Great Stay and communication
We enjoyed our stay at Kimberlie’s cabin. Great outdoor and cozy indoors. Aloof from the city with no noise. The sky was cloudy but on a clear night it’s a great place for sky watching. Our pet Dog also loved the place. We’d come back !

A place of rest
We arrived later than expected but were thankfully found along the road by our host who was out looking for us. The location was wonderful, twenty minutes from the park entrance. Very quiet and serene. Would definitely go back.

Great Get Away
An amazingly cute cabin nestled in gorgeous nature. About a 15 minute drive from Kings and Sequoia National parks its perfect for a real turn-your-phone-off get away. Cozy inside and out with everything you need! Tons of books, games, puzzles, movie, and windows to get lost in the present. Kim was also an amazing host and made sure I was prepared and had everything I needed.

Great for our visit to Kings Canyon & Sequoia NPs. Kim was a great host & was quite nice!
This was a great place to stay for our week of sight seeing and hiking! The views here were a sight of there own and the bird life was a dream! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was quite comfy! Be aware this is a very remote location so have all supplies before you get there, also roads are very narrow and winding.

Tranquil Cabin
Cabin was perfect for 2 people. The place was fully stocked and clean inside. We got to meet Kimberli, our host. She was very sweet and made us feel right at home. It was a perfect location as it was in close proximity to Kings Canyon and Sequoia Nat’l Parks. Highly recommend this property!

Lovely retreat off the beaten path
Very much enjoyed my stay at this property! Hosts were very friendly and helpful and made sure I made it safe. Close to Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks too. Be sure to get there during the daylight as the roads are very twisty, turny. Definitely would recommend!

Sleepy Raccoon Cabin Stay July 2024 Peggy & Paul
We had an amazing stay at the Sleepy Raccoon Cabin! A beautiful peaceful cabin location just minutes outside of Sequoia and Kings Canyon parks. We loved sitting on the porch every morning sipping coffee and observing the wildlife. Outstanding views of the mountains & valley from the porch! We were graced with daily visits from some wild turkey, a beautiful doe, quail, hummingbirds and song birds. The park was a short drive from the cabin (20 minutes). We found many wonderful hiking options, and our host Kimberli provided several great suggestions and tips. The cabin was very cozy and comfortable (we visited during a heatwave). The A/C kept the cabin cool during the extreme daytime temperatures. Early AM and evening temps were perfect for porch sitting. I personally loved laying on the hammock!! The cabin was well stocked with the essentials including a hair dryer!! Hot water and water pressure were great! Kimberli has a great variety of books and games, too! Kimberli is a fantastic host! She communicated with us and provided suggestions prior to our arrival and during our stay. Always friendly and attentive!! Kimberli, thank you for an amazing peaceful retreat! Paul and I plan to return this fall to see the foliage!!

Great place for a relaxing stay near the sequoias
This is our third (or maybe fourth) time at this cabin, and it's always been great. The owner is super helpful and friendly and accommodating. The place is always clean, and it's well stocked with everything we need (except food, of course). It's a close drive to the sequoias, which is why we go, but secluded, so no traffic or neighbor noise. Beautiful sunsets and star-gazing are an added bonus.

Most caring host!
We were running very late and our cell phones died and I had previously messaged her to let her know the directions didnt load to the cabin. She couldnt get a hold of me and stayed up trying and was even willing to come find me thinking I was lost. We finally made a connection and worked out directions and she went to cabin to turn on the lights to make sure we could see well upon our arrival. The cabin is equipt with a lot of books and brochures of the area and she is a wealth of knowledge. I loved how quiet and peaceful this area was no city noise, and loved the early morning animal visitors. This is a quaint little cabin so if your expecting something with all the bells and whistles this is not for you. But it was perfect for me and my granddaughter!

Very Much Enjoyed!
The place is great! We stayed a whole week. it's in the mountains, and it sniwed while we were there. That was exciting for us. Kimberli was very attentive, checking in frequently, lending a couple of things to make our trip more enjoyable. She's also a pleasure to talk to. I definitely recommend.

A slice of heaven
My husband and I had the privilege of staying at the Sleepy Raccoon this weekend and throughly enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful, the fire pit was lovely. Everything about this stay was exactly what we were looking for. If you want to unplug, unwind and disconnect from the world, the sleepy raccoon is your place!

Love this cabin! And the owner is awesome!
My husband and I enjoy hiking in the sequoias, and this cabin is perfect for that--just a short drive from the groves we wanted to visit but off the beaten path, so it has a secluded, quiet feel. We enjoyed sitting on the porch glider in the evenings listening to cicadas and watching the stars from the hammock. Kimberli is SO accommodating, and the cabin is very clean and cozy, with everything we needed in the kitchen. This is our second time staying here, and I'm confident it won't be the last!

Cozy and relaxing
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. After a long day of hiking in the park we came back and had nice dinners prepared on the grill and watched 80's movies on the DVD player. We slept very peacefully at night. Thanks Kimberli! :)

Cozy cabin, great location for Kings/Sequoia, great owner
Communication was great with the owner. Cabin was very nice, and we enjoyed having our coffee on the deck in the morning and an adult beverage on the deck in the evening. Fun to watch the hummingbirds. One thing which is not the Owner’s fault - the VRBO page is poorly designed and led us to believe there was laundry at the cabin, but there isn’t. But it was fine, we did laundry on the way out in Merced.

What makes this property unique

I have tried to put everything in the cabin that I think I would want to have if I was coming up to a home away from home but keeping it simple and uncluttered.
The only thing you will need to bring is your food supplies and toiletries. and personal items.
