Located at the gateway to South Lake Tahoe, you'll have quick access to South Lake Tahoe's amenities while avoiding the traffic and hassle of the downtown area: 12 minutes to the Lake and Heavenly Resort, 15 minutes to Sierra-at-Tahoe and 35 minutes to Kirkwood. Mountain biking and hiking trails are located just minutes from our doorstep.
The space
All furniture and mattresses are modern and new, ensuring a comfortable and restful stay. Kick back underneath huge trees after you finish your mountain and lake excursions.
Guests acknowledge their understanding of the following rules and conditions of renting this property.
GENERAL BOOKING
- Guests must be 25 years of age or older to book our home.
- No unapproved guests are allowed to stay at the home. Owner must be informed if temporary visitors are expected at any point during the stay. Unauthorized guests will be charged at a rate of $100/guest/night.
- NO PETS. Unauthorized pets will be charged at a rate of $100/pet/night + minimum $200 additional cleaning fee.
- Children under 2 years of age do not count towards the maximum occupancy limit.
- Our home is equipped with external security cameras.
VACATION RENTAL ORDINANCE
- Strict ordinances govern Lake Tahoe vacation rentals. Guests staying at a South Lake Tahoe rental must adhere to all City Ordinances. In addition to noise, trash disposal, and parking rules, maximum occupancy of 6 people and 4 cars cannot be exceeded under any circumstances. Temporary, non-overnight visitors are counted toward maximum occupancy limits. Fines of up to $2000 will be imposed by The City of South Lake Tahoe, without warning, for any violations.
- Absolutely NO parties, smoking or illegal drug usage allowed anywhere on the premises. A minimum additional cleaning fee of $400 will apply if there is any evidence of smoking or illegal drug usage.
- Failure to adhere to General Book and Vacation Rental Ordinance rules may result in immediate cancellation and forfeiture of remainder of rent + deposit.
NATURAL HAZARDS WAIVER:
Guest is hereby alerted to the fact that certain hazards, and unforeseen and/or unpredictable occurrences are inherent within the geographical location of the Tahoe Basin, including but not limited to those that arise from weather, altitude and/or being the natural habitat of wild animals. Guest agrees to hold Owner and/or its agents harmless in the event of any damage or injury to self or property, or to any additional persons staying with the Guest during this rental or any other person whomsoever in connection with the rental of the property that results from accident, injury, any effects of snow, ice, flood, defective construction, fire, theft, injury caused by contact with animals, and the like.
WINTER CONDITIONS
The driveway can become slippery and icy during the winter, and steepens towards the top entrance to the garage. Guests should be prepared to shovel and salt the driveway to ensure safe walking / driving conditions. We have contracted with a snow removal service which will clear the driveway once a day whenever the snowfall exceeds 4 inches. All other maintenance is guest's responsibility during the stay.
AMENITIES
Hot Tub. The Hot Tub is an optional, locked amenity, and is NOT guaranteed for any reservations unless specifically confirmed with the Hosts. Additional fees may be required to access the Hot Tub. Please check with the Hosts.
Childrens Play Structure. Guests are welcome to use the play structure at their own risk. Hosts do not make any warranties as to the safety or condition of the structure. Guests who are uncomfortable with the presence of the play structure are recommended to look for an alternative listing.
OTHER:
"Cleaning Fee" includes non-excessive house cleaning, snow removal if > 4 inches, restocking and Tahoe County Local Contact services. Extra fees may apply for any excessive cleaning or trash removal, ad-hoc snow removal, replacing moved furniture, hot tub usage, etc...
