Cottage on Inverness Bay!

This is a unique opportunity to experience an Inverness cottage of your own. It is located on six acres stretching along the beginning of Tomales Bay. Enjoy gardens, flowers, orchard, marshes and year-round creek. There is an abundant variety of birds and wildlife.

Tomales Bay is at your back door, providing endless vistas of beauty and interest. Enjoy the ever-changing flow of water and quality of light. As the tide rises, take in the reflection of sky and rolling hills from the opposite shore, or the full moon rising over Black Mountain. The views are expansive.

As the tide recedes, watch for the variety of birds foraging for food along the shore, or footprints of deer as they move through the area. You may enjoy the view from the living room, outdoor deck, or sitting at the edge of the bay.

The cottage is approximately 3 miles from the Point Reyes National Seashore visitor Center, and just 2 miles from the town of Inverness.

Another great stay at the cottage!

This was my second time staying at this bayside cottage for a little getaway out in Point Reyes. the first time was so great that I was determined to do it again. Now, after this latest visit I am even more inclined to take advantage of this wonderful place!

Perfect getaway on the Bay!

Louise's cottage is a fantastic place to stay for exploring the Point Reyes Seashore and area. It was very clean and well equipped and turned out to be even bigger than it looks in the photos, which is all too frequently not the case... Despite being situated on the main road, it offers plenty of quiet time that makes it easy to hear the birdsong in the mornings and early evenings due to also being right on the bay and marsh. It is on a sizable piece of land with incredible views. Comfy, clean and well equipped - so nice I'm a little hesitant to rave about it and possibly make it more difficult for booking return trips now that I've discovered it!

Charming cottage with beautiful views

My husband and I have been coming to Tomales Bay for 30 plus years and this is one of the best places we've stayed. The location is perfect for hiking and bird watching and Louise is a fabulous host. We had mixed up our reservation and she worked with us very quickly to resolve it. She is a super communicator!

Quiet bayside experience

Our second visit to this wonderful cottage. Incredibly quiet and peaceful, with views of herons, egrets, and geese on the lower reaches of Tomales Bay. Nicely located, with both nature and “civilization” (e.g restaurants and retail) within easy reach. The cottage itself is well-equipped, tidy, and with excellent natural lighting. We look forward to returning.

Comfort and Beauty

Louise's cottage is lovely, and this location is incredibly special. The property is on 6 acres of mostly marshland. There are many places to sit and enjoy beautiful views, from the cozy living room couch to the bench at the end of a boardwalk in the marsh. Lovely deck as well. Note: before you sit on the deck chairs, check for small frogs that like to hang out on them, sometimes under the cushions :-). As someone else noted, it would be easy to stay here enjoying the gardens and marsh and never get out to the Point Reyes trails. But there are many gems nearby. It's an easy drive out to Limantour to walk by the ocean, or to the swimming beaches in Tomales Bay State Park. The house is perfect for a solo retreat or couple's getaway. The bed is very comfortable, and the full kitchen makes it easy to cook as much or as little as you want to. Inverness Park Market has great takeout options. Louise was very communicative. I look forward to coming back to her cottage.

Secluded Cottage on the bay

Great secluded cottage with great views to the east, lots of birds, deer visit regularly and very relaxing. Close to hiking trails, beaches restaurants, etc. we will be back!

Gorgeous Modern Cabin with Garden and Views

We stayed three nights to visit Point Reyes. The cabin met all our needs. It was comfortable and cozy and had a well-equipped kitchen. The property was beautiful, with stunning views of the marsh and birds. We want to return again.
