About this property
Wake up with wild flowers and wildlife
This is a tiny home with many custom features, firepit outside, grill, pond within walking distance. Great escape from the city. We have wildlife daily. Deer galore!! However, we are only minutes from all the great activities Glen Rose has to offer. Stairs are steep as this is a tiny home. Lots of room outside for kids to come and be kids. The stars at night are nothing you get in the city. Catch and release in the pond

Property is sat back on some acreage, secluded, hidden by trees. Beautiful and quiet. I would definitely stay here again. Hosts were very kind and pleasant, and communicating with them was very easy.
Great place! Loved our visit. I would recommend this place to anyone needing a place to stay in the area. The only complaint would be the dogs barking behind us at night while we were trying to sleep.
It was a great stay to take some time off the city and as a firefighter nurse relationship, this was a much nedeed stress relief weekend. We walked around the property and was always accompanied by the cat👍Would recommend to relax and have some fun around the parks!!
Came to Glen Rose to work an outage. 72 hour weeks. All that I really needed was a place to do the essentials. Shower, shave and what not. This was perfect for me and a friend who was on night shift. Fed the donkeys carrots and the couple of guardian dogs treats. It reminded me of home. Enjoyed our stay.
Great location for our eclipse trip. We also saw many birds, fossils, and wildflowers galore. The witches steps up to the loft have an extra-large first step and will not be navigable by many with mobility concerns.
Glen Rose is a beautiful area with many hidden gems.
My wife and I celebrated 1 year of marriage during a getting away to glen rose. It was beautiful, peaceful and just what we needed to reconnect and celebrate our marriage.
We had a great time staying in this apartment! The stairs are steep but that is made clear in the post. I'd suggest a baby gate if you have little. Our kids LOVED playing outside and walking down to see the ducks. The owners were wonderful and helped us with an issue we had immediately. We would definitely reccomend staying here to anyone we know except for maybe older people who might have trouble with the stairs.
This cabin is tiny, but it felt very spacious for my family of four. There is a cat on the property, twilight, who is very friendly, and was the kid’s favorite. There are also two dogs that bark time to time so a sound machine is definitely necessary. The stars were unbelievably beautiful! The pond was a puddle, nothing to fish in. The owners were really super sweet and helpful when we needed some vinegar for an ear infection. Overall, it was the perfect getaway from Dallas and close enough to activities, such as a Fossil in Rim and Dinosaur Valley.
My colleagues and I (three adults) stayed one night as were in Glen Rose for business. The location is remote but not too far from Glen Rose or activities in the area. It’s a nice unit with basic amenities for a quick stay. We would stay again if we planned another trip to the area.
The only negative was the proximity of the unit to the dog run for the residence. There were two dogs barking late into the night. Nothing that was too obtrusive but anyone who is a light sleeper may have a hard time with some occasional noise. Also, you may hear the donkey braying early in the morning (which we found to be hilarious).

Cleanliness
The place was not cleaned very good. Stuff on the floor like it had not been swept. The freezer was disgusting. I cleaned it before I would put my things in. Like they say steps are very steep. I missed a stair and fell . But I loved the location. Very nice and relaxing. I liked their dogs I played with them. Overall nice but would not stay there again. Mostly cause of the stairs...
Rented for my step brother & his wife for there anniversary. They told me they enjoyed the stay, property owners were nice. They said it was a nice clean cabin & they were happy with it.
the place is beautiful .. but many flies .. and one had a different Christmas .. we did not know that the owner was there controlling everything .. we did not like that .. we thought it was a lonely place .. in the middle of nowhere.
The only issue we had was the stairs up to the bedrooms. They are VERY STEEP. It's not ideal for anyone that has bad knees or anyone that is short. I'm 5'3" and had to climb up the stairs on my hands & feet. Other than that this cabin is awesome.

Great Place
Enjoyed staying here. Very nice, peaceful, getaway. Cute, comfortable clean, place. However there were problems with accessing the property and communicating with the host.
Weren’t sent checkin instructions prior to arrival. Entrance to the property required gate code which we did not know was needed until arrived there. Minimal cell service at the gate so was very difficult to contact host through the vrbo app. Message finally got through. Host answered we didn’t have reservation. Sent reservation id and then received gate code. Finally got in but still not clear communications with host about entering the rental unit. If pre arrival instructions and communication with host improves it’s a great place to stay.
My friend and i stayed in the Tiny house with our kids as we were visiting Dinosaure valley state park. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed the animals and all the outdoor space to play around. The hosts were very nice, giving us recommandations about restaurants for dinner. I forgot my bag there and they kept it safe for me until i came back to pick it up. Thank you !!!
My family enjoyed our weekend stay. Everything in the house was as described. Convenient to all of the attractions in Glen Rose. We visited Dinosaur Valley State Park and The Promise.
I loved the tiny house. The description was spot on and location to surrounding tourist spots was amazing. The place was very clean and had towels, sheets, pillows, and blankets provided. If I’m being very picky, I would have liked more trash bags. We only had one trash bag but made do. I’m sure if I would have asked they would have given me another trash bag.
In the property listing there is no mention of goats. It was however explained in the check in instructions provided the morning of arrival that there were three goats on the property and to shew them away from the 2nd gate. I had no problem with this however, sometimes the goats would make it through the gate regardless of what we tried. Often the goats were on the wrong side of the gate prior to me opening the gate. I was sent an email asking that I’m mindful of the goats. I do not feel it is my responsibility to make sure the goats don’t get through. As stated, I was very mindful and always did my very best. My 17 year old even tried to run the goats out the gate and fell and hurt himself very badly. We couldn’t get the goats out and spent almost 15 minutes trying when the female owner pulled up and said it was fine and not to worry. She was very nice but it was frustrating. Every time we were to leave through the gate I got very nervous and anxious, it was very uncomfortable.
I accidentally drive down the wrong path trying to get to the tiny house and was immediately met with the male owner. I didn’t know who this was or why he just appeared so suddenly. I started backing up to go the right direction and was met again by the male owner who made me feel very uncomfortable. He asked why I was there. I explained that I went the wrong way by mistake but he didn’t seem to believe me. I was with my two sons and felt very uncomfortable.
The property and tiny home are wonderful, but the goats and encounter with the male owner made me feel very uncomfortable.
