Are you looking for a mountain getaway that offers peace and tranquility, but is still close to all the action in the Smokies? Come stay a while at the Little Cove Cabin and find what you've been looking for!

Tucked away in a little cove in the woods, you can relax on the large front porch and watch the abundant wildlife around you or swing in the hammock in the front yard while listening to the babbling brook near by. Wild turkeys, raccoons, rabbits, foxes, coyotes, and even an occasional catamount and black bear have all been seen here!

Relax on the large front porch, or fish for rainbow and speckled trout in the bold creek just down the road. In the evenings, you can roast marshmallows at the fire pit where you can sometimes hear an old Barred Owl hooting in the trees nearby. Take a long stroll up the East Fork creek where 100+ year old farm houses, grazing horses and cattle, and rustic old barns and silos whisper the stories from a bye gone era.

Newly renovated, this romantic little A-Frame log cabin has all the modern comforts of home while maintaining the rustic nostalgia of a cozy little cabin in the woods! The cabin has a queen-sized bed in the downstairs bedroom and a second queen-sized bed in the loft bedroom. A fully equipped kitchen and separate laundry room have everything you will need for your stay. The cabin also has wireless internet access throughout and a flat screen HDTV with Directv programming. Outside, there is a gas grill, dining table and plenty of seating for enjoying meals outside. Also, our 6 person hot tub is perfect for a relaxing soak after a long day of fun in the mountains. There is also a short hiking trail behind the cabin that leads to a romantic little spot to sit and relax near a mountain stream. It's also a great place to walk the dog and enjoy the wild rhododendron and mountain laurel that cover the banks along the trail.

Conveniently located only 10 minutes from the charming town of historic Dillsboro and 15-20 minutes from Sylva, Franklin, and Western Carolina University. The towns of Cherokee and Waynesville are just a 30 minute or less drive away.

If your looking for a cozy place to relax, decompress, and get back to nature, you will find everything you're looking for in the Little Cove!

Great stay!

There are only positive things to say about our stay. The cabin fit our needs perfectly for our visit to the Sylva and Waynesville areas. The setting is lovely, easy to find, and feels nice and secluded. The home was inviting and clean. The hosts were very attentive and helpful. I would return for another trip and would hopefully have more time to hang out longer and use the hot tub.

We had the best stay. We arrived after dark and it was so well lit and easy to find. The space is so cozy and clean. We made some amazing memories and the kids asked to come back soon.

Perfect For Two

Wow! What a great cabin! Very clean and close to town! A buddy and me stayed here! We truly enjoyed it for two nights! The hot tub was perfect after exploring around the cute little towns near the cabin! Highly Recommend it!

A Great Stay!

Close to shops and restaurants is Dillsboro and Sylva. Close to the Smoky Mountains National Park. Beautiful setting and comfortable stay. Had everything we needed for a great stay.

Long weekend away from the Florida heat!

Great location on places where we wanted to visit. House was very clean and private! Quite area and nice hot tub! We will definitely come back and rent this place again!

Thanksgiving Get-Away

The perfect cozy little cabin. Two adults and a teenager, just getting away for a bit. It was perfect… we didn’t have any plans upon arrival, just played out each day as it came. We drove through the national park, where we saw a lot of elk, and then drove up through the clouds into snow flurries. We rode the train along the river… beautiful scenery all around! Enjoyed evenings in the hot tub!

Cabin Getaway

Great Cabin

The A-frame cabin is awesome. It’s clean and well appointed. Our host was wonderful. She answered questions promptly and made the check in/out super easy. Location was perfect. Nestled into the quiet hill with a babbling stream beside it but just a 2 miles from 441 and tons of things to see and do. We’ll be back.

Little Slice of Heaven in the Mountains

Very easy check in process. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and atmosphere in the mountains were serene. The s’mores kit the host left was a special treat that we absolutely loved. We enjoyed the hot tub and the nightly lightning bugs that visited us. Also loved the creek that was running through the property that you could always hear, very peaceful!

Weekend Getaway

This cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway with 2 young kids. Quiet, cozy, and clean. We loved the personal touches (welcome note, and smores kit). The worst part was our trip was too short!

Great hide away, very peacful.

My wife and I meet my daughter there because she is attending WCU. Had lots of fun because close to a lot of hiking. We also enjoyed The fire pit, and made some provided smores. Would diffently go back, and recommend to others.

Cute and Cozy!

We had a great time staying at the Little Cove Cabin! The hosts left little personal touches for us and the cabin was located very close to cute areas and shops! The bed was comfy, kitchen had just about everything we needed and the hot tub was amazing! Our pup enjoyed exploring the wooded area surrounding us and the star gazing at night was beautiful! Would definitely come back again!

Relaxation station

This cabin is absolutely adorable! Tucked away on the mountain top this weekend getaway was everything my partner, pup, and I needed. We loved being able to vacation and still bring our fur baby along for the ride. We adored the views not only from the cabin but from the hot tub as well. The hosts were great at communicating and really made the cabin welcoming for us when we arrived. We definitely look forward to coming back to this location!

This place was a great respite for anyone looking to take a small step back from society. You can easily just hang at the cabin or travel a short distance to hit more popular scenic spaces. Our pups enjoyed being along for the ride. :)

Subzero temps, nice warm cabin!

A cozy and quiet spot. Had a great time. Even caught Santa(neighbor up the hill) on his way out for Christmas Eve! My Son was so excited! Lots to see and do not far away. So many waterfalls! Happy New Year!

Cottage escape.

The property owner/manager was amazing. At last moment we decided to board our puppy before going and a prompt refund was issued for the pet fee. On our arrival, a personalized message was waiting for us as well as a unique smore kit waiting in a basket to be enjoyed. The upstairs loft bedroom was open to magnificent views overlooking the mountains on both sides. The bottom bedroom was completely dark and quiet making it easy to sleep and completely rest (more than I can remember in ages). The location was convenient to many beautiful hiking areas and the owner had a book that listed several area attractions as well as needed locations for daily living. We had hard rain while there a couple of days but the mountain road-way stayed navigable for the journey up the mountain. We left totally relaxed after our stay and would highly recommend this escape to others for a needed break. I cannot recall a better Valentines weekend.

Wonderful stay!!

My wife and I had an amazing stay at Little Cove Cabin! It is in a very nice area and has so many nice features. We greatly enjoyed the hottub, and there was a fire pit, grill, hiking trail, and so much more. We even saw 26+ turkeys walking around outside. Thank you Kim for being a awesome host!!

Short stay

The cabin was really nice. Communication with the owner was really good. It was in a good location for the hikes we did and the Christmas tree lot we went to. We had everything we needed and the hot tub was wonderful! Would stay here again for sure.

My husband and I live and work in Sylva and are busy parents to our 4 children. My husband works for the phone company and I am a potter that enjoys playing in the mud all day. We feel very blessed to be able to live and raise our children in these beautiful mountains.

Why they chose this property

This property has been in my family for over 100 years. Growing up in Maryland, I have many fond childhood memories of my family's regular visits to the mountains and staying in the Little Cove. Playing in the woods and catching crawdads in the creek with my brother were some of my favorite things to do.

Originally built in the 1970's, the aging Little Cove cabin was in need of some serious TLC. As a result, my husband and I began a 2 year 'rebuild'. The result was a brand new home with the nostalgic charm of an old mountain A-Frame cabin. We are proud of the hard-work and love we've poured into this cabin and hope that many families will now make special memories of their own in the Little Cove.
