Good location

The location of the VRBO is great, close to downtown and the lake. However, the space lacks basic amenities like hand soap.

Good Location

Interior was satisfactory. Refrigerator was older, did not have shelves on the doors, did not have icemaker and no ice cube trays were provided. Exterior needs work due to overhanging tree limbs, leaves built up on the ground, fence and front gate in need of repair. Spa and gazebo area very unappealing. Internet connection was not reliable. Host slow to respond.

Beautiful Home, Great Location

Our entire family and extended family (8 people) comfortably stayed here for a wedding. It is only a short walk from downtown and right next to a grocery store (so convenient!). We loved the BBQ in the back yard and the game room was great for the kids! We will definitely stay here again if we're ever in CDA in the future.

Greenhouse in a great location

This home has three stories that fit all of our families needs. They had a great game room downstairs, a nice hot tub and back porch area to sit and relax. The beds were comfortable and we all had plenty of room for my family of 11. Great proximity to downtown Coeur d’Alene with restaurants and shops and waterfront area.

Our Family Reunion

This was a perfect place for the extended family. Age range was from 1 year to 82 and we each had a very relaxing stay. The home was well stocked and the beds very comfortable. The teenagers took over and loved the basement. Thank you for a perfect stay.

We had such a great time. There was so much space in the house and it had everything we needed. The hot tub was so nice during the cool nights. We'll keep this in mind for our next visit

Excellent get away

Great location at this charming property. The hot tub was fantastic. Beds were very comfortable. A suggestion for owner would be to provide a small shampoo/conditioner and soap as we arrived late and wanted to shower . Luckily store is within walking distance. Great place, would rent again

A disaster

Owners son was staying in the house so they cancelled us at the last minute leaving 12 people who flew across the country for a college graduation with no place to say. We ended up in a dirty run down hotel 1 1/2 hours away. Never again. The host should be ashamed of themselves

Ski Vacation

We had a really nice stay at this home. It is well stocked with utensils for cooking in and plenty of room for people to have their own space with the sports basement of activities. We enjoyed how close it was to walk downtown for dining and the marina and great shopping. For my family, the best part was being close to the different ski slopes Schwietzer and Silver Star. The hot tub at the end of the day was very welcoming to tired skiers. A cozy warm comfortable place to stay. Charming.....

Lovely place for family to reconnect!

My husband and I, our son and his wife and two grand children ages 11 and 3 spend a weekend in this great house. The house is decorated beautifully and we found everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time together. We had family meals around the table. The air hockey table in the basement was a big hit with the 3 year old. We walked to the playground and shopping and hiked miles along the lake. Great house! Great location! Beautiful house!

Just right!

Great location, easy to find. This house fit our weekend multi-family plans perfectly. The downstairs game room entertained our 5-11 year olds and gave the adults time to enjoy a soak in the hot tub. Kitchen is nicely stocked with plenty of utensils and cooking tools, could use a few more drinking glasses but we did have a large group. Plenty of towels, and the downstairs shower has nice pressure. Water gets very hot, too! We would happily book this house again.

Nice place!

We had 8 friends together here—3 couples and a set of siblings. The beds were mostly comfortable and it’s a great location. Bring your own dishrags, washcloths, and hand towels, as they are not provided. Bring a fan, also, because only one upstairs bedroom has an air conditioner. Several items didn’t work, such as blinds wouldn’t open, window screens ripped and torn… Over all, it was a good stay. The air conditioner works great on the main level! The air hockey and pool table were a blast, and the hot tub was HOT!! Great location, as it was close to everything.

Great location

The best thing about this house is it’s location. It’s an adorable older home with an awesome hot tub. However, the house was not clean. The basement smelled of mold, as there is water issues/seepage in the basement laundry room. My son sat on the bed in the basement and it collapsed(the slats need to be screwed in) and the ceiling height in the basement is deceiving in the pics, it’s very low. The game area is in the basement and not anywhere you’d really want to spend time because of the moldy smell.

Missed the mark on a sweet location

Check in seemed fine until I realized the AC didn’t work. Contacted the owner but he didn’t get back to me. The home cools off naturally with open windows around 2am so it was only uncomfortable for a few hours of sleep time and each morning it was cool.the hot Tub cover arm was broken so removing the cover was hard but still manageable with two adults. The basement could use a dehumidifier I think. Kinda musty but not that bad.

The little things

The house was spacious and clean and well equipped. The furniture was very nice and clean as well.. the temperatures were very warm during our stay… in high nineties and the house never cooled below 76 degrees. there were a few minor drawbacks in some of the amenities that were a little annoying.. perhaps the owner is unaware..the bathroom lighting was poor in both bathrooms with only one out of five lightbulbs operational in the upstairs bathroom and only two small bulbs in the bathroom downstairs. Kitchen lighting again was too dark.. Soap dispensers didn’t work, no hangers in the closets and the light switches were confusing. I hope the owner can tend to these minor annoyances.. it would be five stars then!

Repairs needed

1) Picture of outside deck inaccurate - both porches were filthy 2) Couch uncomfortable and unable to accommodate 5 people let alone 12 3) Lamp (corner stand lamp) not working in living room 4) No handrails for either entrance/steps (Not ADA approved) 5) No washcloths/soap, limited supplies 6) Dining room wall clock didn't work 7) Sports center was horrible, pool table too close to walls so unable to play; air hockey table tabs kept falling out onto the floor; TV downstairs was for gaming only which didn't accommodate us. Complete house had ONE TV, unacceptable. 8) No dishwasher detergent - had to wash dishes by hand. 9) Minimal supplies (spices etc.) 10) Refrigerator broken shelves/old. Had plastic baskets for trays. Horrible. 11) Outside deck to hot tub a mess/dirty 12) No coverage on front porch, chair and pillow filthy 13) Surrounding fence and walkways horrible, falling down in some spots, gates inadequate, slates missing, sidewalk. Accident ready to happen. 14) Sheets in queen bed on 2nd level questionable if cleaned. 15) One TV, living room. No TV's in bedrooms. 16) Smelled gas in kitchen. 17) False advertising stating "nestled in downtown" and definitely not a 9,4 rating. 18) Internet information in book is incorrect, had to contact Jake which was helpful and pleasant.

Very clean older home but needs work

The home was very clean, easy to check into. The kitchen was nicely stocked with dishes, silverware and pots and pans. The hot tub worked and we enjoyed using it. However, it needs a bit of work like a toilet paper holder in the upstairs bathroom would have been nice. The downstairs bathtub has a clog and very slow draining. There are some light bulbs that need to be replaced. There was no screen in the window of the big bedroom upstairs so we couldn't open the window for fresh air and the blinds didn't open. In the backyard, the yard and outside of house needs a good cleaning and raking. The patio table is missing bolts and very unstable and the two blue chairs are falling apart and not safe to sit in. The cute white fence is ready to fall over and looks bad. Nothing was serious and we enjoyed our stay. We did not contact the owner as nothing was a major problem.

Older Home - cute and clean

This was an older home. It was quite a bit smaller than the pictures made it look. It also smelled like an older home and had older home plumbing problems. It was a great home for 9 people, but the futon that was supposed to be the bed for the 10th person was only about 5 feet long. We had the 10th person sleep on the couch upstairs. That being said, the house was clean and well kept. The cleaning lady was finishing up as we got there and she gave us her phone number to call if we had problems. The hot tub was not working, but she had maintenance come work on it that night. An outdoor pipe broke and it was leaking into the basement. They came and worked on it. Hopefully that will be fixed before anyone else comes. The house was a block away from shopping, restaurants and bars. The beach and Tubs Hill- great little hike, was a few short blocks away. With a good location and prompt replies to house problems, it made for a great vacation.

Lots of potential but needs some TLC

Pros: beds were comfortable. Game room downstairs provided hours of fun. Plenty of paper towels and toilet paper. Cons: Needs cleaning. We took off shoes at door. By bedtime we had to wash our feet which were black from the floor downstairs. Table was not clean. The only regular size fry pan had rusted, broken handle. Food crusted on it. Other pans rusted and dirty. Very few pans. No baking dishes. No dish soap. Not appropriate for 12 people. Had queen sized inflatable bed but it leaked and had no bedding. Had futon bed but no bedding. Basement is damp so not good for someone with mold allergies. Basement floor damp. Shelf/drawers missing in refrigerator and broken on door of refrig. Because we were large family, it was very hard to utilize refrigerator. The only ice tray was from a dorm fridge. Said there was ping pong but there wasn't any. Dining chair had very loose leg. Called manager with questions at arrival. He said he would check on it but we never heard back. Texted concerns, but only got a reply one time.
