Superbe appartement, idéalement placé, mais... un sentiment d'annonce trompeuse.

C'est difficile de mettre une appréciation négative sur cette location, mais cependant je vais le faire avec les explications qui vont avec : Tout d'abord, l'appartement est superbe et idéalement placé. La maitresse de maison est sympathique également. Alors pourquoi cette appréciation ? tout simplement parce que l'annonce laisse penser que l'appartement est complétement libre, or il semble s'agir de "chambres d'hôtes" au final... Lorsque vous avez une annonce qui indique "Appartement, 3 chambres 2 salles de bains", cela ne ressemble pas a une annonce "chambre d’hôte uniquement". Que s'est il passé ? A l'arrivée, nous nous sommes demandé si nous pouvions utiliser le salon... Nous pensions louer un appartement, et en fait, nous n'avions que des chambres... La propriétaire a gentiment accepté, mais en notant toutefois que d'habitude, cela ne se faisait pas... Ensuite, nous avons eu la fille de la propriétaire qui était dans l'appartement en même temps que nous (elle était de passage), et du coup, cela a "cassé" l'ambiance. Si nous avions su que l'appartement n'était pas libre complétement, nous serions aller à l’hôtel où l'on ne se pose la question de savoir si on peut utiliser le salon le soir ou non. Bref, nous n'étions là que pour une seule nuit, ce n'est pas "si grave", mais nous n'avons pas mis de musique car la fille dormait... et cela nous a quelque peu gâcher la soirée. Le petit déjeuner inclus le lendemain matin (la propriétaire a un studio juste au dessus) et très correct également. Tout aurait été parfait si l'annonce ne nous avait pas laissée penser à un autre type de location. La notion de "Chambres d’hôtes" n'est pas très claires dans l'annonce et elle est tournée volontairement ainsi je pense.

French charm and breakfast

Our family of six stayed here one night. The rooms were generous, beautifully decorated and the breakfast was delicious. The apartment comes with a on-site hostess who speaks only French. The second floor is accessible by a small two person elevator. Only real complaint is that the listing says non-smoking, and the hostess smoked (and the smell wandered down the halls towards our bedrooms. Also, there is no A/C.

Beautiful, Elegant, Convenient

A lovely, comfortable family apartment, close to all attractions and convenient to transport. Free parking opposite. Fresh croissants and fresh orange juice served each morning. Initially we were a little perturbed by the presence of a live in hostess; however, Odile’s manner, graciousness and helpfulness was a delight. Excellent value for money. Many more happy birthdays Odile.

Best decision we made!

My 3 friends and I could not have chosen a Berger place to stay! Our location- Perfect! Walking distance to shops, restaurants, and champagne tastings! Our host-Awesome! She was so sweet and attentive to our needs! She even picked us up at train station! And her thoughtful breakfasts were such a “sweet” treat! We would definitely stay there again!
