Great vacation, wonderful place to stay with all the accomodations. Signage was a little confusing on the property but once we figured it out all was well!
We had a wonderful experience from booking to check out! The location was absolutely perfect, walking distance to beach, pool, baytowne wharf, a mile from outlets and close to Ben and Jerry's (what more could you want?!) We had a beautiful view from the balcony and the condo was clean and spacious. Definitely booking here in the future.
The property was as promised. The room is dated and needs some fresh paint and carpet (stained badly) but the location and amenities were great. Great pool and a very short walk to the ocean. Had it not been for the stained carpet we might have rated cleanliness at a 5 too.
Location was good, never had a hair dryer delivered to our room, mattress was terrible. It also comes with very few amenities so bring extra toilet paper.
My husband and I enjoyed our week long stay at this property. It has a beautiful view of the pool and you can still see the beach from the balcony. The walk to the beach only takes about 5 minutes. We spent most of our time at the pool because the beach is very crowded this time of the year. We loved everything about the pool area. Just an fyi, take your own beach towels, toilet paper (you get one roll), regular coffee filters if you want to make coffee, all of your personal toiletries and laundry detergent. It was very nice having a stackable washer and dryer in the condo. We were able to park in the covered parking area all week, but it does get crowded at times. Finally, make sure you check out the skyview from the 11th floor. It is very beautiful. :)
Room was dated, carpet had multiple stains and needs to be replaced. Only had 1 dish towel. Other than that it was clean and in a great location. Very nice pool.
Great location! Owner was very responsive and great to work with. Unit had everything we needed, but just needs a good deep cleaning (AC vents have blown dusk on walls and ceilings, carpet needs steam cleaned). Thanks for the wonderful time and sending help to fix the ceiling fan, door, kitchen light and bathroom door. You have a great team working for you and were very quick to fix our minor issues, I greatly appreciate this!
My friend and I had stayed in the Luau Towers in Summer of 2021. In the prior year we loved the resort and its ammenties it came with (mainly tram services and discounted beach chairs). Upon our arrival about 5 I noticed I had not gotten an email for the door code. I called the property manager, Ashley, who was less than pleasant to speak with. She stated she sent them at 11 and I needed to check my email. I told her I already had and she was very disgruntled about having to re-send me the code. In the age of technology there are always some minor issues, but her attitude from the beginning was less than kind. When we arrived in the room it appeared rather clean and well kept. That evening, my friend and I went to do a load of laundry when we realized that that the screen on the back of the dryer was busted out and sitting on top of the dryer. The remainder of the stay several under garments and bathing straps would get caught in the screen. It was rather annoying. We also did a few loads of dishes and noticed that there was standing water in the bottom of the dishwasher. It did not effect the way it worked, but I would imagine it will cause a problem here shortly.
The beds were absolutely awful. I personally slept on the pull out mattress in the living room. It was so old I could feel the springs and the metal bar through the mattress. I had to be the most uncomfortable thing I had ever slept on. We paid over $2,000 for this room. I would have expected a mattress that was a little newer.
On the second day we chose to go to Baytown Warf via the tram service. After all, we chose to stay in the Resort where their website advertises the tram service an the ad for this room advertised it was in the Resort. The tram driver asked for our room keys in which we responded we did not have any, but that we must have overlooked them. He took us over so we could breakfast. Coming back we were not so lucky. We were told that since we didn't have a room key we could not get on. Frustrating, but we managed to get an Uber. I called Ashley and asked her what the deal was with the room keys. I assumed we just overlooked them. She proceeded to tell me we were not in fact part of the Resort and our room did not come with access to the tram service. I am appalled that the ad for the room would not mention that it did not come with Resort amenities. Ubers the remainder of the stay cost us over $400. This entire ordeal ruined our trip, no care to Ashley.
It was lovely and beautiful we most definitely did not want to return home, the view from the beach to the pool area was a great experience. We would return ❤️. I would like to include that the shower head is loose and needs to be tightened and the tube faucet needs to be spun tight and hit with more waterproof silicone and bathroom door has a puncher came from the condo door hitting it p.s was like that when we got there but just wanted to let you know what I see but I will rent this again ❤️❤️
Having stayed at this property many times in the past, I was more than happy book it again. The property borders a golf course, has an amazing pool with waterfall & grotto, plus it sits a mere 300 yds from the beach. Ashley made this trip especially nice, as her unit was spacious, well stocked, had awesome AC, and a fantastic view of the pool deck and beach! Most importantly, Ashley was so accommodating and always had a warm manner about herself! If I could rate her 10 stars on everything, I would! An absolute joy and we will definitely book with her again!
This is a must stay. From the elevator it takes 5 minutes to walk slowly to the beach. The walk is through the pool area then to a sidewalk that lines the parking lot. The beach has a designated area for Sandestin guests, so that helps it to not overcrowd. There are chair and umbrella rentals available. They were about $60 per day for a set and cheaper if you rent for longer. If you aren’t renting them, get there early to secure your spot. There was a life guard on duty. The sand was the whitest, cleanest, most beautiful sand I’ve ever seen. It’s a beautiful and well taken care of beach. The pool was heated and very clean. The hot tub was big and clean too. The room was clean and spacious. There are two elevators in the building to take you to the 8th floor. There was never a long wait for them. There’s a ice machine on the parking floor. The room had a blender, lots of in-room towels, and a starter kit to wash a few loads of laundry and dishes. The balcony overlooks the pool and you can see the water in the distance from all angles. The couch was very comfortable to sleep on. There are blackout curtains to block out light. Since this is a Sandestin resort, you have access to The Village of Baytowne Wharf which is such a cute area. There’s restaurants, shopping, an arcade, and activities each night. Suggestions: bring your own beach towels. I don’t have one bad thing to say about this place though. We will be back!
Very nice space and location. Very pleased with every detail. My only critique is to receive a little more info about the condo and what is included more than a day before our stay in order to know how to pack. That is what is included in the bathroom and kitchen. And other important information. Didn’t know how to contact anyone before then.
Upon arrival we were informed that there was no water in the building due to a construction accident but within 4 hours was service was restored. The balcony was nasty with bird droppings everywhere. The balcony furniture was dirty. The carpet had recently been shampooed and the liens were clean and fresh.
The condo was great! It was extremely close to the beach- maybe a 2 min walk? The carpet is very dingy and the plastic shower curtain was stained but other than that the condo was clean. The bed is very hard, as others mentioned, but it didn't bother me that much. The lint trap in the dryer was broken and could fall out whenever we were drying things but that didn't really affect us much. I would stay here again. My only gripe is that the pool closed at 10pm every night.
Everything was as noted in the listing. The check in system was flawless and my last second questions were responded to very quickly by the host. The mattress was very comfortable. It was clean. It was a very busy week but we hardly knew there was anyone on our floor. The area is a very fun place. We stayed the first week of August and it's everything we wanted. My parents have been staying in the villas for the last few years during the winter and went this week, too. They really liked the condo and found one available for their winter 2022 month stint. They decided they liked the Luau better than where they were. They love the resort area. The only thing that I could suggest is a binder of information about the building and area. It took us 4 days to realize that the below level parking was the most convenient location to park, that there was an ice machine on the parking level and we had to go looking for trash disposal after a few days (which there's one on every floor). Also, I saw a shuttle driving around that I would assume we could have used. That's not a complaint, just more of a suggestion. It was very enjoyable and we would book this condo again.
This Condo exceeded our expectations! Will definitely consider renting again! The Luau towers are perfectly located with spectacular views and close to so many activities and a short walk to the beach. The Sandestin Golf & Beach resort is beautiful all around, very secure, and well maintained. Everything is plush and green. It has over 5 miles of walking trails with many of them shaded, and 4 Golf Courses! You can walk from the Ocean to the Bay with no interference from traffic. Baytowne was my favorite golf course, and you can see hole #14 (the par 3 hole) from this unit. There is also a very nice challenging putt-putt course a block from the condo. The beach is a very short walk, we went out every day.
Pros:
-Perfect location in Sandestin Beach & Golf Resort
-Incredible views of the Gulf and the Bay from one room!
-Height of 8th Floor is perfect for privacy
-Layout of living area, kitchen, & bedroom is great and spacious.
-Beach is very close walk.
Cons:
-Mattress is old (creaks) and too firm. A memory foam topper would do wonders. (hint, hint).
-TV’s are very small in bedroom and living room (26” in both places) and outdated. Suggest removal of TV cabinets and upgrade to larger screens. Also need streaming ability on TVs for Netflix, and or Roku, etc.
This was a great place. Felt really safe and so close to the beach and shopping (the most important things right?) The one thing we had problems with was our room’s fan made LOTS of noises and you can’t really sleep in Florida without a fan. We found a way to fix it temporarily. Had so much fun!
