All over a great place, very quiet. Limited parking on street and a little tight fit getting luggage in through the doors. They have plenty of kitchen cookware and plenty of books to read!
My wife grew up in Oak Park, and she loves going back to visit. This studio apartment was walking distance to all the things we enjoy in town. And it was clean, comfortable, and our host was quick to respond. We'll definitely go back.

I'm sorry but I would not say this place was clean. My husband and I just traveled for 3 weeks and stayed in 7 different places and this one was definitely not clean by our standards. There were cobwebs/ dust bunnies under the stairs and furniture. We had to kill multiple spiders while staying here and brought in a can of bug spray to spray it around the stairs and moldings. The windowsill in the kitchen had dirt all over it and coffee grounds were all over the counter and inside every part of the coffee maker and when I wiped the kitchen table the towel was black afterwards. The one pillow on the bed looked like it had a huge stain on it. The building was definitely loud as others have said but that didn't bother us all that much. On a positive note the location is great but this is not a pIace I would ever consider staying in again.
This was a great place to stay. It was roomier than we expected, clean, and exactly as described. Easy check-in process and good communication with the host. We would definitely stay again!
Very clean and plenty of space. Great communication and very detailed instructions on check in and out. Entry was simple but we felt safe. Great location and lots of fun shops to check out. Definitely did a lot of walking which we loved.
We came in for the Wright + weekend and couldn’t have been happier with the location. Also the place was bigger than we expected. Loved having a kitchen. Wish we had planned better and gone to the Farmer’s Market nearby.
We were in town for a wedding and this place was within walking distance of the venue and lots of restaurants/shops. It's in such a cute, historic neighborhood and we loved being able to walk everywhere since we didn't have a car. Anne was very responsive, and the studio was clean and spacious. The unit is garden level so you can hear the neighbors walking around upstairs - not a big deal for us since we were out and about most of the time but something to note if you're sensitive to noise.

Good location. Unit is in the basement. Bed was comfortable. Building was noisy.
The location was very convenient. Lots of places close by, very clean.
I wish there was some kind of binder or book with information. How to run tv things to do around area maps and information on trains or public transportation, restaurants.
Owner was very helpful with all things.
This is my wife's and my favorite little place to stay in Oak Park. Ann does a phenomenal job with the decorating, cleanliness, and communication on all our visits. You can't beat the location - toms of food and drinks walking distance or a very short drive. You will not be disappointed!
Once again, we had a phenomenal stay at Ann's place! Had everything we needed and when we needed one more thing she was on it immediately for us. The bed is super comfy!!! Can't beat the location and the neighborhood is one of the best walking neighborhoods around!
It was a great place to stay for the triathlon. Very clean and comfortable. They only thing that wasn't great was that the upstairs neighbors were loud, but there's not much to do to help that.
This property was great!!!
Perfect size for two adults, perfect location to local dinning and attractions and close to the “L”. I would highly recommend!!!
I had zero issue with this property. Staying here is the very definition of “hassle-free”. I fully intend on renting this property again the next time I am in Chicago.
I spent an extended stay in Oak Park in this spacious studio apartment for work. The location was perfect. It's in a safe neighborhood and I was able to freely walk to work and the downtown area. There was an accumulation of snow one day, and everything was cleaned off nicely. The bathroom and kitchen were very nice. The apartment had everything that I needed to get by for more than two weeks. I loved having a code to get in all of the doors, without having to deal with a set of keys. I did leave one day and forgot to lock it, not realizing that you needed to put in the code again to lock it, but that was my fault. I assumed that it locked on its own and didn't verify that before I left.
I would say that my only complaint would be the apartment noise and the heat. The heating was a little tricky, as the thermostat was hard to understand. I didn't bother the owner with this, but it did take me a while to find how I could get some heat to the apartment. Maybe a little pamphlet or instruction guide would be great for other renters. The noise was a little hard to get used to. The laundry room is right outside of the kitchen and if someone is doing laundry throughout the night it can be a bit noisy. People were running up and down the stairs and then the opening and shutting of the washer and dryer doors. It can be a little frustrating. Also, the noise from the apartment above me kept me up through the night on more than one occasion as well. If you are from Chicago and have lived in other apartments, this is pretty normal, but I haven't had neighbors in a really long time, and it was a little difficult to get used to. This wouldn't keep me from staying again, because I do know that every apartment that I lived in while in Chicago is pretty much the same way.
Overall it was a great stay. Thanks, Anne!

I love Oak Park! I grew up here, I'm raising a family here, and I own a cute little running/athletic boutique just down the street. I enjoy meeting people, but I'm also happy to give guests their space. I've traveled a lot of the world myself, and love adventure.
Why they chose this property
I can see the Hemingway Birthplace museum from my window as I type. We're so close to the very best of Oak Park. You can walk to shops, restaurants, Unity Temple, the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio, and so much more! If you're looking to go into the city, we're about 20-30 minutes by easy train ride or a 10-20 minute drive (depending on traffic). Chicago is very easy to access from here.
