Beautiful location
Beautiful views, lovely country cottage. Was raining every day didn't get to explore much around, but its December and I wasn't expecting any different. It was peaceful and relaxing. Totally recommend specially in the summer time. Looking forward to visit again next summer. Thank you very much.

Stunning cottage in a perfect location
This is the perfect getaway retreat for anyone looking to enjoy the wonders of the Connemara landscape. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped but the privacy and the surroundings are standout. We spent our time just sitting outside, swimming and paddle boarding from the sheltered private beach. And then admiring the stunning views from the huge windows. A real treat!

What a stunning location!
Stunning location! The property is well equipped, clean and comfortable but not luxurious; scheduling bathrooms because of limited power to electric shower heaters was amusing. The private beach is a novelty but the approach lane is particularly rough for a vehicle with less than average ground clearance. The location on a sunny day is unbeatable, we'd return for that.

Magical!
What an incredible location, I went to paint and just had to open the door to see the most amazing views. We had a wonderful week in this delightful cottage, not to mention our private beach.

Terrific Location
This place was exactly what we wanted. Gorgeous location and views. Beach down the road is very walkable. Lots to see in Connemara. Only two of us, but there was lot of room for more. Living room had stellar views and was quite cozy. Would definitely stay here again.

Truly Spectacular
Cottage 101 Moyard is located at the meeting point of sea, sky, and the steep hills of Connemara. Staying there is an extraordinary experience. We drank morning coffee while sheep grazed in the fields around the house; we built a rock cairn above the sandy crescent of its private beach as a fishing boat passed; and we cooked ourselves a lavish holiday dinner in its efficient kitchen. Bedrooms and bathrooms are cottage-sized and comfortable. The gravel road was no problem for our rented Opel. We were there in late December, and it was lovely to sit in front of the crackling fireplace as a cold rain or hail tapped against the windows. And when the sun came back, the old stone out-buildings shone photogenically. There are dozens of magical tourist destinations within a short drive, including the mountain hikes of Connemara National Park, Kylemore Abbey, a megalithic stone tomb, ocean-facing cliffs, quaint harbors and cute Connemara towns, the sites of the landing place of the first trans-Atlantic flight and first trans-Atlantic telegraph station, craft shops, astounding vistas, and of course great food, drink, and friendly Irish craic. We felt lucky indeed for the experience!

Such a stunning location! Must be fab in Summer!
The house is down a long rural farm lane, must have been close to a kilometer long. We had difficulties on arrival as our car was so laden down, with the packed roof box and all that we were catching the grassy centre of the lane too much, so myself and the dogs and kids walked the rest. Was grand tho as we needed to stretch our legs at that stage. The views at the house are just stunning!! I took so many photos of the beautiful mountains. We were so delighted to to have been able to go on hols as a whole family too, us and our dogs, my parents and their dogs too! It's so hard to get a holiday house that allows more than two dogs and we were do thankful to have found this house. The house was very well kitted out with lots of accessories needed. We did struggle with the oven as we didn't understand the symbols on it, we should have googled it, but we muddled thru. There is a working farm shed right behind the house, so you have to supervise the dogs outside at all time, as they can get access to it. The private beach is stoney at high tide, but there's a fab expanse of sand when the tide goes out, which I can imagine would be just perfect in warm weather. And I there is a round stone beach too, a couple of kilometres walk down the road from the end of the lane, called Ross beach, its on Google maps. There is a tiny parking area and if you walk all the way to the end of the grass track, there's a metal viewing bench and a bit of sand at low tide we were able to let the dogs run on as it was enclosed. People had arrived to go sea swimming the day we were there as the water was lovely calm and sheltered there. Glassilaun beach and Omey Island beach are both decently close and are amazing big beaches for your afternoon walks, or your summer days out. The shops are about 20 mins away. Letterfrack has really decent little supermarket, I'd say only a tiny bit smaller than the Supevalu in Clifden, and just as well stocked. And of course Clifden has Lidl and Aldi too. In Clifden is one of my favourite places in the whole of the West - Walshes Bakery!! Their coffee cream slices were so fresh and delicious and their bottom baked bread is to die for and I dream about it all year long!!

Magical
I hesitate to write this review - I don't want the secret to get out! The setting of this lovely and cozy and well-equipped cottage is nothing short of spectacular. I you are looking for a getaway where you can enjoy the peace, majesty, and tranquility of Connemara while only being 20 minutes from all the necessary and lovely amenities of Clifden, this is the place. The grounds are well-maintained and the beach is basically all to yourself. The house is well appointed with comfortable sofas and chairs, a perfect-sized kitchen, and en-suites for 2 of the 3 bedrooms. There's a lot of history in the place, and you can feel it along with the beauty of the sea and inspiration of the mountains in the distance.

Phenomenal location
If you are looking for the perfect getaway far off the beaten paths and the buzz of cities like Galway or Clifden, then you found it. Only a few minutes outside of Letterfrack, after leaving the paved roads, crossing through a gate, you arrive at a secluded location with stunning views to the east, surrounded by water from multiple sides. The cottage is not the star of this ensemble, yet clean and cozy. It is well equipped and has a very nice living room with large windows to soak in even the last views at sunset. But the real star is the private beach. It is perfectly suited for relaxing as well as for kids who will love the soft sand on the beach as well as the big meadow around the cottage...

You wont find a better location!
This little haven is just out of this world. If you want to get away from it all look no further. The service from Love Connemara Cottages was fantastic and the cottage owners are such lovely people, nothing was any trouble...not that we had to trouble them for anything but if we did we knew that it would be sorted. We will be back again :-) Thank you, Siobhan & Mick

A hidden gem!
We absolutely loved our stay here. The cottage is a hidden gem with outstanding views. If you are looking for tranquility, this is your place. The cottage itself had everything we needed and was spotless. The private beach was the icing on the cake. Cannot wait to return!

Tranquil escape
The location of the place is superb, small and safe private beach, surrounded by wild and beautiful Connemara countryside. The cottage itself is basic, but that is part of the charm. Kitchen was well equipped, sitting room cosy, plenty of space in the bedrooms. Mattresses were hard and you could feel the springs, so a mattress toppers could easily solve this issue, a good night sleep is VITAL for relaxing and this is reflected in value for money score. Also the cottage was quite damp in general, but that is often a natural feature in old buildings by the sea. Overall we had amazing break and most definitely would like to return.

Heaven on Earth
This place is a hidden gem......this is our second visit and it won't be our last. Not much has been done to the house since I first stayed in 2008 so it could do with a bit of updating, especially in the kitchen. The beds are comfy, the towels are white and fluffy and the heating works well. The WIFI is excellent. The open fire really makes this house cosy as is much needed due to the ever changing weather conditions in Ireland! All in all I would highly recommend Moyard 101 and our little doggies loved it too!

Magnificent location
One of the most beautiful locations I have stayed in, we had a great holiday. Grandchildren loved the beach for sandcastle building before bedtime. The house is basic but with spectacular views and it has everything needed on holidays. Beds were comfortable and wifi was very good. Surrounded by sea and mountains. Perfect. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic location away from it all. Scenery is second to none and one would never get tired of just sitting by the fire looking out . Great location to explore Clifden and Galway. Really enjoyed staying here and will return .

Another great holiday!
The superb location of the cottage and the beautiful surroundings yet again made our stay most enjoyable. The fact that we were in quarantine meant we scarcely ventured outside the cottage grounds, but we didn't really need to!. In spite of some inclement weather we were very cosy and comfortable, and made the best of the warmth and sunshine we did have on the beach and in the water. Thank-you to Patrick for looking after us.

It’s all about the location
Stunning views and your own beach make this the most amazing place. It is in a very rural location on a farm - no shops or pubs for 6km. Perfect for reflection- you have water on 3 sides, a view of the 12 bens, Tully mountain and Ballinakill harbour. There’s an ever changing light show from sunrise to sunset. Lots of seabirds and clear skies for star gazing (weather permitting) The house is functional - don’t expect luxury- but it’s got all you need.
