The cottage was clean and comfortable. It was very quiet and peaceful. Just right for a getaway. Lisa recommended some great local restaurants. The central location allowed us to visit multiple state parks and the Dells.
The property was amazing. The cabin was cozy with everything we needed. And talk about the perfect hosts, we can not wait to say here again!
Thank you for everything Dave and Lisa❤️
My girlfriend and I had an AMAZING time at Pinehaven! The property is great, the scenery was beautiful, and Lisa and Dave were very hospitable. This is a fantastic place to visit during the fall. I especially love the fireplace and being able to feed the horses. This is a great weekend gate away spot to check out.
I would return in a heartbeat. The owner Lisa is welcoming, accommodating, not at all intrusive and is just plain nice. The setting is lovely. The cottage was totally clean and well appointed. The furniture and bed were very comfortable. I could go on and on with positives. My only less than completely positive, was the hum of traffic from the highway, but that is only because I live in very rural northern WI. If the location and price are right for you, GO FOR IT!
Perfect setting, beautiful decor and surrounding area.

The setting of this property is idilic. There are big trees, a pond, a tree swing, gazebo, walk to the Baraboo river, and you can feed carrots to two beautiful horses. There are beautiful and diverese birds coming to the bird feeder just outside. There a porch swing a table and chairs on the deck. It is very quiet. The bedfing and towels smell clean, no perfumes!
The cabin at Pinehaven was wonderful! From checking in to checking out the whole experience was great. The cabin was spotless, the host was awesome and location is great! Lots to do in the area from downtown Baraboo to the Dells or just relax in the cabin. Was exactly what we were looking for!
Pinehaven is truly a haven. Tucked away in a pinegrove overlooking a beautiful pond, you really feel far away from the stress of the 21st century. Fantastic hosts and two friendly Belgiums make it extra special. Everything about our stay was perfect! We'll be back.
Very nice and quiet property. Freshly remodeled with good taste cottage. Very clean inside and out. Owners very friendly (so as dogs and horses) and accommodative. We felt very safe and comfortable dooring our stay. We will definitely come back with our friends and families
The cabin was quaint with view of a pond and surrounded by trees.
Their home is just a few feet from the cabin, but, they gave us our privacy. The town of Baraboo was within a mile or so and offered nice restaurants, a large grocery store and access to activities like kayaking. We primarily came to bike and found a variety of trails with easy terrain that were within a half hour to an hour away. The Dells is only a half hour away and offers something for all ages.
I can't find anything negative to say about our stay. It is a beautiful cabin, clean, homey, and wonderfully decorated. There were so many nice touches like fresh flowers in the cabin and on the table on the porch. There was everything you need to make the stay enjoyable. The owners, Lisa and Dave were so nice and the added touch of 2 sweet dogs, Maddie and Angel made it even more so. We will definitely recommend to others and we will be back again.
Perfect Stay! There was nothing that we could say, but this was the perfect weekend. Our host was very accommodating and the cottage was outstanding and spotless and we give them an A+.
Property is beautiful and in a great location (conveniently located near Devil’s Lake and the Dells). Lisa is a wonderful host and provided several suggestions on the best way to enjoy the area. My wife, myself, and my 2 year old daughter very much enjoyed our time and would recommend this property to any person coming to the area.
We were very happy with our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed for our family of 4. The bathroom was obviously newer, and it was a nice touch. The overall size and layout was very comfortable for us. The owners were friendly and nice to our kids. Overall, a very lovely experience.

About the host
Hosted by Lisa Getschman
David and I are Baraboo natives and passionate about caring for Pinehaven, our home and Country Inn. When David isn't mowing or caring for our majestic Blonde Belgian work horses, he works side by side with Lisa to keep Pinehaven in tiptop shape. Lisa is a retired IT professional and when not innkeeping, she gardens, raises monarch butterflies, and cranks socks on an antique machine. Come to stay with us and see why this is our "Pineheaven".
Why they chose this property
David's family purchased this property in 1959 with a bed and breakfast in their minds. They finally reached their goal in 1990 and opened the property. Now, Lisa and David run the property in the same spirit as his parents, however, it should be noted that we no longer serve breakfast.
What makes this property unique
Fish (catch and release) in our 2.5 acre pond or stroll our 21 acres after a busy day at Devil's Lake or Wisconsin Dells. We also have two majestic draft horses, Max and Major who are always waiting for love from our guests. They are sometimes on the north side of the highway, so please ask the Innkeeper, Lisa if you don't see them!
