We (8 women) had a wonderful time staying in this old house with lots of character. We spent most of the time outside on the deck (quiet and private due to the greenery). The house is close to the beach, town, restaurants, and activities. It was well stocked including plenty of bath towels and beach towels. We recommend the Interurban bus (call in advance), Oval Beach, Dune Rides, Fenn Valley Vineyards, and the Windmill Island Gardens.
Wonderful stay for two nights. Plenty of bedrooms for a full family plus friends. Backyard is huge with a nice deck/patio with outdoor games and a beautiful fire pit. Very convenient location, near everything. Only complaint is that two of the four bedroom window air conditioners are incredibly loud and we were unable to use them as they kept us awake. There were ceiling fans that did help in those two rooms. If the AC units are replaced/updated we would have no complaints. The owner left a very detailed note upon check-in with direct cell phone to contact in case of issues. I would not question staying here again.
The property was charming amd full of character. We were there to stay for a bachelorette party. The house was a 15 minute walk to downtown Saugatuck, which was great. The house was full of everything you would need. The outdoor area was great for outdoor eating and general hanging out.
The property was beautiful! We stayed one night, but the house was clean. It had everything we needed plus the space we needed. Instructions and keys were given to us immediately. It made the stay plus check in and check out extremely easy.
This place was exactly what we needed for our short stay. The history of the house was great to read about. Everything was what we expected from the details. The owner was very prompt with information and answered any questions we had. Property was beautiful and everyone in the family loved the stay. Definitely would recommend and will hopefully return again one day for a longer visit.
We were attending a wedding and reception at Ivy House and didn’t want to drive back to GR afterwards. This was very conveniently located, just 2 mins from the venue. There was plenty of room for 4 couples, and the host was able to get us in early so we could fr and change. Great visit and would stay again, thanks!
This is a beautiful home with tons of space for large families vacationing together. My only complaint is the air conditioning was not on when we arrived at the property, and the house was about 84. We got there late and wanted to go right to bed, but it was just too hot to be comfortable. My recommendation for the property owner would be to make sure the air is running so their guests are comfortable upon arrival. I'm sure it's expensive to cool a house down this size, but that could be a deal breaker for me in the future.
We were shocked at how nice this house was. Large bedrooms with antiques and tons of art. A second kitchen/5th bedroom & 3 sitting rooms! Sadly, the outside no longer looks like the photis. Very overgrown. Neighborhood perfect and even had a family of deer come say hi. Weren't planning on returning.
We really used the house well as we gathered for a wedding - loved the historic houseThe fireplace was lovely and the whole living room/kitchen/dining room was a good place to gather, make food and visit
Trip was planned last min and everything was still great.

Over all it is a great rental very nice place with a great storyline about when and how the home was built. Would highly recommend the house. We had a family wedding in the area and our entire family was able to stay in one place.
The location was great and the size of the house was accommodating for the 7 of us. The sheets were clean and the beds were comfortable. Great firepit.
We were impressed with this historic home, and appreciated the large outdoor space to enjoy games and relaxation with tables and chairs aplenty. Celebrated a 30th wedding anniversary with the 8 people who stayed at the property and 8 others who joined in for a few evening hours.
