This is a Fabulous house you will have all to yourselves as guests, private home, on a huge lot, with 3,000 square feet of living space, FOUR BEDROOM , THREE BATH, WITH PRIVATE SWIMMING POOL and large patio and very nice pool table in what many consider to be the best location in Bakersfield, the Northwest!! The Northwest part of town has so much to offer! This property is an amazing house in a neighborhood that has nothing but custom homes! You will enjoy the refreshing beautiful pool, huge yard with big patio and gorgeous mature trees! I also just completed a remodel in June, 2019! Enjoy the very nice pool table, washer and dryer, everything you will need for a great trip are right here waiting for you! Three bedrooms with very comfortable queen-size beds, and one king-sized bed in the Master! There is a bathroom with shower downstairs (the only downstairs bathroom), a bathroom upstairs with a bathtub, and a third bathroom, also with a bath and shower combination upstairs. This house is Not handicapped accessible. Obviously from the pictures, it has stairs. The house has multiple sitting areas, including a large Built-in-bar, as well as a bar area in the kitchen, with several barstools at each! This house and the wonderful neighborhood is close to tons of shopping, restaurants, parks, golfing! You’ll love it!! You will love the living areas, where smaller groups can gather and visit, and everyone can be in a comfortable spot, or the living room and separate family room areas are both very large! There is a new Roku TV in both the living room and in the family room. The Wi-Fi in the house works great! Also, along with sofas and chairs, in the extra large family room, there is a beautiful fireplace, and in the very large living room, there is a pool table! This house is not handicapped accessible.

Fun weekend

The owner Laura is the absolute sweetest! She was very quick to respond and communicated with us every step of the way. She was very accommodating as well. Gorgeous home in quiet, safe neighborhood

This home exceeded our expectations! It is located in a cute neighborhood, with many shops and grocery stores just a few miles away. The home itself was clean, updated, and had all of the necessities (plus thoughtful extras!). The kids loved the pool and large backyard. We enjoyed the patio, pool table, and adorable bar area. This home truly has something for everyone. We had a group of 8 and there was more than enough room for everyone to be comfortable. Laura was great to work with. We will definitely be staying here next time we travel through town! Thanks Laura! We love your home!

Great pool house for the buck

Check in process was super easy the home is very spacious. The pool and pool table make it great fun for the family. The lighting was a bit tricky as it is an older house but host communicated emmedialty and I was able to figure it out.

Perfect Getaway

Laura was so amazing to us. We got canceled on the day of and she was very accommodating with getting us in her home . Everything was very clean and beautiful. The pool was amazing! Laura texted within minutes whenever we asked questions. I would definitely be staying here again . Thanks so much Laura you were very welcoming and made us feel right at home you are truly an amazing woman !

Okay but could be a lot better

House is old and needs lots of repairs/updates/cleaning. Could be very nice rental even if it were just thoroughly cleaned inside/out including some minor repairs. But owner very nice and easy to reach unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be back.

Laura is the sweetest

My wife, baby, and I love this house. This home is huge and beautiful with so many amenities. We really enjoyed the pool table and the pool. The back yard is also fun. The house was very clean and tidy. It has clearly been kept up well and upgraded often. We enjoyed the upstairs tub too! The neighborhood is cute and quiet and the neighbors are so friendly! So many waves and hellos and even a couple of conversations with them. The host is very kind, gave useful information, and leaves goodies. She went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our stay and had everything we needed. Thank you Laura! We hope to stay here whenever we come to Bakersfield.

Covid Changes Plan

After canceling out our prior planned trip to San Francisco, I wanted a place to spend time with my Son's family in his town. This property worked out well for all of us. plenty of room, parking and options for inside and outside as well. Nice swimming pool and outdoor seating. Shaded property for outdoor visiting. Nice to drink coffee and watch the Hummingbird hover under the porch roof. Pool table, televisions and lots of board games helped deal with Covid reduced entertainment options. We would book again.

Quarantine Heaven

We have a large family and had a perfect time at Laura’s place. Very spacious and beautiful. We’re able to wash towels for the pool also. Minor things: no cookie sheets (we like to bake) and needed a few more hand towels for the bathrooms, but we made it work. The kids had a blast! Laura was very accommodating to any of our questions or concerns. Loved the pool of course and pool table!

Wonderful Stay at a Beautiful Home

I don't usually write reviews, but I was so pleased with my stay at Laura's house, that I felt compelled to do so. It is very obvious she cares a lot about her home and the guests who get to stay there. We were greeted with bright light, homey yet modern decor, and a nice open floor plan that we loved. The feel of this house is just great. It was stocked with everything we needed to make our stay pleasant and comfortable, which was a nice escape in a difficult time. We enjoyed sitting on the fireplace and laughing and enjoyed some quiet time and fresh air (and very beautiful backyard) outside on the patio. There is a cute little convenience store walking distance away that we enjoyed walking to and grabbing some extra snacks and things. The area is just very quiet and safe and was such a nice respite. Laura was most helpful with all of our questions and the check in process with smooth and easy- which I really appreciated. The three beds we used were super comfortable and the shower was very comfortable as well and stocked with what we needed, which was a good thing, as we forgot to bring a lot of things we usually do. I thank you for your kind words, and stellar accommodations, and would not hesitate to stay at Laura's beautiful home again.

Dirty, rundown, and safety issues

The owner allowed my brother to check in approx 45 mins before the 3 o’clock check in which was nice but unfortunately they arrived to a house that was beautiful on the outside and in a great neighborhood but extremely run down and filthy on the inside. Issues included no smoke detector (just bare wires hanging down from where it should have been installed), non working front door that we were told we could not lock so we had to rely on our screen door, no clean towels anywhere and then when we found the towels in the laundry shoot we had to wash them ourselves and they looked like rags that you dry a car with, one roll of toilet paper for the whole house, no trash cans , used bars of soap and toiletries in the bathrooms, mildew and mold in the shower to the point we had to wear shower shoes, bags of trash from previous renter left in the kitchen cabinets, extremely poor beds and linens, filthy walls, floors, bathrooms, air vents, and kitchen appliances, no instructions for how anything works, broken light fixtures, broken fridge, non working hot tub, only a handful of bed pillows, writing on some of the walls. Etc. There is also a house cat that calls this place home which is a problem because my brother is severely allergic and the ad says no pets. We emailed the owner and she did have someone bring over toilet paper, paper towels and trash cans the next afternoon but we had already gone out to buy our own at that point because 8 people in one house need toilet paper. My brother also called the owner to express our concerns about the home but unfortunately the owner was dismissive and hung up on him. When we called VRBO to voice our concerns they said they would give us money to buy a portable smoke detector, new lock for the front door, air filter and cleaning supplies. However, that is ridiculous we were in town to be with my sister in the ICU and did not bring tools nor did we think that it was our responsibility to take care of those items. Conditions were so poor we actually checked out earlier and paid additional money for a hotel...the Fairfield Inn was clean, new and very nice. I understand that the owner lives out of town and initially was nice but she needs to hire a better housekeeper and stock the home with quality towels, linens, etc. These conditions did not take place from one missed appt. as she stated was the reason for dirty towels, lack of supplies etc. Thanks,
