About this property

Remodeled vintage cabins! 31 day stay minimum. Longs Peak view! Sleeps 10.

Summer/Early Fall~ We can sleep up to 13 in beds, with 9 adults maximum recommended, though more are possible. Three cabins rented together and very close to each other. Children recommended for fold-out couch in Guest cabin and on twin bunk beds.

Note that from appx. October 20 through May 20 - every Winter and Spring - only the Main cabin and Guest cabin are available due to need to shut off the water in the smallest cabin. Main cabin sleeps up to 7 people total (5 adults maximum recommended) and Guest cabin could sleep 4 in a Queen bed and Queen fold-out sofa bed.

Main Cabin: a delightfully cozy piney wood paneled cabin, with full kitchen plus dining room with wrap-around windows, a comfortable living room viewing Longs Peak and an oversize outdoor deck. The master bedroom has a king bed plus a twin bed, the front bedroom with a king bed, and a small twin bunk room. Bathroom: only one full bathroom and one half bath in the Main Cabin. Amenities include a propane outdoor grill, many solid deck chairs and a picnic table for the porch. Also the living room has a fireplace. WiFi throughout with 11 mb speeds.

Guest Cabin: an efficient little cabin with a small living room (which has a fold-out couch) and a queen bedroom, plus full bathroom. We have a microwave and mini-fridge. Plus an outdoor charcoal grill ~ you should bring the charcoal and lighter. Includes WiFi.

Miners Cabin: a small, original 1884 cabin with a queen bed and one bathroom —tub only. This charming historic cabin is rustic—-expect a cabin from the 1800’s. No kitchen.
May-October only. Includes WiFi, though the signal is not as strong.

With 12 special acres of paradise this will make an unforgettable vacation!

These are the same views the explorer Enos Mills valued when he moved here in the late 1800's. Enos lived next door and is considered the Father of Rocky Mountain National Park. From his famous cabin he wrote to Congress and US Presidents until they finally created Rocky Mountain National Park!

Pets allowed are horses and dogs. ($15/night/horse and $250/stay/dog - you will need to clean the stalls for the horses please). Dogs are protected by the large fenced backyard. We do not allow the dogs inside unless kept in a kennel (or only on your lap!

Our land includes 4.6 fenced acres for horses which includes a nice 3 stall barn, and an additional 7.6 acres with the 3 cabins with amazing Longs Peak, Meeker Peak and Mt Lady Washington. This land stretches east uphill onto Twin Sisters mountain!

The large deck allows for outdoor grilling and entertaining with plenty of parking.

Access right off of Highway 7 south of Estes Park about 15 minutes. So grocery and restaurants are easily accessible.

Enjoy the Aspen and pine trees and view the amazing peaks from the convenience of comfortable leather couches inside or from deck chairs outside!

Relax and have a truly memorable vacation at Bella Vista!

IMPORTANT!!! - When booking November through April, only the main cabin and guest cabin are open - sleeping max 7 adults in beds, and 4 in sofa beds, plus 2 or 3 children for bunk beds and the single twin bed.

New Yorkers enjoying Colorado cabin life

We couldn’t have made a better choice for choosing this property. It was everything we hoped for and more. The property was everything as it was described and more. I could have sat on the deck all day and night. Star gazing without trees blocking the view was amazing. Each of us had plenty of space to spread out. I would highly recommend this location to families &/or adults. We did enjoy watching the elk who came by every day. Think he enjoyed watching us also because he made himself comfortable in front of the cabin and stayed all afternoon!!

THAT VIEW! Much needed family time.....

The Heard's beautiful property was just what our multi-generational family needed to re-connect in these uncertain times. All three cabins were comfortable, but with a deck like this, we spent very little time inside! We had several family members, aged 7 months to 82, including teenage boys, and everyone had the time of their life. A very well-equipped kitchen provided everything we needed to prepare several family meals, and the indoor/outdoor living provided plenty of seating.. Plenty of linens and comfy blankets for cool nights. AND THE VIEW - the pictures do not do it justice. Dan and Kelly were amazing hosts, we will be back! ( And if you have horses, the equine facilities are top notch!)

Great view but .....

I wish I could give this property a higher rating but unfortunately this is a renter-beware listing as we had problem after problem with this rental. I should state that I have rented many vrbo’s in my family’s past. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had, and I am a very low maintenance renter. - first, when you rent this property don’t expect you’re actually renting the entire 3 cabins even though the listing indicates it. I rented the property and was told I didn’t have access to anything but the main house. I was initially a party of three and went to a party of seven (after requesting approval from the owner for the change in my reservation). Really needed the extra space but was told my rate didn’t include the other cabins - even though I paid nearly full price and the same cleaning fee. - When my daughters and I arrived, I was greeted with a text to say hello to my girls from the owner...who was watching our arrival from the security camera. Not a feeling a mother with two daughters ever wants to feel - unsafe! I never felt safe and like I wasn’t being watched the remainder of my visit. - we were not allowed to use the fireplace even though the listing said it was available. - there were no sheets on one of the beds which created a fiasco on our first night. - I was asked which of the rooms I used in the main house so the cleaners would know which to clean. FYI, I expect ALL rooms to be cleaned when I rent a home, whether they were slept in or not. - I was asked several times to leave a five star review to help their ratings as a new rental. I am hopeful the owners will get a better handle on this property but I definitely left feeling like I was bait and switched and that I overpaid for what I got. Enjoy the view, but know what you’re in for.

Absolutely Stunning Views!

This property was perfect for our family reunion/celebration of life for my mother. The views of Long's Peak are AMAZING! The deck is filled with more than a dozen chairs and plenty of tables. The main cabin provides a large enough gathering space and yet the additional cabins allow for spreading out when desired. Everything was clean and the host and cleaning person were both very responsive to our needs. The beds were comfortable and kitchen was well furnished with everything we needed to cook large meals for the whole family.

Everything about Bella Vista was perfect. Sharon, the property manager, was so communicative and accommodating. The images in the listing don't come close to capturing how beautiful the mountain views are. This was the perfect venue for our micro wedding. <3

Wonderful

So enjoyed our time at Bella Vista. We were able to bring our dogs and horses with us and truly utilize all the property has to offer. Had a delightful BBQ celebration there the night before our wedding. All our guests loved the property. Our parents, all in their 80s, were able to stay with us. Thank you for helping make our memories so special.

Our Bella Vista stay

Overall our stay was amazing, we had more than enough room for our two sons and their families. I was a little disappointed that the tub in the small cabin was not operational, but that was a very small thing and did not affect our trip. We made some great memories and hope to come back.

Beautiful!

It was a great place to stay. Loved being away from town and the craziness of Estes Park. It is a beautiful location, close to Lily Lake where we went to walk every night and see the moose. Highly recommend it for a family vacation. Enough space to spread out, but still spend time as a family.

our Estes Park experience

We had an absolutely delightful getaway- we loved the location, it's close to the Rocky Mountain National Park & a not too far away drive to Estes, yet still peaceful & in the mountains! We had a herd of elk pass by within 35 yards from the cabin one evening which was super exciting for adults & kids alike! A highlight was the brand new deck with a beautiful view of Longs Peak & Lady Washington. The kitchen is well equipped to cook- during our 7 night stay we only ate out once! The grill works & there's plenty of refrigerator space. Definately recommend!

Bella Vista review

The deck alone is worth the price of admission. It is new, spacious and has an amazing view of Longs Peak. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for cooking. The beds are very comfortable, equipped with quality linens and plenty of high end pillows. It is secluded but only a short drive to RMNP. I highly recommend Bella Vista.

Beautiful views of Longs Peak

The cabins were wonderful, and the view of Longs Peak from the deck was amazing. Everything about this property was great, and we really enjoyed our family time together. We love to cook, and the kitchen had sharp knives, good pans, and lots of dishes, which is very important to us. The beds were all very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this place, and hope to come back again.

We fell in love with Estes Park in 1994 when we started going to the YMCA with our 4 children. We love the hiking, the wildlife - especially elk and moose - and the amazing blue sky and mountain vistas! We still come many times a year. As long term VRBO hosts of another cabin in Estes, we know what it means to be gracious and elegant.

Why they chose this property

We looked for years for a special property that would show off the best part of Estes for us - the mountain views. This is absolutely the best view of Longs Peak you can get. And the property is very large at 12 acres so plenty of walking and hanging out space. The location is still convenient with Estes just 15 minutes or less away.

If you hike with your dogs, note that here you are close to Roosevelt National Forest, where dogs are allowed. The best hike close to us where dogs are allowed is the Lilly Mountain Trail, just north of us about 2 miles. Also look in Estes for "Hermit Park" - another popular dog-approved area.

What makes this property unique

Unusually special view and large deck, vintage quality knotty pine paneling, wood burning fireplace, and cozy kitchen, and amazingly comfortable beds!!!

The summer months have become so crowded in Estes Park you will enjoy being out along highway 7 - with easy access to areas like the Wild Basin entrance to RMNP, the Indian Creek Wilderness area, Eldora Ski Area in the winter and Lilly Lake you will have plenty of options to enjoy the Park and other recreation areas. Aggressive hikers will appreciate a short 10 minute drive to the Longs Peak trailhead and the Twin Sisters trailhead. Great restaurants in Estes and Allenspark are available in the summer and fall. We have enjoyed The Summit View restaurant which is just a mile away, too.
