Host communication was gd. After we checked in next day i notice black mold in ice chutes side. I msg owner no reply. It needs to address. Not safe. The window aircon unit had mold too. My sis in law notice.
Overall place was close masphee commons. I hope above matters are taken care.
This was our second stay at this property. The house is situated on a beautiful corner lot in walking distance to the Santuit Pond and close driving distance to many of Cape Cod’s beautiful destinations. My only suggestion would be to give the house a good wipe down. There were many spiders and their webs in the corners of the rooms and ceiling. 4.5 stars
Overall the house was good. I do feel a little mislead because I thought it was on the pond, but it is not. It was a quick walk down the street. Also there is no hot tub. Neighborhood was great and house was clean. Not that this is a big deal but wish there was a tv upstairs. I did not feel comfortable in the basement. It smelled a little damp down there. All in all good for the price.
Need to clarify check in and out exactly what hat time since saying 5 days may be misunderstood, for those who are doing this for the first time
Otherwise it was wonderful experience
The house was bigger than expected. Big size rooms with extra-extra pillows. ACs in the rooms was very appreciated.
Kitchen fully equipped for our fault of five.
The game room in the basement is very nice with its air hockey table.
Location is perfect. Close to grocery stores and other essentials.
Are is super quiet.
We would book again without hesitation.
Thx for the pleasant stay.
The house is very comfortable and perfect for three generations of my family. My kids loved the game room and the four minute drive to Mashpee pond, which is a great place to swim.
We had such a nice time here. It was absolutely perfect for our first visit to New England. Plenty of room for our large family for an affordable price!! Super peaceful and quiet with all the touristy stuff close by. Thanks for sharing your home with us!
We loved our three nights in this pretty little cottage in Mashpee. Brilliantly located within easy reach of everything Cape Cod had to offer. Great facilities, everything we needed! Thank you!
Well maintained, very clean, and bigger than the pictures portrait. Large yard for the kids to play in, location is perfect with shade, sun, and seclusion. No houses to either side, only one place behind it and that's on a hill so you really can't even see that. Our four kids between the ages of 7 and 13 enjoyed the game room, and the bedrooms were roomy. The way the living room flowed into the eat in kitchen was real nice. The kitchen was well stocked and very large, lots of storage space. It even has a small office that my wife found useful because she had to bring some office work with her. The house has ample parking with a gas station convenient store located within a mile. We all loved it and would stay again.
We had a great time in Cape Cod and at this property. This neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful and we spent every morning enjoying the morning sun on the porch before setting out for the day.
It’s close to some good beaches, and Mashpee Commons, which was nice for shopping and getting groceries.
The rooms in the house are spacious, the kitchen well-stocked, and the appliances are all easy to use. There’s lots of towels and linens and extra supplies.
This was a great house for our two kids- especially with the air hockey table in the basement rec room.
We had a great time!
We (3 couples) rented a house for a few days. The beds were very comfortable, the parking is right outside the door and the patio is big enough. We really enjoyed staying there. The host was ready to answer our questions in a timely manner.
Easy to get to. A good place.
One bedroom does not have air conditioning. But that's not the question. Even with more than 90° outside, this bedroom was not bad.
We loved the house and the location. Our favorite part of the day was sitting on the front porch every morning, drinking our coffee and catching up with each other.
The only downside of the visit was that when we used the oven the first night of our visit, it set off the fire detector. We tried to contact the owner by phone to see if there was anything we could do about it and got no response. We then email and got a response right away.
Overall we really enjoyed the home and our visit to the Cape.
Established neighborhood with shade trees and beautiful scenery!
Enjoy evenings on a front or back porch with lots of room in between. The property is on a corner lot with lots of room for outside games. Beautiful hanging flowers on the front porch were welcoming. A hose by the 2-4 plus driveway. Very charming traditional cape code home.
While this is a nice property, there were some things that needed attention. The porch light switch didn’t work properly. You had to push the switch just so, and then it just stopped working after a while. There needs to be some end tables in the bedrooms and living room. There’s no where to set things like drinks, phones, alarm clocks, etc. Also, it looked like the front yard was mowed, but the back yard where the deck is clearly was not mowed! Could also have had a better cleaning. Dirty baseboards, kitchen sink, dust bunnies under the furniture that was visible. Didn’t have to look for them.
My family and I had a great stay here! The neighborhood it falls within is really cute and just a walk from the lake. All three rooms were nicely sized and we loved sitting on the from my and back porches. The only thing that would have made it a little bit better if there was a bigger TV upstairs, but we hardly used it so ended up not even mattering!

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Dirty, ant infestation, rude owners
The owners were inflexible with the check in time, even though there were no occupants. There had not been any occupants since September 2020. We arrived on Thursday evening and found areas of the kitchen floor and carpeting to be unclean, laden with dirt. One of the bedroom carpets was damp. Since the owner’s policy was to provide 24-hour notice of any issues, we notified the owners by text message. On Friday morning, the owners came to the house and acknowledged the dirt and credited us for the cleaning fee.
Friday night, we noticed that the kitchen sink, refrigerator, counter areas were infested with ants. We notified the owners of the ant infestation. The owners came to inspect the ants on Saturday. Instead of taking care of the ant infestation, the owners accused us of bringing in the ants because we have open food, which is a ridiculous accusation. The ants were at the house prior to our residency. The only items consumed at the house was coffee, and a packaged sandwich. We did not cook and did not leave any food on the counter. The owners stated that there have never been any ant issues. They also told us that there is nothing that can be done with the infestation, and that if we were not happy, we should leave.
The owners were rude, accusatory and aggressive. Instead of attempting to remove the ants and determining the source of the infestation, they did nothing. They said that ants are a common problem on the Cape, and that we should just close our food containers.
Needless to say, we were forced to find another place.
Excellent communication with property owner and quick responses to any questions asked. Nice property and great place to stay for the week. Very happy with the stay and hope to do it again!
