About this property

Lakeside Luxury Home with Private Beach, Dock, Lawn & Privacy

Sorry, we are sold out for 2025 summer season. Please check back in 12/2025 for Summer 2026 season.

This luxury 6 bedroom -- 5.5 bathroom home sits on the waterfront of an 8-acre estate and faces south with excellent sun all day long. The house is immaculately clean, and comfortably sleeps your extended family in 6 bedrooms. The house features multiple spacious living areas, a large "chef's kitchen" and many amenities (Jacuzzi, sauna, kayaks, stand-up paddleboard, outdoor shower). The location can't be beat -- serene cove, safe beach, great swimming, picturesque setting, abundant nature, but only a few minutes away from groceries, gas, shopping. The privacy and serenity are incredible....no looking across a narrow channel or over the fence at neighbors.

We provide our guests with an immaculately clean, well-appointed, spacious lakefront home for their use and enjoyment. The property offers tranquility, surprising amount of privacy, over 300 feet of shoreline, wildlife, beach, dock (accommodates two 30-foot boats), superb water access for boating, swimming, kayaking, and fishing. It is rare to have this much seclusion and serenity, yet be just a few minutes away from Center Harbor for groceries, restaurants, and shopping.

The 5,500 square feet home features a cedar and log exterior, heart pine floors, Adirondack detailing, a spacious gourmet kitchen, cathedral ceilings over a great room that adjoins the dining area and kitchen, and central air conditioning. There are three fireplaces with stone hearths, two generous decks that overlook the lake, a large screened-in-porch with views of nature and the lake, and a dock. The walkout basement provides a large, comfortable great room with stone fireplace, adjoining bar, game room with ping pong, and sauna. You will find the house immaculately clean.

Lawns and patios provide additional areas for gathering, or privacy. A three-car garage and driveway provide ample parking for as many as 8 cars and/or boat trailer. The garage has a 220 volt - 50 amp outlet for electric vehicle charging.

We provide for our guests a stand-up paddle board, tandem kayak, single kayak, rowboat, life-jackets for all sizes (children to adult), four bicycles and helmets, tennis rackets, a basketball court, table tennis, sauna, jacuzzi, washer/dryers, broad band wireless internet access, two high-definition TV's, and wifi internet access throughout the house.

The prime location of this house on Salmon Meadow cove offers southern views (e.g. sunlight all day), beautiful tall pines, loon nests, over 300 feet of shoreline, bass fishing, and cove swimming. The shoreline offers a perched beach and a gentle sandy slope into the water which is ideal for young children. The cove is perfect for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and watching loons, yet offers easy access to open water. There is plenty of yard for kids to play in. We also have amenities of city life (which our kids appreciate) - HD cable TV, wireless broadband internet, basketball hoop, and karaoke system. Boat rental, jetski, standup paddle board, groceries, gas, restaurants are only a few minutes away by car. The location of the property on a map can be viewed by clicking above on 'Map' icon.

Comfortable beds in 6 bedrooms. Although the house sleeps 18, we limit rentals to a strict maximum of 12 people. The first floor master suite includes a master bedroom, large and comfortable study, walk-in closet, his/her double shower, Victorian clawfoot tub, his and her vanities, and views of the lake. The second floor features a bunk room with 4 twin beds; a guest suite with a queen bed and its own bathroom; another guest suite with a queen bed and its own bathroom, and one additional guest room with a queen bed and a shared bathroom. The basement has a large bedroom with 4 bunk beds, a trundle bed, and an adjoining bathroom.

We do not allow pets or any smoking on the property. Our goal is to provide a beautiful, clean, well equipped, home with great waterfront views, a dock for your boat, a lake for swimming and sandy perched beach for your kids, good access to fishing, and tranquility to enjoy. You are welcome to contact us for more information.

Cancellation policy provides full refund for any future New Hampshire restrictions for COVID-19 that prevent travel into the state or prevent short term rentals.

Fabulous Vacation

Our family of 12 (3 generations) couldn't have found a better place to vacation. The house and property exceeded our expectations. The setting on a quiet cove was so peaceful. We even witnessed a loon family making their nest nearby. Ken Tanabe was very helpful in every aspect - making suggestions of activities, restaurants, etc., as well as answering any questions we had.

Perfect Family Retreat

Everything about this home and property was perfect for our three generation family getaway. At the end of a long, private drive through several acres of land is a beautiful lodge style house that gives a great first impression and welcomes you to the splendor of lake living. Inside the house is a little bit for everyone. A large, gorgeous master suite on the first floor is perfect for older folks for whom stairs might be an issue. Also on the first floor is an open concept living-dining-kitchen area that allows a group to spread out while being together at the same time. Indoors flows to outdoors gracefully through a large screened-in porch large enough for the entire group onto a deck with view of the lake. The kitchen is fully stocked and spacious, making it easy to have multiple cooks in the kitchen. Looking for fun? The house has a ping pong table, karaoke machine, many board games, a bocce set for the large lawn out back, a hot tub just outside the lower level and sauna just inside for warming up after an evening swim, two kayaks, a stand up paddleboard, floats, a multitude of PFDs (life preservers) for all ages, a basketball hoop, several bikes, tennis rackets for tennis at nearby courts, and more. The setting is idyllic. Listen to the rhythmic croaking of bullfrogs at night from the screened-in porch and the calls of loons from the nearby nesting area. Tall pines surround the property, providing a feeling of seclusion and privacy. Salmon Meadow Cove is a lovely area to explore and swim. Getting into town (Center Harbor or Meredith) is a quick drive for groceries, dining, ice cream, shopping, and beer/wine/liquor. Lastly, the owner, Ken, is a pleasure to work with and is an outstanding communicator. He provided great advice on things to do in the area and is extremely welcoming. Thank you for opening your home to us!

Wonderful

This is the most idyllic house and location for a family reunion or large get together. We stayed over the Fourth of July week with my extended family which included babies as well as a great grandparent. We all had our own space to retreat to as well as plenty of common space to hang out in and have meals together. The house is located on a quiet and relatively secluded inlet. The garden around the house is well landscaped and a great place for kids to play. We all had a great vacation and Ken, the owner, was super helpful in providing information and answering any of our questions.

Great time. Secluded but available to the lake if you rent a boat. Great time!

Great layout for house that allows separation. First floor master so can have grandparents take over for you. Lower level bunks for the kids.

Beautiful quiet luxury vacation spot on the lake!!

Great high quality home in an excellent setting on a quiet cove connected to the main lake. Lots of space on three levels with plenty of comfortable bedroom options. Screened in porch is a great spot for afternoon relaxation/nap! Home is in excellent condition. We stayed for a week with weather in the upper 80s. Home was very cool and comfortable. Lots to do in the area. Hiking, boating, fishing, easy access to several towns as well as shopping and dining. Owner is a pleasure to work with and works hard to make sure everything is perfect. HIghly recommend this home for a family vacation or extended family vacation as there is plenty of room for everyone. This is our favorite family vacation and we hope to be back next summer!!

Excellent Family Vacation!!

What a fantastic week! This house is beautiful. Pictures don't do it justice! It was so clean and comfortable with many amentities. We stayed with another family, kids ranging in ages from 4-15. There is something for everyone. We enjoyed days spent relaxing by the beautiful lake. There were no shortage of stuff to do! Fishing, boating and swimming made the days great! Ken, the owner left us very detailed information about any questions we might have and made himself available to answer any questions we had. We highly recommend this house and are looking forward to returning next year!!

Spectacular Home, Perfect Setting

Our extended family typically vacations in one home in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, but several of us prefer the milder temperatures of New England, so we convinced the college kids to trade the ocean for a lake last summer. Our party of 12 ranged in age from 19-70 and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful home. This is undoubtedly the most beautiful home we had ever stayed in; typical OBX rentals are not largely for the owners' personal use, and the pride of ownership and cleanliness of this home is beyond compare to any rentals we have booked previously. The lot the house is on could not be better - it is private, in a cove, and has a swim raft that we enjoyed tremendously. We highly recommend renting a boat from Shep Brown's Boat Basin nearby - we did, and it enabled us to boat to Wolfeboro, dine at waterfront restaurants, water ski, and swim in the middle of the lake. The inside of the home is spotless. We enjoyed the gourmet kitchen and the lovely bedrooms. The sauna is outstanding, as is the hot tub. We used the karaoke machine, and my mother-in-law bought her own after returning home, having enjoyed it so much. I can't say enough about this home - look no further if you want a memorable family vacation. The owner of the home was a true pleasure to work with. He provided us with a wealth of information on the house, recommended a marina, and gave us detailed information on boating and fishing in their area. Email correspondence was prompt, the communication before/during/after the vacation was helpful, and our security deposit was returned in the promised timeframe. I sincerely hope to stay at this home again at some point in the future!

Stunning! Beautiful! Relaxing! Spacious!

This stunning and beautiful home is tucked away in a private and quiet cove on the lake. Early morning may be the most beautiful time as it is so quiet except for the call of the loons swimming just off the edge of the dock. This home is almost brand new with everything in excellent condition. It is clear the owner takes exceptional care of this property. The kitchen contains all premium appliances with loads of counter space and a large and beautifully crafted island. Our family enjoyed many fun dinners around the large kitchen table and the large screened in porch was a great place for afternoon naps. The property has complete privacy with plenty of open and well maintained lawn space for our annual family whiffle ball game. The floor plan is truly one of the best we have seen, having rented many similar properties, and the big bonus is the finished lower level (with walk out access to the backyard) where our kids had plenty of room and privacy. With a nice beach area, dock, and raft, the waterfront area of this property has it all. The owner has been very easy to work with and highly responsive when we need help or have questions. Thank you so much. We hope to return for many more summers!

Gem on lake Winnipesaukee

During the summer for one week our family travels to New Hampshire. We have stayed in many beautiful homes. This summer we discovered our favorite. We turned onto the road from the main road and crept up to the most amazing home we had ever seen. Our mouths were open from the front yard to the back. It took us an hour of phone calls to family and friends describing our beautiful home. Its not easy finding a home as clean and together as we like. I am a gourmet cook and I had the most amazing stove and kitchen. I cooked every night. The rooms are spacious and the basement was a god send, when the adults wanted some peace the kids went to the finished lower level to play with their toys and ping pong. The spa was a bonus, and also the sauna (which we did not use) but was so nice. Unfortunately we did not get to enjoy the theatre as it was still unfinished, hopefully we will next time we stay. The views from the house of the private alcove of the lake was amazing. The neighbors are out of sight and the mornings and evenings are quiet. This home is also central to all of our favorite haunts, antiques, country store, gas station, farm (where the cider donuts are fresh on Thursdays). We left so relaxed and happy from this gorgeous home. If you are lucky maybe you will be able to enjoy this gem of New Hampshire.

Lovely house and serene setting

My family rented this house for 2 weeks in July. First of all, the owner was wonderful to deal with. He responded to e-mails promptly and answered all of our questions. We received our security deposit back in record time, too. It is really a fantastic house at the end of a very long and private dirt road. The kitchen was all new and fully stocked. There is plenty of room for the whole family to eat together. The yard was beautiful and the cove was very serene. A perfect place for a family gathering!

Luxury in a most stunning...

Luxury in a most stunningly beautiful setting!...You will have a treat if you stay here. Spacious enough for 2 or 3 families and in a perfect location. The house itself is in a surprisingly secluded and quietly beautiful area. Best spot on Lake Winnipesaukee! Our kids loved using the rowboat and kayaks. We loved the abundance of natural beauty and wildlife. The interior of the house is beautiful, comfortable and immaculately clean, with top of the range appliances. This is a great location for exploring the Lakes region and also near enough to adventure in the White Mountains. . . but no-one really wanted to leave the house! The owner was extremely helpful and did research/gave advice over and above what was expected. A fabulous place for an extra special vacation!

My wife have had the good fortune to build a lakefront home in Moultonborough and enjoy seemingly endless vacations together with friends and extended family. And we've enjoyed the opportunity to share our house with many others who have also created lasting memories.

Why they chose this property

After boating on Lake Winnipesaukee for several years, we spent considerable time looking for the right location to build a home for our family vacations. We chose Moultonborough because of its tranquility, beautiful shoreline and homes, and friendly atmosphere. We chose a cove location to allow for safe swimming and kayaking by our children, yet easy access to 'big water.' And we chose a level lot with ample waterfront ( 300 feet) abutting a preserved area, yet with a shallow slope and beach for our young children. We've been fortunate to create ever lasting memories during our time on Winnipesaukee, and we're delighted that others with whom we've shared the house have also created special memories.

What makes this property unique

Large property -- 8 acres of tranquility.
Cove location -- quiet and perfect for swimming and kayaking, yet literally 2 minutes from areas for wakeboarding or tubing.
We provide kayaks, standup paddle board, rowboat, swim platform, and life jackets for all sizes.
Very short drive to gas or groceries (e.g. 3 minutes)...we're only 1 mile down Moultonboro Neck Rd.
Amenities to keep an extended family comfortable and happy (separate TV for kids; central air conditioning; several places for dining; gourmet kitchen).
We provide our guests with an immaculately clean, well-appointed, spacious lakefront home for their use and enjoyment.
We're very pleased to provide you with all of the necessary information to help you plan the perfect vacation.
