Le Pied des Thûres - Family Chalet to host memorable moments!

## The space

We do not propose "any" chalet but "our family chalet", equipped for 8 to 10 people.
This Chalet is our main residence and we are very happy to be able to share it with you.

Whether you are with family or friends, in couple or up to ten, you will feel right at home! All the elements are there to refill your batteries, in an exotic setting open to nature. The large garden with trees and flowers adjoining our vegetable garden will put you in the best conditions to relax.

The Chalet spreads over 4 half-levels and 160m2 of living space includes:
- A large, warm and bright main room with a kitchen open to a spacious 80m2 living room with a wood stove to warm up those chilly summer evenings.
Our family kitchen is well equipped, you will find everything you need whether you are a “cordon bleu” or a “quick meal”.
- 3 terraces equipped to live to the rhythm of the sun: to the east for sunny breakfasts, to the south for convivial meals around the large table and barbecue, to the west to enjoy the sunset lights around a glass.
- 1 balcony (facing east, with access from one of the bedrooms), ideal for breakfasts in the sun and for lovers.
- 4 bedrooms (for up to 10 guests) with 4 double beds and 2 single beds (the 2 single beds being located on mezzanines).
- 2 bathrooms: one with a bathtub and the other one with a shower.
- A bicycle garage and private parking that can accommodate 3 to 4 vehicles.
- A large and green garden (1000 m²) in which your children can have fun at will (a sandbox and a few toys are available).


Our "PLUS":
- Bed linen and household linen (tea towels, bathmats) are provided. The beds will be made on your arrival. The bathroom linen is also provided
- Baby equipment is available on request and in advance (cot, highchair, stroller).
- Some beautiful green salads are at your disposal in the vegetable garden.

## Guest access

The whole chalet is at your disposal.
We keep closed some small spaces and some cupboards in which we store our personal belongings.

## Guest interaction

We will welcome you at your arrival and we will be available all your stay long, since we are 5 minutes away from the Chalet.
Do not hesitate to ask us for the "good tips" of the region.

## The neighborhood

DISCOVER THE AREA:
The chalet is located on the edge of the Grande Randonnée trail (GR5), so you can start on foot for a walk to the Col des Thures, the Aiguille Rouge, the Balcons de Névache path or the Vallée Étroite valley.
You will find some maps and guides for walks in the area. We will be happy to advise you on our “favorite” itineraries for different walking levels.
Whether on foot or by bike, you can explore this magnificent Clarée Valley and its surroundings (legendary Cols of the Tour de France (Lautaret, Galibier, Izoard ...), Italy a few kilometers away via the Col de l'Echelle ...).

For a larger playground, many hiking trails, refuges and other mountain lakes await you in the Haute-Vallée de Névache. Access is by using the summer shuttles (from mid-July to mid-August only) or by car outside this period.

For passionates of History, you can discover Briançon (about twenty minutes by car from the Chalet) and its old town surrounded by Vauban fortifications, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

With children, rent a donkey for the day and go discover nature.

Sporty friends: rent bikes at the Névachais sports store and go exploring the beautiful Clarée.

SHOPPING & LOCAL FACILITIES:
- Near the chalet (on foot): a handy mini-market (with press), the famous Miellerie de Névache for the best local honey for morning gourmets, the village artisan chocolate-pastry chef, a tasty restaurant, a Spa & space relaxation as well as a laundry!
- "Public games" are also freely accessible about a hundred meters from the chalet, next to the school (swings, slide and more ...).
- Ville-Haute district (the old village) is a 30-minute walk away. Various shops and restaurants as well as the Tourist Office await you there. You will find there our local wood fire bakery.
It is also the gateway to Haute-Clarée: from mid-July to mid-August, Haute-Clarée is accessible by shuttle bus. A bus stop is accessible on foot from the chalet. The shuttle is free throughout the village and allows you to leave your car at the chalet. The access by shuttle bus to Haute Clarée is however not free.

To resume:
BY ROAD: at the edge of the Alps, the Clarée can be reached by:
- Italy via the Fréjus tunnel then the Col de l'Echelle (for people arriving from the Rhône, Savoy, Center, North, Switzerland ...)
- the Col du Lautaret (for people arriving from Isère in particular)
- the A51 motorway to Gap (for people arriving from the South)

BY RAILS: two possibilities are available to you:
- Briançon train station (direct access from Marseille with several daily trains and from Paris via a daily night train).
- the Italian train stations of Oulx and Bardonnechia a few kilometers away from the chalet are on the TGV Paris-Milano line (with a stop in Lyon in particular). A shuttle connects Briançon and the TGV station of Oulx for each train departure and arrival (ticket to be taken online, in advance).

BY AIR:
- Turin-Caselle airport is the closest.
- Lyon St-Exupéry, Grenoble-Isère and Marseille-Provence are also alternatives.
