The cabin was cute and clean, the hot tub was wonderful. Kitchen is pretty small for a group of 6-7. Better lighting in the great room (kitchen and living room area would be good, it was pretty dim.The problem we had was that two of us had to park down the hill to make room for other cars, there was no warning that 4-wheel drive might be needed to get back up. I tried 3 times to get my car up the hill to the driveway and kept sliding back down, the gravel gave no purchase. Finally someone was able to get the car up although it caused some gravel to spray, but it was a real issue. I was happy we didn't have to call AAA or a tow truck. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
Pros: Leasing agent Tina was greatcomfortable bedshot tubfire placepool tablecoossawatte river resort( paved roads)Jetted tub in masterCons: Only 1 pool cue had a tipTV too smallonly master bedroom has TV( sleeps 12, more TVs needed)only 2 wine glasses for possibly 12 people no potato masherno toaster ( toaster oven instead, inconvenient time wise)only 1 plastic cup ( no glass near hot tub) cleanliness not what we are use to. no attention to detail
Jake's Hideaway exceeded our expectations. The housekeeping staff was friendly and informative, and the cabin was impeccable and cozy. Even our fur baby enjoyed a break from the fast pace of city life. Our family could not ask for more. It felt like a slice of heaven. Thank you for your hospitality and we look forward til the next adventure.
not have asked for a better place to stay.

Family reunion
Jake’s Hideaway is a beautiful, comfortable, well maintained, clean, and quiet place. However, the communication between the property manager and the resort staff is seriously lacking. One gate guard actually told my daughter that they, meaning Coosawatee staff, dislike VRBO rentals. Also, the Host Fee of $355 effectively doubled our cost. We won’t return.
The property was perfect for our group of 9. We could have accommodated at least 3 more easily. The Cabin was nicely decorated and fully stocked with all we needed. It was conveniently located near the square and all the main shopping and restaurants. The population of deer was fun to see. We had a great time and would definitely go back..
We very much enjoyed our stay. The property is as described and we had no complaints about the cleanliness of the cabin. The hot tub and surrounding areas needed some attention, however. It wasn't clean. This did not spoil our visit, as the weather was rainy and cool. Perhaps roof additions over the porches could be considered. The abundance of deer throughout the resort was a surprise. We enjoyed watching them. But a forewarning on the property description might be considered.
Beds were uncomfortable for everyone, hottube smelled and didnt heat properly, garden tube in the master didnt work properly, back deck hadnt been cleaned for sometime. Back deck fountain didnt work. Ice trays were dirty. There was a patch of a persons hair on the in table. Floors were not properly cleaned and i have pictures
i We enjoyed the unexpected deer visits. The host was very helpful with information about the area and things we could do. She was very accessible. the kitchen was well supplied and enough linen was available. the only down side for us was not having a fire pit.
This is our second prolonged visit to Jake’s. And we are planning another visit soon. My family, my dog and I all love it. We’ve made friends with the deer and spent some time in downtown Ellijay. Highly recommend!!
The property is in a gated community. You have to check in with security every time you enter the community. However the house was clean and nicely decorated. The house had adequate amenities but PLEASE bring your own bath towels, wash cloths, kitchen towels, trash bags, bath tissue and paper towel. The kitchen towels and bath towels provided were old and faded. The house had a hot tub, pool table and tons of games. My family enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and sitting on the porch and patio watching the deers (there were hundreds). We also enjoyed Carter’s Lake (the overlook at the dam is breathtaking). There is not much to do in the Ellijay in terms of things to do. It was refreshing to get away from the city and enjoy the peace and quiet in the mountains.
The location was great and it had plenty of room for everyone. The place does need a deep clean. There was also dog hair all over the rugs. We slept downstairs in the biggest bedroom since we had a baby but every movement upstairs or even on the stairs was so loud in the rooms. It was difficult getting our daughter to sleep when anyone was upstairs moving around, pulling a chair out to sit, etc. We had seven adults, 2 kids, and 1 baby. We found out that if you are running the dishwasher or washing machine, you can't shower. There was no water pressure downstairs so we would have to wait for either one to finish a cycle before someone could shower which was inconvenient when you had so many people. We did love the hot tub and the abundant deer.

Adequate
Maybe once upon a time this place was nice and enjoyable to stay in, but not anymore. We arrived to dirty toilets, peeling paint, at least 5 main light bulbs burned out, little-to-no kitchen organization, and after paying an extra $315 for 3 additional guests we weren’t even provided enough clean towels for all guests as promised.
The hot tub smelled so bad we couldn’t use it and even though we were told that since our stay was longer than 3 days we would see a hot tub tech come by to make sure it was in top shape, nobody came. And on top of all that, there wasn’t even your typical mountain view from the cabin.
All in all it was unfortunately a very lackluster experience for a hefty price tag.
Julee was great to work with, had some last minute changes on number of people coming but Julee took care of everything for us. House was clean, had everything we needed. Bedt part where all the deer we saw. If you like the see wildlife this is a great place to stay.

Beautiful Place
It was a very nice place, seeing deer so close while I was in the hot tub was very nice. Communication with property manager after I book was iffy, I didn't understand the pricing and everything but other then that, I loved it!
We really enjoyed our stay at Jake's Hideaway. The property was large enough that two adults, four teenage girls and our dog, never felt like we were on top of each other. There was a lot of fun things to do not only at the house, but also in the town of Ellijay. This town is also super dog friendly! Julee was also very prompting in communication! We recommend taking your family to Jake's Hideaway!!
The property is beautiful. We wanted a relaxing trip to the mountains and that is exactly what we got. The reviews on all the deer did not disappoint. The property manager was very responsive and prompt. We would stay again.
As a group of 8 staying in the cabin, we really enjoyed everything that was offered at the Jake's Hideaway. A few suggestions for the owner.... the electric in the basement would go out everyday and sometimes multiple times. The towels situation for the number of guests could have been more sufficient. Other than that our stay was a great time with our friends and family.
The cabin had plenty of space and bathrooms for all. Beautiful fireplace.
Enjoyed the hot tub and all the deer right out back. Sorry that they cancelled the apple festival due to COVID. We enjoyed the beautiful places to hike! The train ride was fun....
