Hidden away but easy to get to. Clean, updated spaces, comfortable beds, small but efficient bathroom with good shower. We were 3 adults and it worked out well. Good communication with property manager.
What a find! We stayed at this cabin in between backpacking and hiking at Denali National Park. It was a great place and very beautiful. Lots of moose in the area!
WE enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The cabin is adorable and the views are fantastic.
It is close to the state park and all the activities in the area.
The owners are wonderful and helped us through a mishap we made on our trip.
Highly recommend this cute place! I plan to visit again on my next trip to this area!
We enjoyed our stay! There was a noise of something hitting the cabin from the outside, possibly in the fenced area between cabins. It was very loud and would hit the cabin when the wind blew and woke us up throughout the night. The other people also heard the noise. Otherwise the room was excellent!
Next time I book a place, I'll be sure to read what the place is equipped with. The cabin was very sparse in utensils, dishes, etc., instructions (heater) and it was really remote. It was clean, the bed was great. Did it somewhere say that one should bring all of your own equipment? Felt like an "unfinished" cabin/home away from home. Beautiful setting. Thank you.
Our stay was fine. I would recommend it for shorter stays because there is little relaxing space and little privacy with the open loft. A little difficult to find. Perhaps the owner could add turn onto Dalton Ridge, dirt road.
Very clean and well stocked with towels, soaps, pillows. Keuring with everything needed for a cup of coffee or tea. We didn't realize the windows didn't have black out shades. Comfortable beds and nicely decorated. Brochures on things to do in the area. Easy to find with the directions. We enjoyed staying there.
The property was very nice, the directions to get there were a little confusing but once there it’s a great property. The place was super clean and had new furniture.
A few things to note: the ladder getting up to the loft is extremely steep to climb up, there’s no lock on the bathroom door, and the only blinds are on the bottom two windows, not the top two, so if you’re visiting in the summer I would bring some eye masks or something to help sleep.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication, location
Comfortable property, poor communication with owner
We had a wonderful trip to Alaska and all property owners and places were responsive and helpful with responding to questions and being helpful. This is the only place that the owner didn’t respond to questions we had while there and unfortunately after we left we left some items and we didn’t get a response until reaching out to VRBO 12 days later and knew we’d never get our items. His reply was confusing and not helpful! No we didn’t get our items left.
Make sure you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle to navigate the driveway. No internet available. Not helpful while there. The loft was good for our younger son but challenging for adults to climb.
The location is beautiful. The cabin is immaculate and comfortable for 2. We enjoyed the isolation and solitude.
It faces the Alaskan Range and provides glimpses of the mountains through the tall trees in front of the cabin.
As others noted, it is essentially a hotel room. The bed is quite comfortable. There is a microwave, coffee maker, and fridge. Hot water is readily available from the taps and the wall heating unit kept night temps comfortable, when needed.
The road is listed on online maps as Canary Rd. (or use the mapping coordinates another reviewer posted) and we were readily able to find it. However, the angle of the road may make it more difficult to detect if you're not using a mapping app. The gravel road is quite steep, an AWD vehicle is strongly recommended.
It was very difficult to find the property. It was very nice, clean. It would be nice to have a little bit more seating, larger trash receptacles and a small dresser in the loft.
The scenery was great and the proximity to Denali was perfect. Remote and quiet, which was nice. Appreciated our time here.
Awesome location, highly recommended, great private location. Highly recommend staying here, beautiful views and the cabin is immaculate. Thanks again to Aaron who was super helpful with all my questions. If I make it back to the Denali area this is where I will stay.
PS: Go to Rose’s for breakfast!!!!! It’s incredible
We enjoyed our stay, but were surprised by a few things lacking that would have made it great. There is no table and very limited seating inside - with two beds, the place fits 4 adults, but only has a couch that fits 2. We ended up bringing the outside chairs in which solved the issue. There were only two small trash cans and no place to empty them, so after 4 days we ran out of room. Would have also appreciated some nondisposable cups, and paper towels, but the nearby grocery store had everything we needed. Overall, the cabin was very nice, but was missing a few key things that would have made it perfect.
Our stay at Alpenglow Ridge was nothing short of AMAZING! The views were incredible. Cabin was just as pictured, all the amenities needed, secluded but close to town and only a short drive to Denali National Park. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
This secluded gem is so precious and sweet. We relaxed and enjoyed one another. This cabin was the cherry on top. So we'll designed and quaint. We can't wait to come back 💚.
We loved this VRBO! The house was clean, cozy, and a perfect hub for our Denali explorations. The house doesn't have a kitchen, but it has all of the other basic necessities including coffee/tea for the morning. Also, the lofted bed is only accessible via a steep ladder so it may not be appropriate for all ages. We would stay here again if in the area.
Fireweed was a great place to stay!
Less than thirty minutes from Denali National Park. Coffee maker, coffee and tea all provided. Beautiful place. Maybe a sign closer to the road to indicate where to turn off of the highway. Thanks for a wonderful time.
Highly recommend staying here. The only things I would suggest is to make sure your car has four wheel drive (the road to the cabin is gravel and a little steep), have portable WiFi, and use these coordinates to find the driveway entry (63.9379624, -149.1098453)
Fireweed Cabin is new, clean, and and pleasant, but lacking in some key amenities.
We enjoyed our stay, but think that many people would want some more basic amenities. There was more sleeping capacity (4 in 2 beds) than seating capacity (one 2-3 person couch), no table/chairs, no plates or silverware. The ladder to the loft is right in the middle of the bottom floor, which cuts down on usable living space. The tap water tastes strongly of metal.
