Great stay. Randall (owner) was extremely helpful and communicative in advance of the weekend. The basement condo was perfect for the weekend. Super clean, great amenities (loved the towel warmer!), 5 minutes from the Clemson campus, everything was just perfect. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!! Thank you Randall!
As advertised, quiet, clean, great bed (not too soft/mushy, supportive, not hard, loved it). Perfect for visiting beautiful Clemson University and town/lakes nearby. You'll hear the train but it's not too loud (and I'm sensitive to noise like that) Quiet wooded, and safe neighborhood and yard. I really enjoyed having a private/fenced deck to enjoy. Prompt communication with host. Recommended, I'd stay again!
I was very impressed by the cleanliness and beauty of the space. It has a private courtyard with a grill, as well as a private entrance to the property. We arrived quite late, and the owner made sure some lights were left on and gave specific directions to the entrance for our convenience.
The space was exactly what we needed - small with a stove and full size fridge. The decor was nice and welcoming, with the space being well utilized without feeling crowded. The bed had a really comfy memory foam mattress, extra pillows, and thick blankets. The towels were incredibly plush and soft.
The owner was very quick to respond to any inquiries, and made me feel like a valued customer. (For instance, the internet company decided to do some maintenance on the area while I was there, and he checked on the status regularly during the downtime.)
It is literally right down the street from Clemson University, and close to grocery stores and other shopping. I had a great time and will return if it is available!

The place was great and felt like a home away from home. Also the privacy of having a separate door from the main house made it feel much more comfortable/enjoyable
Apartment is clean and was perfect for our use while visiting our daughter at Clemson. It's a little dark inside but there are plenty of lights to turn on.
I'm from the coast of SC and now live in the foothills outside of Clemson. I am an event coordinator for a local catering business with two venues mostly specializing in weddings, retirement parties and family get togethers. I rent out my basement studio on airbnb/vrbo to visiting sports fans and contract worker for the many local industries. I enjoy anything outdoors and I live in an amazing area providing us lakes and mountains for kayaking and hiking. I make stained glass for fun and enjoy gardening along with canning vegetables and jams. I love to travel anyway possible but mostly by car and just stopping and meeting locals and looking for my next experience. I have driven cross country several times and met amazing people and ended up in the most beautiful places off the beaten path. I highly suggest it to anyone who can take the time and just go with the flow. Shoot, just go a couple of towns over and see who you meet and where you end up if you can't take days/weeks off work. Life is unpredictable so make the most of every second and especially be a positive influence on everything and every person along your path.
Why they chose this property
I have always worked in the service industry in some form and one day I decided to minimalize my material possessions, which left me with a lot of "space". I realized that I had an unfinished space in the lower half of my split level home so I took several years to finish it by adding a kitchen, bathroom and heat/AC. I love to travel and I absolutely love the upstate of SC so I wanted to give back to guest traveling to a place I love. I aim to make your trip as perfect as possible so please just ask for any advice on places to visit and things you love so I can help you enjoy your stay.
What makes this property unique
My goal is to give guest a comfortable, private space to relax. As the local universities keep growing and the motel prices are competitively getting higher, I realized I could offer a larger space than a motel room with options to cook/grill out and have privacy for a much lesser cost than a motel.
