This was a perfect fit for the 12 of us. The hot tub was a treat and being oceanside was magical. It was private and clean and we had a great stay.

Wonderful location
Had a great weekend for my wife's 40th birthday. Location is perfect, and the amenities are as advertised. Make sure to review the house rules with respect to care and use of facilities, as they are very detailed. Nothing was very complicated, however.

Beach Log House
Our stay here was wonderful. For a family reunion it is perfect! It sleeps up to 14 & has all the amenities. There is a hot tub, pool table & telescope in the solarium to watch the cruise ships & wild life. There's a wood burning stove in the livingroom which makes it very cozy. Everything is immaculate! It's ocean front property. There are lots of eagles, herons & otters to watch. The owner was very helpful answering all our questions. I would definitely recommend this for a vacation.

Beautiful view
It was a beautiful home to stay in with such an amazing view. I just think that with the the heavy cleaning fee attached here would be no need to do dishes, or empty dishwasher’s or strip your bedding. Also, not having things like paper towel, tinfoil, saran, wrap, etc. include with the household amenities, was very unfortunate. One last thing, for the price check in was way too late same with checkouts. We stayed for two nights in a day and a half. The manager was really nice and very sweet and very informative. Overall, we had a pretty good stay.

Great place Great Location
We rented this for our annual boys' weekend. When we arrived we received a warm welcome. They were very friendly people. It is a great place to kick back and relax. We enjoyed the hot tub. As well as the nice big kitchen table for everyone to gather around for meals and games. The only disappointment was that the pictures showed a pool table and we were really hoping to enjoy it as we all love to play. When we got there unfortunately some previous guest had wrecked it. It was replaced with am Air Hockey table but a Pool Table is so much more. This is a very minor issue though. Great view and we even saw an eagle hanging around. Definitely are great location we want to go back for our annual couples weekend.

Bowser retreat
The cleanliness was not great. Several of the beds were so soft that they were uncomfortable. Many of the light bulbs were burned out. There were no amenities such as soap, shampoo, paper towels etc. There were signs everywhere telling you what you couldn’t do. It was a bit off putting. I expected more for the price we paid.

Weathered accommodations, needs updating, good location
The host is communicative. However the accommodations is run down especially for the price, cluttered furniture and not as advertised. None of the patios were set up or even given access to furniture. The 13 person dining room lighting was poor. We needed to bring in a lamp from the other room to help. Barely any supplies. We get no paper towels but at least have some washable napkins and adequate utensils. They need to really consider lowering their price or doing a major upgrade on the offerings. Overall, it was a nice location and we made the best of it.

Owner left notes all over with rules and threats of charging us extra if we didn’t comply.
The property and location was beautiful. However the owner had so many rules it took half hour to show us around and explain everything! My daughter arrived before check in time and was given a rude greeting, didn’t even offer to hold their luggage when she explained she was meeting us there early so we could go grocery shopping. Overall it was not a relaxing time. Rules I don’t mind, but threatening to charge us more if we didn’t sort the garbage properly, if we dirtied the hot tub, if we didn’t use pads on the grill of the barbecue and it got greasy and even if we blocked the toilet!!!

Annual Ladies Trip
The location and scenery was spectacular. Check in was smooth and although a long explanation and walk through it was easy and the host was very nice. As a group we have been renting properties for 25 years and this one was up there as far as location. There were some concerns however. There was a strong septic smell on the property and the refrigerator had a terrible smell inside. Also there was limited toilet paper as well as no tin foil, Saran Wrap, parchment paper or napkins. With the price we paid for this rental those small things should have been provided as all other houses we have rented did have. We did not use the hot tub as we were all afraid of the 500.00 charge that we were told about if the tub was dirty.. Little things go a long way and if a few of our concerns were addressed we would highly recommend this beautiful location.

Exactly as pictured!
This rental was terrific. Everything in the photos and description is accurate. The location is superb with lots to do for adults and children, though there were only adults in our group. The home is well equipped with lots of dishes, space, and extras, that make a rental feel like a home. Lots of great restaurants near by and the location could not be better.

Family Vacation
All in all we had a great time at this property. Beautiful oceanfront location, the house is spacious and comfortable with lots of choice in outdoor seating areas. Our family enjoyed the hot tub and the kayaks and canoe were used almost daily. They were such a bonus to have use of! The location is very convenient for daytrips and our group did several. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful! Lots of time was spent beachcombing, but unfortunately the beach was too rocky for even the adults to get in to swim. Caroline was helpful and quick to deal with any concerns we had. The only thing I would add is that some of the beds (king bed) are too soft and might cause a problem for some.

Peaceful & relaxing
Great property & location. The sun rises & sunsets were awesome! Many hours were enjoyed beach combing in the tidal pools & the green space around the house provided a great space to play outdoor games which we brought with us. Upon arriving we did experience a few issues but Carolyn was very receptive & quick to resolve our concerns. The house was very well stocked. It was our experience that this house can only comfortably sleep a maximum of 12 with two people sharing each queen/king bed. The games room was too bright & the futon was not comfortable enough to be used as a bed. On the deck on the southeast side of the house there was a very noticeable & unpleasant smell from the septic system. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope that one day we will have an opportunity to vacation here again!! Thank-you Carolyn!!

Amazing Views
Our family had a lovely time at the Beach House. Our Alberta born Grandchildren swam and Kayaked every day. Carolyn bought some new lawn toys for them and they were very well used. My daughters and I felt the inside of the house could be cleaner, especially the kitchen, but all 3 of us are a little OCD in the cleaning and tidying department. There were many knives in 2 knife blocks and none of them were good for cutting. The king size bed was very soft and neither my husband and I nor my daughter and her husband could sleep on it , so it went to our 15 year old Grandson, who does care where he sleeps! There were 7 of us in all so the rule about 10 minutes between showers was a little tricky, but we did it. Overall we had a great time!!

Making Memories
We all completely enjoyed our stay at Carolyn's beautiful log home. We ate oysters collected straight off the beach in front of the house (with a license, of course!), had a beach fire both nights, lounged on the beautiful lush lawn, relaxed on several of the many decks, and enjoyed cooking, eating, and relaxing in the comfortable space indoors. Carolyn is a one-woman show, doing much of the gardening, cleaning, and management of the space, and is relaxed and friendly in conversations. We would definitely recommend this space! Thanks, Carolyn!
