Halloween Getaway

Cabin was great! Our Trip was great. My only concern is, you gotta tell people about the road to the cabin, it’s pretty steep incline, and it would be difficult to get a car up there. It rained and the road got wet. And I needdd to put my truck in 4wd to get up.

Grin and bear it with earplugs

Very cute place games fkr kids pool table and hot tub ok view but also back enough for privacy road is steep and mossy ( slick and a little scary in wet weather. Only major issue The house has settled over the years so some of the doors swing shut if left open on the bedroom side of the house this is where most of the house settling has occurred some exterior maintenance is required as front facia of the house was compling off a little the house squeaks alpt sp no sneaking around to keep from waking others and every sound to include someone rolling over in bed makes quite the racquet. Great place for the price or of youbdont spend a ton of tome indoors at the house

Great lay out in a private setting with plenty of entertaining amenities. Home was very neat and clean. The driveway is intimidating at first but manageable. I would suggest AWD or 4WD vehicle to navigate it, as we discovered the wet leaves on the driveway required extra traction. We enjoyed every minute of peace and solitude and look forward to another visit soon. Also if you enjoy playing pool, I might suggest that you bring your own chalk.

The cabin was beautiful and nice to stay in. We had read reviews prior to going and the drive to get there was a little rough as reported. We did have an issue with the front door handle, but overall it was a nice place to stay.

Nice cabin

This was a very nice cabin and very close to Pigeon Forge. Everything was as advertised. Very clean. Our two boys enjoyed the upstairs loft and game room. Very nice back porch. The only thing the cabin lacks is a view. But overall it was a great experience. I would recommend to others.

Disappointing Get Away

Upon arrival discovered oven door was broken and not functional; had planned to eat in and use it. Also discovered what appeared to be mold on the ceiling on the second floor. Driveway and roads are a bit challenging to get up to the cabin. Wouldn’t recommend the property.

Nice Cabin With a Couple Problems

We loved staying at this property, it was the perfect fit for two families with kids. It is in an excellent location at the south end of Pigeon Forge, which means you don’t have to fight traffic to get to the National Park. This was HUGE for us. The kids and adults all enjoyed the pool table, video games, and hot tub. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. We really did enjoy our stay there. This being said, we did have a couple issues. When we arrived on the first day it was 78 downstairs and probably in the low 80s upstairs. The AC had a very hard time cooling the whole cabin. We had to turn the ac down to 65 in order to get it to cool upstairs, which basically froze us downstairs. We did call maintenance the first day and he came out promptly and took a look, but said it was most likely because they turned off the AC after cleaning it. We kept it at 65 because the temp would climb during the day if we took it up any higher and the kids were all sleeping upstairs where it got really hot. In addition to this, the road to get to the cabin is VERY steep and it rained one of the days. Both of our cars spun out just prior to the driveway, so we had to back up and gun it up the hill to make it all the way up. Two tires had to be replaced due to this, so if the wheels start spinning, just stop and back up. Lastly if you use both showers at one time there is very little water pressure, so we tried our best to alternate, but with 9 showers being needed that was difficult. All this being said, we did really enjoy our vacation here. It was quiet, beautiful, and you can’t beat the proximity to the park.

Much less than expected....

You ask me what I loved about this place?..... My family has been vacationing in rental cabins for years. There was truly nothing about this cabin that we loved. Sure it provided warmth, protection from the rain, running water, indoor plumbing, and electricity. I can say that I loved having all of that. Otherwise, a disappointment. We won't be booking this listing again.

Great House

Great cabin. A couple minor maintenance items need addressed like the main shower faucet and a slow drip in the main bathroom sink, but barely noticeable. Great layout. It’s definitely in the mountains. Got used to it, but the steepness of the drive was definitely a surprise upon arrival, but it’s fine.

Excellent Choice

The Cabin comes very recommended. Close enough to the main strip to be an easy drive but has enough distance to where you don’t hear the hustle and bustle.

family vacation

I took my family for a few days vacation this month. The cabin was roomy and clean. My family loved the pool table and video games upstairs. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The bathrooms were nice and lots of room with full showers in each. The road up to the cabin was tricky and steep, but we made it ok. The location was great, private, but not too far out from the grocery store and lots to do close by. We will definitely come back for our next vacation.

Spacious and well appointed cabin. Perfect for a family getaway. Only minutes away from the main strip. But nestled out of the way up in the hills.

Christmas Vacation 2019

My family of 5 stayed the week of Christmas. The boys (9, 11 & 17) loved the upstairs loft! It was like there own kid cave with the beds, pool table, arcade machine, furniture and TV. The hot tub was a nice touch to relax during the cooler nights. The only thing I would suggest would be to include some more pans for cooking on the stove. I know it's only a rental cabin but the pans were very minimal, old and hard to work with. Overall, I would book again with Vacasa!

Easy check in, clean, beautifully decorated cabin.

Loved staying in this cabin with our kids and grands! It lacked nothing! The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was due to a small structural problem on the railing of the deck. This was reported to Vacasa and their response was immediate! Will definitely rent with Vacasa again and would love to come back to Grin and Bear It!
