Plantations at Princeville, located within the Princeville Resort on Kauai's lush North Shore, is a beautiful place to relax and unwind. This complex, which overlooks the Makai Golf Course just steps away from a jogging path, features such shared amenities as a swimming pool, a hot tub, a fitness center, and a grilling area. You'll be just a few minutes from the St. Regis (one mile), charming downtown Hanalei (four miles), and all of the beautiful beaches that the North Shore has to offer. The Princeville Shopping Center is within walking distance as well. Nearby activities include horseback riding, golf, parasailing, hiking, zip line adventures, and helicopter rides.

Nice Property

This condo worked great for our family of 5. Just a couple things to be aware of:- condo backs onto fairly busy road where lanai sits. Although there is a nice tall hedge that provides privacy but not too tall that blocks wonderful views of mountains, there is some road noise,- second bedroom does not have air conditioning vents(weird), but windows open and allow cooling off in evening.Great kitchen and bathrooms!

Beautiful base for all of our explorations of the area.

The home was very light and airy. The view out the window was extraordinary, And although you definitely would want a car to get around the area, the location worked very well for us.

Awesome Views

House was well equipped and beautiful. Patio had a beautiful view, private and confortable. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars was the 2nd bedroom was not ducted with air conditioning.

Very nice place

This condo was confortable for a family of 5. It was very well equipped and located on a quiet street. We had everything for the beach which was super efficient. The only tiny down side is the terrasse is situated on a busy street but we manage to eat outside anyway. With the A/C on you can’t hear anything. I would definitely go back.

Beautiful Mountain Views!

Great town house, beautiful views, great garage, fully stocked kitchen, beach chairs, towels, cooler and great location. We enjoyed our stay here. A few things that weren’t so great- the king bed squeaked like crazy until my husband fixed it by reinstalling the slats. The non stick pans need to be replaced, it needs some fresh paint in areas, the place mats need to be replaced, and finally we were told there was an operable gym with a bike. When we got there the gym was being painted and the fumes made it impossible to healthily work out. There was not a bike and the elliptical didn’t work. Luckily Vacasa reimbursed us for what we had to spend on the local gym. All in all we enjoyed our stay and didn’t have any major complaints that reduced our enjoyment of our stay in Kauai. The gym was a downer as my kids are professional athletes and needed to keep up on their fitness.

Charming condo in princeville

Great value for the place. Clean, modern and perfect location. The only complaint was that the pool was small and hot tub was not warm—when traveling with kids that is important.

Birthday Weekend!

We came over from Oahu to celebrate my birthday and also to compete in the Hana Lei Bay Swim on Saturday. Everything was absolutely perfect!!! The house was immaculate and worked out perfect for us!

Awesome place

The condo was perfect! The location was great and the view of the mountains every morning was amazing. The condo had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Lots of cooking wear and dishes. We used the beach towels, chairs, cooler and umbrella. It is a five star rating!

Wonderful

Delightful Stay… beautiful area and condo, well appointed, equipped and super clean. Views of the golf course and mountains were wonderful. No need for alarm clocks as chickens serve as your morning wake up. Beach chairs, cooler, and umbrellas were a bonus. Would definitely stay again. Every beach and little town were what you want from a Hawaii vacation. Prepare for an amazing and unforgettable visit.

Relaxing Stay

The property was great. Had breakfast on the lanai each morning. Beautiful landscaping and fun birds joined us each day. One problem, we had to call the neighborhood security twice as the upstairs residents had a loud party until 1:30 AM on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. They were responsive and not really the fault of the condo owner but worth noting.

Loved everything about our stay!!

The plantation at Princeville property met and exceeded all of our expectations!! The view of the golf course and mountains was gorgeous. It was in walking distance to Queen’s bath. We enjoyed playing tennis at the golf club. It was close to princeville shopping center and a short drive to Hanalie bay. The property itself was clean and had every single amenity we could possibly imagine. It was lovely. The A/C was wonderful too. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Beautiful scenery, spacious and bright home!

The home itself was clean and spacious and very well priced for the value it brought to our trip!! We especially loved the mountain and golf course views from the living room and backyard. It was well located and felt very safe and quiet. The only issue we had was during our check-in — the smart lock on the door was having issues where the bolt would not unlock even though we were using the correct code. It took a while to get through to Vacasa customer service, but eventually they were able to give us another code to a lockbox with the spare key, and we had to use that to get in and out of the property since the smart lock was malfunctioning.

The place is beautifully furnished, clean and the location and view is prime. The internet was excellent and it was a nice place to stay for a month in Kauai. The fitness center and pool were great and added to our stay. The second bedroom did not have air and it got warm for sleeping, even when we kept blinds closed each day. Also, we were prepared the the road noise in back from previous posts, but were not prepared from the very loud noise from just walking from upstairs neighbors and outdoor conversations from next building neighbors when they were out on their decks and we were trying to sleep in the master bedroom, windows closed, late at night and early in the mornings. Overall, the place had more positives and Princeville is a great place to be!

Not as it seems.

PROS: -Great location -Garage stall was a plus -The beach chairs, towels etc... was a great addition -Spacious and a lot of natural lighting -The view was nice -Working central air CONS: -The door code provided did not work. Had to call Vasca customer service for assistance. They provided the key lock box code to use the physical key to get in. -The beds are HARD. Not firm. HARD and uncomfortable. -The pillows were musty and smelled of the previous renters or that they have not been washed. -The pillows were not comfortable. They were worn in and flat. -The master toilet seat was broken and in every use it would slide around and move. Because of this, we did not use it and had to use the bathroom on the other side of the condo. -The white towels were stained with yellow coloring. -The couch was slightly broken as it sunk in. -The busy main road is right in front of the patio, so constant sounds of cars driving by making it not so relaxing. -The cleaner entered the property 10 minutes before checkout time while we were still there with one knock without waiting and letting themselves in. Uncomfortable and not OK. Overall, there are comparable rentals nearby in the same price range that I wish I would have gone with instead of this rental due to the busy road noise, hard bed, and easy fixes that were overlooked by management in turn creating a bad experience for our honeymoon.

Not ready for prime time but good space for families

This is the 5th condo we have stayed in on Kauai. It was a new listing with no reviews so we knew it could be a little bumpy. The space itself is large and laid out pretty well for a family. It's just not quite ready to be a rental. I had to ask for a beach umbrella, plastic plates and cups (to use by pool), laundry baskets, and a drying rack. They were able to provide everything except the drying rack (which meant I had to hang wet towels and laundry on chairs and stools). They also hooked up a DVD player at my request and brought some boogie boards and sand toys for the kids. I did report to them that the threshhold where the carpet meets the tile was coming up and sharp to step on. They said the carpet was being replaced soon but did not put down tape as requested. Also, the kitchen has termites and there were always droppings on the kitchen counter which management only took note of. It was just gross to wipe up every day and not be able to prepare food there. Once they get done what they need to get done this will be a nice rental for a family. For the current price it's totally fine, but know you may need to ask for things and also that it's all a little worse for wear than shown in the pics. OTHER CONS: The unit is right next to the main road so it is noisy with doors/widows open and is not a nice lanai to relax on. Also, the main room doesn't really have a couch. It's a day bed with a pull-out trundle, so it's kinda weird to sit on. PROS: Large space. Two bathrooms (one with a tub). Local management is very responsive and friendly. (Contact them, not the main Vacasa.) Well-equipped kitchen with lots of new and clean tools. Nice welcome basket with fresh fruit and treats. POOL: close-by the unit. Perfectly fine condo shared-pool situation.
