This is an off grid property with total isolation in a hidden canyon. The yurt is on 160 acres of private ground surrounded on all sides by the Sawtooth national forest. A creek runs through the middle. You will have to chop wood, use an outhouse and get by without any chance of human assistance. For some, this is paradise. For others this is the opposite. Access to the property requires some effort. In the summer access across the private forest track can be had by horse, mountain bike, truck or ATV. In the winter, it's a sled and back country ski paradise. Detailed directions and instructions are available for discussion before you commit.

We loved our stay and the scenery exceeded expectations. The yurt was clean and had plenty of amenities. Seeing the milky way with my bare eye was amazing. Perfect spot for a seculed easy to access getaway.
Honestly, i have been struggling with depression lately and have been really needing to get away. My husband seen this in me and took it upon himself to find a little getaway for my birthday. So Friday we set out on our adventure, at first we got a little lost thanks to trusty map quest, lol. We found service and called Aaron. He directed us right to our destination with ease. Upon arrival, we noticed the door was open so of course what does a woman do, send her husband in to ward off the obvious bear that had to be inside. No, no bear... something far more scary than a bear... it was a pack rat. So of course how for you keep a pollock entertained in a round yurt? Have him catch a pack rat! ( i can day this because my husband is polish). It was a scare and a laugh i needed. The scenery was incredible! The stars were amazing! We felt like the only humans on earth. We had two cow friends that said hi every morning. Tons of birds and bees. Heard coyotes, had a weasel friend too. Definitely a place to erase your mind. Thank you Aaron for sharing your piece of paradise with us.
Aaron’s yurt was a great new adventure for us and our teen kids! Beautiful secluded area and the yurt is comfortable w the basics needed for cooking & even a grill. Yet it’s rustic enough that you need to chop wood, get water and trek to the outhouse- so perfect adventure for the Outdoorsy!! The hot tub was amazing- did take a little longer than expected to heat- so start early. Once we learned to feed the fire often and the ice melted on the bottom is was toasty hot and such a fun experience!! The yurt was about 4 miles in from car to doorstep- pretty good hike up in the snow- but easy hike out downhill! Beautiful panoramic views too! Would definitely recommend!!
The Yurt is a beautiful, private and peaceful place to stay and we wished we could have stayed a few more days to enjoy it.
Very clean and well stocked with everything you would need.
The solar power was and added bonus.
The property is exactly as described. Aaron was an amazing host and very responsive to any questions we had.
We used the side by side to get to the property and we will definitely be back.
This yurt is in such a beautiful place. Directions were detailed and specific, creek is lovely, and solar power is a great addition. Private hideaway for those who are willing and able to navigate the dirt road in. Would certainly return!
Me and the ol lady had a wonderful stay here for Christmas. Came in on snowmachines. Very impressed how well the yurt held in the heat. Most equipped place like this I've stayed at. Basically everything you'll need is there. Aaron is a great host and cares about your stay. Will be back.
My wife and I stayed at this yurt for a couple nights to celebrate our anniversary.
We really enjoyed getting out of town and having some time to ourselves.
The yurt was well equipped and was everything we expected and more.
Would definitely stay again.
We used a side by side to get to the property.
We enjoyed our stay and the secluded location of the yurt. It was so peaceful. We appreciated having the yurt to get out of the thunderstorm, to sleep, play games and keep all our food and clothes out if the elements. We appreciated the grill outside, the camp stove inside and all the kitchen basics. It’s glamping at its best. The property Is exactly as described and probably not for everyone. It’s perfect for our family! Aaron was very easy to work with and the directions to the yurt were perfect. We will be back!
We absolutely loved our experience at this property. It’s rugged beauty combined with creature comforts made it the perfect place to relax and recharge off grid. It may not be for everyone, but we sure enjoyed every second of our stay. Can’t wait to return again in the future.
Loved this yurt! Great location, everything you need for cooking and purifying water is there. We enjoyed beautiful views on cross country skis and the hot tub alone is worth going for a stay.
Aarons yurt is an Idaho treasure. Tucked up in a private valley, this hut is everything an adventurer could ask for. A beautiful trek in the winter, there is plenty of terrain for backcountry skiing and adventuring. The yurt has everything you need for a cozy stay. A perfect getaway for you and the spouse, or the whole family!
We stayed two nights and had the most amazing time at Aarons yurt. The place is in a gorgeous location with lots of room to ski around. The yurt was comfortable, cozy and most importantly, warm, as temps were zero degrees at night. Aaron was extremely communicative and made sure we were prepared for the ski in and slightly rugged experience. It was a bit too cold for us to use the hot tub but Aaron had kindly filled it for us just in case. Would highly recommend this spot if you love a little adventure and glamping!
Christmas is a yurt?? Yes please!! I cannot speak more positive of the yurt, it’s accommodations and Aaron’s communication. They trek was a little difficult but only because we received over 15” of snow while there. We are already planning a visit for the summer!! Hot tub was as amazing as some of the views!
Great setup Aaron has up in the hills. The hot tub and the views were awesome. Easy to find as a dirt road goes all the way up there. A few creek crossings, but nothing too terrible. Aaron has everything up there just in case as well as having a very organized setup. Would visit again!
My husband and I typically tent camp, so a yurt was a TON of space for us. Aaron's directions for getting to the yurt were so accurate it made the trek in less worrisome. The property was gorgeous, and some of the pictures we took from our hike around the property could be postcards. It was not the cleanest of floors, countertops, or dishes, BUT it is camping. We did not expect the yurt to be so fitted with a tea kettle, functional propane grill, pots and pans, and other equipment we overpacked. This spot is truly majestic.
This place is so beautiful and peaceful and isn’t a terrible drive to get there. Exactly what our family of six was looking for in camping - peace and quiet, hikes, campfire time; combined with a more comfortable sleeping situation than tents and an awesome relaxing wood burning hot tub.
Aaron the host has very open communication which was helpful for us.
We loved the yurt! Photos don't do it justice. It was warm and there was no water in the creek - but we knew to expect that. Super fun, end of road location. Certainly for the intrepid - we loved it
