The property was perfect for us. The location was convenient. Loved the 2 close beaches. They were small but weren't crowded and were great for all of us. The home was beautifully decorated and the kitchen well appointed. There were lots of little amenities that made our stay perfect. Would definitely stay here again.
We were two families staying in town for a baseball tournament. The house was a perfect location - less than 10 minutes from Sports Force. The owner was so accommodating of our game schedule with check in and check out. The place was really clean and very comfortable. All the staples were available for us to use. We loved sitting on the deck overlooking the water to drink coffee in the mornings. Thank you so much for having us!
The kids enjoyed the space of the house. There were six of us and me and my husband even got our own beds lol. View is beautiful. Lots of games, garage to store bikes, smaller vehicles. Wish we had got to spent more time there but that’s life:)
Hosts were amazing and accommodated us in every way! We had 3 families staying and the house was a perfect fit! Relaxing listening to the waves at night. Convenient location for great activities.
This property was very well maintained and extremely clean. A big family room and dining area made it handy for a big group. Kitchen was extremely well stocked as well as bathrooms. Nice big pantry for storage.
There was a very handy two car garage. Beach chairs and float boards were handy. Big deck with table and chairs. The owners were very receptive to everything being used.
We enjoyed our stay here. The location was very nice. Could see Cedar Point in the distance and it was nice to sit out on the nice table and chairs and watch the water. Was a bit disappointed there wasn't a fire pit.
The home is older and in some areas, it showed its age but not enough to deter us from having an enjoyable time. The house didn't allow pets but the garage smelled of cat litter and there was a couple pieces of cat food in the bedroom upstairs when we arrived. Cleaning service could've been better - I don't think the floors had been mopped in a while.
The kitchen was well stocked - Keurig coffee maker and a one cup traditional coffee maker plus other small appliances to make cooking convenient. It was nice to have ketchup and other condiments in the fridge too. Those are things that are a pain to have to purchase. Not sure if those were stocked by the owner or if they were left behind by the last guests.
It was just our family of 5 so everyone had their own bedroom and it was nice to have such a big wrap around couch to sit and watch movies on at night. Nice spaces to play games - and they had stocked the games too!
Communication with the owner and the neighbor who gave us the house code was great. We didn't need anything while we were there so we didn't need to have much communication with the owner.
We stayed on the lake for 5 days, the property was nice and well maintained. It was great to sit on the back deck and look out over the lake for meals. We went to cedar point and the beach while in town. The road getting to the house are a bit narrow but having the garage to park in was great.
We were quite happy with our accommodations. The sleeping arrangements worked out well for our 11 person party. Beds very comfortable. Plenty of extra linens and towels. Plenty of seating for eating. Very comfortable living room furniture . Enjoyed the use of the gas grill. Beautiful seating outdoors for the wonderful sunsets we observed every night. Garage a little cluttered and the fridge could use a cleaning. Great time had by all.
The leather sectional is fantastic!
I had never used a memory foam mattress before but really liked it.
I had never been to the neighborhood before. It is kinda interesting with the small streets, houses close to each other, etc. But you don't feel close to others in the house. The two car garage was very helpful.
The pier in the nearby park is closed due to damage. the kids wanted to go on it but it looked dangerous. I did see people fishing off it still.
I really enjoyed the view from the house. It was a bit chilly/rainy during our weekend but we still went out there a few times. There is a nice table and chair set out there. Seeing Cedar Point from a distance is very cool.
We did Cedar Point during our trip and getting back to the house during the day for a brief rest was quick and easy.
House has definitely been renovated. The hardwood floors are very nice. The bathrooms were very clean and feel new. Kitchen appliances felt new too. You can see some age of the house in spots (pantry, etc) but nothing that affects the enjoyment of the house.
I'd say the house is more spacious than the pictures indicate. The back porch area is very nice to have if you have multiple families in the house. Four bedrooms are a great plus too. Other houses we've rented have had games/puzzles/etc but this is by far the largest collection we've seen.
We picked up a pizza from Jim's Pizza Box. Not bad!
We were a three families - grandparents plus two families with kids 2-8. Very comfortable. Communal areas are spacious. Did not feel crowded at all. The deck on the lake is fantastic. Good value. Nice neighbors on both sides who are permanent residents. Fridge in the garage is useful too. Definitely recommend
We were in town for a baseball tournament at Sports Force. This was a perfect place to stay not only for the tournament, but for access to Cedar Point. Easy check-in and great communication from the owner. The house was well-appointed and had a great view of the lake.
This house was a great Vacation House. The view on the lake was awesome. The house is very clean and spacious. It is only 10 minutes from Cedar Point and other attractions. I would recommend this property.
We (4 Adults, and 8 children) had an absolutely perfect visit to Sandusky. The house is clean, well maintained, and well stocked.
The view off the back patio is perfect. Cedar Point in the distance and nothing but water between you and Canada.
Host communicated well, and left us alone during our visit.
Definitely reccomend this home!
The house was nice. There was still laundry and dishes from a previous rental being done after check in but the house was otherwise clean.
The add says lake front property but doesn't make it clear that there isn't water access. This would have made me think twice since we had planned to spend our evenings bank fishing with our handicapped mother. I guess I should have asked.
The patio itself was broke and had exposed screws, assuming from the storm the week before. Still usable but made sure to wear shoes.
Property manager lives 6 feet away from the rental so if you are looking for privacy, this is not the house for you. Seemed like everytime we were outside a window or door would get cracked. Also, the neighbor on the other side had let us down to the water line, from their side and it wasn't 5 minutes before the property manager came out saying the owner doesn't want us over the wall. We told her that we went down from the neighbors side and all was fine....but this reinforced the feeling of constantly being watched.
It met our needs and was clean but between the water access issue and lack of privacy, I can't give it 5 stars.
Owner was very responsive and nice! House was great, had games for kids and adults. View was beautiful, we would have enjoyed even more if the weather would have cooperated and we could have enjoyed outside time. Enjoyed the gas fireplace too. Water pressure in showers was little low, but nothing that would stop us from renting again. Close to everything, overall an enjoyable place.
We were a group of 6 adults that stayed for 4 nights as a short Covid getaway. We were looking for a place on the lake so we could enjoy the nearby towns, beaches and take our boat for fishing. This location was perfect. As others have posted, the house is clean and well maintained. The house is well stocked with kitchen supplies, cookware, and dishes, and there are plenty of bath towels. Beds were very comfortable too. One suggestion to make the house even better is to add more seating in the living room (even bean bag chairs would be a nice addition) and additional furniture in the bedrooms.
Overall we had a great time - Shaun the property manager and Chris the owner are extremely responsive and great to work with. We would stay again!
