following it, and wild pheasants in the early morning on the property. Mariposa is not far for good restaurants. Comfortable.

Great getaway!

This was a lovely home with an enormous view over the mountains. Nice wood-burning stove with plenty of firewood, cozy sofas, great TV, and good proximity to Yosemite and to tasty restaurants in Mariposa. It would be a great family place.

Perfect place for family vacation

We had a great time in CA and renting this house added to our experience! Close to Yosemite and Mariposa -- all of our activities were within 40 minutes. Plus coming back to the house to fix dinners and relax on the porch -- wow!! We even had a corn hole tournament one night!! We traveled with our adult children (and girlfriends): we had plenty of space to spread out, to come together for meals, and to chill and take in the views! What a great place to make (and remember) family memories!!

Quiet getaway

The family and I made our first trip to California with the goal of spending time at Yosemite National Park and relaxing. The house was super isolated and quiet, which is perfect for what we were looking for after spending the days in the park. It was approximately one hour from the CA140 park entrance and an hour and change from the Mariposa Grove entrance, which may sound like a lot, but they were easy scenic drives. The house was very spacious, was on a large scenic lot, and had great amenities for our stay. If we ever headed back to this part of California, we would certainly try to stay here again.
