Thanks VRBO for helping us to find an appointment. The check in process with Kati was perfect and she stayed in her office until 8pm on a Saturday night to make sure all guest are taking care off.

Deceptive Listing, Disgusting Conditions – Avoid at All Costs

This property is a complete scam and should be removed from every rental platform. I booked this dump based on a listing full of fantasy photos and flat-out lies—and what I got was closer to a condemned building than a vacation rental.The one-bedroom unit was advertised to sleep four. Reality? One bed and a broken, child-sized futon that wouldn’t support a house cat, let alone a human. The place looked nothing like the listing. It was so bad they actually moved us to a two-bedroom unit—which was also disgusting.Filth. Mold. Rust. Holes in the walls. Stained bedding. A broken elevator. There were items left behind by previous guests, grime caked into surfaces, and appliances that looked like they’d been fished out of a junkyard. And no—this wasn’t a cleaning oversight. It was decades of neglect disguised as “hospitality.”Even worse, once we pointed this out, the staff knew the listing was inaccurate. They moved us without question, which tells you everything. That’s not customer service—it’s damage control.After this mess, I checked the reviews and—surprise!—tons of guests have reported the same thing. This is a pattern of deception and the host has clearly been getting away with it for a long time.Oh, and I’ve only gotten a partial refund—despite immediately leaving this joke of a property due to the health hazard. It’s a bait and switch operation. Shame on the host, and shame on any platform that lets them continue renting.

Easy to find, an older unit. Quiet location. Would have helped if I would have read text message about arrival procedure. Few minor issue, reported to property manager, nothing major but will make stay a little better for future visitors.

Great location

Overall great apartment. Love that bike rentals are available on site. Awesome location with access to beach. Bit noisy at times and could hear through walls. Quite clean but appliances were dated. Quaint, clean and cute pool set up.

Terrible stay

The room was at an apartment complex not a resort. It was not like the picture at all. When we arrived there was no pull out bed, only a futon. We asked for a rollout bed. They gave us an old twin mattress that was dirty. We had only two bath towels. They did not have wash clothes or hand towels. No extra blankets or sheets. The microwave handle was broken. The dishwasher was pulled out from the counter. No view of the beach. When we looked out the balcony we faced the loading dock of The Ritz hotel. In the morning, very early the trucks would back up and you could hear the noise. Just horrible and not peaceful at all. We received a letter stating no noise after 10:00 PM. The first night there was so much noise after midnight that we could not sleep. People screaming, playing loud music, slamming doors. It was terrible. We had to walk to big metal door about a block away and use a key to get to the beach. Then walk through a tunnel to actually be on the beach. Our overall experience with this was awful. We will not be using it again! I would not recommend anyone to stay at this place.

The staff at this VRBO were awesome!!!! With that said, the pictures of the room, facility and beach are very misleading. The room and facility are very old and in need of massive renovations. Access to the beach was down a creepy little path. The beach itself was awful: tons of seaweed on the beach and in the water and it smelled horrible. Loved the staff but I cannot recommend this location.

Buyer Beware

We have always had such great experiences with VRBO that maybe we were due a poor experience. The place was very inferior to the pictures. We never felt safe with he surroundings inside the complex. We had to complain about a very noisy next door neighbor but the situation did not improve. Air conditioner was a problem as was the shower temperature. Floors were very dirty. I would not recommend this location.

Makeup trip for my Midwest Tour

The condo was very comfortable. We wish these things were supplied or told to us to bring: paper towel, dishrag, sink dishwashing soap, hand soap for kitchen and bathroom(COVID), Kleenex. When we walked to the beach, it was disappointing. There was so much seaweed and the ocean’s water was so dirty( none of this is the owner’s fault). We thought the walk to the beach with our chairs, umbrella, beach bag and towels would be too long. We read in the description that we would have beach/pool towels. We did not . The description says there is WIFI. It was very slow. The tv upstairs was not operable. My husband unplugged it. The pool was nice and relaxing. I met a nice woman there to talk to. The vegetation at the condo, down the street, at a park beach we went to and in the city of Key Biscayne. It’s beautiful. It’s rare to have palm trees on a beach. It was wonderful. It was nice to sit on our balcony, look down the street and be part of a neighborhood. I like South Beach in Miami but with the way the country is right now, we did not feel safe going to Miami. We had no idea Key Biscayne is so beautiful. Overall I would go back. I would take a few supplies with me.

Great place!

We will sure return for a longer stay! Stayed overnight while my kids played tennis in Crandon Park. Could not ask for more: friendly staff, clean unit and all-you-need property. Very well located and direct private access to the amazing key Biscayne beach. Two thumbs up!
